304 7.32 Pay 2 Win Are For Fat And Rich Suckers...!

I was soon back to the real world and handed Matilda the fused Poor Gems and held the remaining shards in my hand. Matilda then places the Poor Gems into the slot and reported that she had 78 of the rubies and emeralds. To make Fair Gems based on the quantity would only yield 15 pathetic ones...so let us wait for another week to make another 68 pieces of Poor Gems.

"Wow...Amazing...Caramba...! You took 60 mere minutes to fuse all those 136 chunks of gems? That's pretty remarkable...no surprise you protected this a tight-lipped secret."

"Yeah, even if someone craves this technology that I brought into the world...they have to transit back to the Bronze Age to amass just 1% of my knowledge."

"Ring leader...whats your insight like?"

"I'm already Level 13 of Humble Master. There are 8 more levels and precisely now I haven't even passed 1% of the first Cheng. It's going to take some years before I ultimately get past Cheng 1 I think. Ah...don't believe too much. What's your level on the iron mine, JL?"

"Matilda had already accomplished a single strike, I'm still at 5 strikes now. It would take about a week before I can manage to hit a single strike. Don't worry boss, I'd work hard on this..."

"It's great going guys. I'm going to see the copper and tin mine next and see what the monsters are all about. Does anyone have Light Foot or Cruising Along technique to traverse 1.5 faster on foot?"

"No boss...i haven't discovered that yet."

"What's thaaatttt...? Light Foot? Cruising Along? I only knew Athlete Foot or HongKong Foot. Cruises are luxury cruisers, right, like the Star Aquarius, Star Gemini and Star Sagittarius? Cruise to nowhere, and use up like a few thousand dollars on fine dining and casinos?"

I shook my head and employed my Cruising Along in front of them and went in search for the copper and tin mines and it took me just 15 minutes to reach there. I stood on the highest ridge and peered, looking for monsters and I found 4 clusters of Bandits near the vipers and tarantulas.

"Bandits are level 7 to 10, Vipers are 11 to 14, Spiders are 15 to 18 and grey wolves near that caves would be 19 to 22 while the honey bear is UNKNOWN. I've got it all noted down on the map. 4 types of monsters and we are going to break for lunch and head back to grind this time." I thought to myself as I marked the exact locations of the mines and the monsters as well and returned back to the duo.

....

"Here...take a look at this map here. I've updated it and according to the distance, it would be 1 hour on foot and only 15 minutes on Cruising Along. I would go to the trading district and get some tomes for you to read and I do hope that they sell the Light Foot technique for Vagabonds."

"Here...take these iron ingots and sell it for cash. Then buy the individual tomes and we can learn by ourselves. I've ever asked them before about learning skills and it costs 5, 10, 20, 40, 80,150, 300, 600, 1200 shillings to learn the stages from Unknown, Very Poor, Poor, Average, Normal, Good, Very Good, Best and Extraordinary respectfully."

"There's such thing as that, JL? Means I could pay 5 shillings to learn Unknown skills and slowly upgrade it till i got to Perfect? Whaaaaaattttt.....?!? In that case, we all should be Pay 2 Win suckers from now on...! Hahahahaha..."

"We can level up effectively if we need to. Gather around, let me write what skills we want to upgrade and we could buy the tomes we needed."

We all sat down and wrote on a notepad that magically appears in mid-air and we all wrote what we need to improve on our Primary and Secondary class (also known as Genre) as well as Sub Classes and Weaponry Skills.

I wrote mine as follows:

Primary Class: Swordsman

Secondary Class: Archer

Sub Class: Warrior

Weaponry:

Swords

Bows

Skills:

Crafting (weapons, tools, armour, materials)

Fusion (Jewels, weapons, tools, armour, materials)

Creation (weapons, tools, armour, materials)

For Matilda, she wrote the following:

Primary Class: Swordsman

Secondary Class: Swordsman

Sub Class: Warrior

Weaponry:

Swords

Skills:

Mining (copper, tin, silver, gold, minerals)

And for Jean Lethal is as follow:

Primary Class: Polearm

Secondary Class: Polearm

Sub Class: Warrior

Weaponry:

Polearm

Skills:

Mining (copper, tin, silver, gold, minerals)

To be able to reach a GOOD or a 6 tiered level, we need a total sum of investment as follows:

I would require 27,450 shillings while Matilda and Jean Lethal requires 10,980 shillings each respectively. I calculated that I need to withdraw 1000 pieces of Refined Steel plates to make up for the investments for the 3 of us.

