There was sharp blaring sound piercing Qiu Yue's eardrums, blinding her. But even so she knew she had to get Meng Hui to safety, that stupid person had gotten hurt trying to protect her!

Why had he done that? For someone like her he was putting himself in danger. He may not die but for a programmer his hands were very important, but even then, he could injure himself beyond repair, just how stupid could he be!

Yuan ZeXi felt like the world around him was disorienting and slow upon seeing the familiar blond fluffy haired boy being propped up by his boss. He was bleeding profusely from a tear in his sweater around his upper arm, and from the way his head was hanging, the fall had knocked him out.

Yuan ZeXi was left in a frantic daze, he didn't understand what to do in this situation. He reached out for Meng Hui instinctively, and gently held him up against his chest.

The fire's heat was hitting them all hard and the rest of the electronics, which still had power coursing through them were starting to spark dangerously.

Qiu Yue quickly shook her head at Yao Yan, assuring Yao Yan that she was fine and called the ambulance. They rushed downstairs with Yuan ZeXi who was holding Meng Hui. The latter was unconscious and still, and Qiu Yue was very worried about the extent of the injury caused by the blast.

"Put him down flat on the ground on his stomach, don't move him much. Don't touch anything in his wound."

Qiu Yue said quickly taking the bandages and gloves out of medical kit they kept on each floor. Qiu Yue had no experience with medicine but she had taken a course on first aid although mostly to help herself, she hadn't ever used it on anyone else.

As Qiu Yue was the only one who was calm she first put on the gloves to minimize contact with the gauze and then ripped apart the packaging to take out the gauze bandage. She then placed it on his lower back where there was huge laceration to apply pressure to reduce the bleeding.

But the bleeding wasn't getting as slow as needed, while it had reduced it was still not to the point of being okay. They couldn't wash the wound as there could still be shards or projectiles in it and it had to be kept as it was.

It had been less five minutes to the explosion when Huo Zi Feng burst into the lobby and rushed towards Qiu Yue immediately checking her for wounds or cuts and asking her if she felt okay. When he heard about the explosion his heart had stopped, for a moment he felt so shaken he lost his senses, even after that all he could do was run to her. Fear, fear had engulfed him, keeping him from being able to think of anything other than Qiu Yue and all the blood.

Zhou Jia evacuated everyone else while they waited for the fire truck and the ambulance. The fire had spread violently, there was no doubt that this incident was major news. But none of them had the opportunity to think about that, seeing Meng Hui scared a lot of them to death, seeing Qiu Yue keep calm and handle it was even scarier. Wasn't it normal for a person to panic in these circumstances? Qiu Yue knew panic once but after that time she hadn't been allowed to experience it.

"Too irresponsible."

Wasn't that what she'd hear?

But something was different this time. There was someone next to her, and the way he made her feel was different. So why couldn't she completely open up to him?

Yuan ZeXi rode on the ambulance with Meng Hui while Huo Zi Feng drove Qiu Yue to the hospital to get her checked, he wanted to make sure she didn't have any serious injuries.

Meng Hui was taken in for surgery while Qiu Yue underwent the required tests. Huo Zi Feng was told to his relief that she was physically fine and other than the cuts on her body there was no real damage. She was then given a tetanus shot in order to prevent any infection.

But this wasn't good news to Qiu Yue. She should have been the one protecting Meng Hui, it was her responsibility, her fault!

Instead, Meng Hui was hurt and she didn't know the extent of that either, and yet she was unhurt. If she had gotten hurt too then maybe she wouldn't have to deal with the restlessness and guilt she felt. Worry was eating her up, this had always been her proficient point - running scenarios with bad endings, each worse than the other.

Qiu Yue's eyes were shut tight as she went through the storm of thoughts in her head. Her hands clenched tightly as her nails dug into her skin such that she could feel the thin vessels pump her blood against them.

Even after Huo Zi Feng had called out her name more than ten times Qiu Yue didn't respond. His eyebrows furrowed and eyes narrowed a bit. He reached out to place a hand on her shoulder and only then did she open her eyes. Her expression was calm, too calm- cold almost, it was as though she was suppressing all her emotions.

"Ah Yue... don't blame yourself... you did all that you could..."

Huo Zi Feng didn't know what to say, to him honestly he didn't want her to ever get hurt.

Qiu Yue stayed silent, what was the point of saying it wasn't her fault? It was!

Yuan ZeXi came up to Qiu Yue and Huo Zi Feng stiffened in alert.

"What happened was not your fault."

His voice was cold and he meant what he had said, for some reason he knew Qiu Yue would blame herself. His words were nice, but useless, nothing would change the fact that Meng Hui had been trying to protect her.

"But if you know who it was, I need to know."

'If I know...?'

ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ

Suddenly Qiu Yue started to cackle, and everyone in the corridor flinched. Even Huo Zi Feng felt a tremor originate from his heart.

