Everyone's eyes pointed towards Teren the moment Hanon called him. There was some interest but in their eyes, Teren is just that lucky bastard who got to date Iesa once. All in all, they don't know how to feel about the situation while some just flatly got disinterested.
Teren had never really defended himself, spoke up, or even try anything. That was, at least, in their eyes. Reality is miles different.
Teren stood up and walked out of the classroom. The moment he could pass by Hanon, he sensed a little bit of malice.
'Is the vision I saw back then happening now? Is this about that girl, Trisha Jane?'
Hanon has protected his students once and fell into Teren's hands because of it. Although he knew Teren's acts are wrong, he's aware that it's not worth it.
'I guess I'm not some hero... I only want to protect those who are precious to me.'
Hanon closed the door, choosing to let Teren do what he does.
"My teacher said you want something from me?"
Teren asked, unexpectedly making Chihua take a step back.
'What...? Why is he acting as if he doesn't know anything?'
Chihua felt like what he saw and experienced yesterday was just a dream. How could this person have the strength and guts to take their Boss away? There's no guilt on his face or anything. Teren was like a stranger at that moment, not knowing what's happening around him.
And that's why Chihua felt danger.
He took a few moments to steel himself. No matter how tough he is, he was never as tough as Trisha. Chihua could feel his legs trembling.
'He wouldn't do something to me in this place, right?'
That thought to ease his nerves was instantly destroyed when the memories of Teren killing two people back then resurfaced in his mind.
'No... he would do it.'
Chihua remained speechless. Now that he was actually in front of Teren, he lost his composure. He began to connect the dots as his senses tells him that to just escape.
'Yesterday, he also acted as if he was about to cooperate and that's why Boss let him in...'
The more is he thinks about it, the more Teren's image in his eyes becomes inhuman.
'He can kill in public, even though he's in the center of everyone's eyes... he's strength is greater than Boss... he had been out of prison easily... he's unpredictable...'
All of those points led to one thing-
'He can kill me whenever...'
Thud*
Chihua dropped on his back as he looked up at Teren.
'What was I thinking!? Going here!? I don't want to die!'
"Wait, did he just fall?"
The scene in the hallway was quite visible from the classroom. There were inevitably some who's watching them even though they couldn't hear anything. That's why when Chihua fell, it immediately gain attraction.
"What? What's happening?"
Meanwhile, those who knew Teren already expected this.
'Should I step in? I know Teren doesn't like attraction so...'
Nick thought but he didn't know what to do. At that moment though, there was someone who kept the students quiet.
"Hey! Don't distract the class!"
Catherine pointed at her classmates who walked up to the window to see what's happening. Bizarre situations happening in school is too few to count. Whenever one situation does occur, it would cause a ruckus that even teachers wouldn't stop.
But since Catherine told them not to, they could only sit down and watch from their seats.
"Thank you, Catherine... and Lina."
Hanon said. Lina who lost her chance to speak up just smiled and sat down.
'Spotlight-stealing turd... is this girl simping for Teren too? What an ass. Why can't you go back to fangirling your ballplayer?'
Nick could only sigh while oblivious to Lina's thoughts.
'The girls have more guts than me.'
Back to the outside, Teren offered his hand but this just made Chihua flinched.
"Don't go making a scene or you're next."
Teren muttered, giving Chihua a frostbiting chill behind him.
'Wait... what does that mean... Boss!'
Remembering why he was there, Chihua slapped Teren's hand away. With that, he knew he had stepped over the line. There's no more turning back now. After standing up, he deeply breathed.
'Of course, I came here to ask what this monster did to Boss!'
Right then, Chihua felt like he's some knight facing the dragon in order to save his princess. He suddenly felt heroic and righteous, dispelling some of his fear.
"What... did you do to Boss?"
He finally asked what he wanted to ask!
"Boss?"
"Tsk! What did you do to Trisha Jane? Where did you bring her?"
Chihua wanted to grab Teren's collar but he still couldn't dispel the remaining fear within him.
"Ah... her."
Teren muttered as if there was nothing out of the ordinary. A few moments afterward, he continued-
"I will tell you. However, not here."
"I will not fall for that! The last time we got some privacy, you attacked us!"
Chihua raised his voice.
"But I don't really want to say it in public. If you don't want to hear it, I have no choice."
Teren just shut his lips. For him, Chihua is just a bother so he was finding an opportunity instead.
'Does this man has potential too?'
Teren thought to himself and he just knows a way how to get someone to show their strength - it's by clicking their buttons.
When Teren turned his back and was about to return, he was stopped.
"Okay... fine. You dare to kill in public. I already overstepped the line. Let's go somewhere private."
Hearing this, Teren was slightly relieved.
'Yes, you've already overstepped the line the moment you called me out here. Even if you leave now, I have to do catch you.'
With that thought, Teren led him to the 'forbidden area', according to Lina. Where could it be except for the emergency stairs?
After the two of them entered the place and closed the door, Teren finally have the 'freedom'