"Once we purchase the tomes, you would be somehow bonded to this band...remember that, because the investments that I'm going to take out would be a huge amount."

"How much would that be ring leader? Is it an astronomical amount that we can never pay you back or what?"

"It's only 2500 gold coins. We need to rob a castle to achieve that amount. Alright, let's head back to the encampment. I need to get the stuff to exchange for gold coins and then we all can head back and help me purchase the tomes needed."

"Oh, My Goodness In A Jar Bottle...!! 2500 gold coins? I've only got 10 shillings from you and I don't know how much Matilda has too. How can we repay you back?"

"Aaaahhhhhh.....? That many golds? Are you sure you have that much amount of gold with you, Robin? Did you rob a caravan every day for one year or what? I've seen gold coins once in my life and it was during my father's time when he was alive."

"Like I've said to you before, I have about 59 thousand pieces of Refined Steel that can earn us 2 gold and 5 shillings each. I need a thousand of that and the balance would be for our expenditure in the months to come."

"Let's head back now. No point to mine iron, we should go for other pieces such as gold or minerals. But first, we need to upgrade our mining skills to achieve that."

......

"Let's all go to the smithy workshop. I've to dispose of these items before we can buy the tomes." I gestured all to wait outside while I greet the Smithy.

"Good afternoon kind smithy, please allow us into your workshop for we have a business proposal for you."

"Ah...the young man we all heard from York. No worries, one news from a smithy would always be channelled to the rest of us. Come on in...make yourself comfortable."

We went in and seated ourselves in the workshop and I presented a Refined Steel plate to the smithy.

"How many pieces do you want to trade?" The smithy spoke as he opened up his trading interface and i dropped in 1000 pieces in the first slot and I tried to raise it to 3 gold pieces each. The offer was countered back to 2 gold and 5 shillings and I have no choice but to accept.

"It's a controlled price, young man. Thank you for accepting my counter offer. I will pay them accordingly at 2500 gold coins. Agree?"

"Agreed, my good man." The moment both parties agreed, the exchange takes place and I got my 2500 gold coins and he got his 1000 pieces of Refined Steel Plates.

Later I learnt from the Smithy that the 1000 pieces would be distributed to the smithies who are interested as there are more than 250 smithies around England at that time.

We thanked the Smithy and walked out of the workshop and headed to the Peddler and asked if he had tomes for Swordsmanship, Bows and Poles and he answered, "Yes, young man. What levels do you need for Swordsmanship, Bows and Poles?"

"Do you have need specific levels to learn from all these tomes?"

"None at all...but of course you just can't buy a top-level tier if you hadn't read from the beginning level, am I right?"

I agreed with him and states the requirements for the three of us and he solemnly said, "That'll be 2740 gold and 5 shillings altogether. You have 3 basic tomes for a free gift, what would you like to choose?"

"I'd choose 2 Lightfoot please and 1 farming. That would be all, I'm opening my trade initiation now, kind Peddler."

He opened up his interface and after I checked through all the required tomes, I placed the amount and he asked if everything is fine and I replied its finalised and an agreement was reached and exchanges were made.

"Thank you, young man. Have a nice day and have a great journey ahead."

I bowed to him and we left and headed back to the smithy as I wanted to get a few pieces of armour from him. 3 studded leather vest, 3 studded leather three-quarters pants, 3 arms and forearm studded leather guards and 3 studded leather shin guards and it would be black.

He was pleased that we had returned to purchase the items needed and the leather armour was classified as Normal Tier and Subclass as Light Armor. The studded leather armour was the highest in its category of armour and the category was 1/4.

It was a total of 900 shillings or 45 gold and I have no choice but to retrieve 20 more Refined Steel plates and i did that in his workshop. After I passed the smithy the 20 plates of Refined Steel plates, he returned me 5 gold coins back.

After retrieving the items which would not fit inside the storage bag, we decided to hand-carry them. We rested at the tavern and piled our gears on the table and ordered 3 sets of dumplings and cranberries tea and it was paid by Matilda.

Jean Lethal opened up trade with Matilda and he passed all the iron nuggets to her for he felt ashamed since I had contributed so much and yet asked nothing in return. A trade was made between them and Jean Lethal told her to keep and fuse into something to sell and gain back some money.

"Don't worry guys, I've once said..'What's the use of money if it's not meant to be spent?"