┬──┬╯︵ /(.□. )

'This girl flipped!!'

Of course she knew!

"I know ah... but after I finish no one else will ever know her."

Her mouth curved up into a brilliant and frightening smile, turning her eyes into half moons.

Was she so easy to bully? Sure she cried a lot, was very nice, super kind, so amazing! The best person ever!!

But once you crossed her, she loved to personally destroy that person. Qiu Yue had enough confidence— no, arrogance to say that if she wanted to make someone disappear no one would question it. Where this confidence came from was really within herself… and her current wealth.

If you have it, flaunt it no?

When Qiu Yue hugged him back Huo Zi Feng felt that whatever his wife said was right if she said it, he would do it, and some things even if she didn't say, he would still do it.

While Huo Zi Feng was away from her, Qiu Yue pulled out her phone and read the message that lit up her phone. Her eyes became sharp and cold, and she smiled without an ounce of happiness, she had been expecting this.

Qiu Yue looked at Huo Zi Feng who was walking towards her and with a blink, her eyes softened and her smile turned fatigued.

"I'll go home and get some clothes for all of you, is that okay?"

Yuan ZeXi wasn't going to leave and Qiu Yue and Huo Zi Feng were there to support him. Zhou Jia couldn't stay as she had to deal with all the work resulting from the explosion but Yao Yan had nothing to do.

'I'll grab those clothes after I go see our beloved~ female lead.'

In her mood, Qiu Yue had forgotten something. Seeing a young girl staring at a car in the basement with an intense amount of hatred, everyone scurried away, worried that they'd get hurt.

Why was this coming generation so violent ah?

Since she had to do it anyways Qiu Yue got into the car but her hate-o-meter for Bao FeiYin went up again.

Qiu Yue actually knew how to drive, but she also knew that she didn't like driving on roads with other people, she didn't like driving in high speeds, she didn't like driving through traffic signals or stopping, she didn't like dying in car crashes... but otherwise she okay with driving.

Looking at the carbuncle, derelict building with the front entrance literally falling at her feet she really felt that Bao FeiYin had been overpriced for that bomb.

'Perhaps I'll send her a sample of cheaper but more efficient bombs.'

She knew there would be someone hidden outside, waiting for her arrival, just so Bao FeiYin could take pictures of Qiu Yue now to incriminate her later.

But instead of going in, she put on the black hoodie that she'd taken from the apartment. She had already changed into something inconspicuous. After fifteen minutes or so, when the time to meet Bao FeiYin finally came, Qiu Yue walked into the building without hesitation.

Qiu Yue had placed her on cameras in a lot of different locations so she could get many different angles. Later she would stitch up the scenes to make a dramatic film.

Bao FeiYin felt very triumphant looking at the high and mighty Lang Qiu Yue scurrying in to meet her just like she'd ordered.

'I'll show her what I can do! I'll show her what happens when someone underestimates me.'

Bao FeiYin didn't bother to hide anything as she felt assured that in this location, that she had secured yesterday, Qiu Yue had no chance of doing anything to her. Outside, the stupid cameraman Bao FeiYin had met at a bar was already recording everything.

Bao FeiYin smiled innocently at Qiu Yue, Qiu Yue felt that the avatar customizer, ie God, had really given her good looks!

It was obvious to say Qiu Yue was cute, she wasn't the mature and beautiful type, but the type with big eyes, cute face, pink lips, and a very lovely smile. Bao FeiYin, on the other hand, had considerable assets. o.O

Her personality also reached for the lively, sunny and pure type.

It could be said that while Bao FeiYin strived for a sun-like aura, Qiu Yue naturally exuded a celestial aura like that of the moon.

This sun-like aura was annoying the fuck out of Qiu Yue. She clicked her tongue at Bao FeiYin. But how could she let Bao FeiYin alone act innocent?

"Xiao Yin...why would you do something like that? Even sending me such a message... someone forced you right?!"

As fresh tears spilled out of Qiu Yue's eyes and Bao FeiYin's mask started to crack, what was this girl doing?!

Obviously, Bao FeiYin had never met a fellow green tea bitch. But you had to understand, Qiu Yue was the reigning green tea king, acting pitiful? No one can do better! Crying on command? Anytime, anywhere!! Gathering sympathy? Making use of others to fulfill her wants? How do you think she became rich after all that nonsense in her life!

This Bao FeiYin wanted to trap Qiu Yue? If Qiu Yue didn't use Bao FeiYin's hands to slap her own face... then she'd write her name backward!

"If you had hurt only me... it would be fine... my life isn't worth much! But Meng Hui is just a kid! If something happens you would have the guilt of taking his whole future away..."

Qiu Yue stepped forward lightly as though hesitating and held Bao FeiYin's hands, but her grip was vicious. Qiu Yue kept pressing with an angelic smile on her, right into the parts of the wrist where she could maximize pain.

'This girl is finally showing her real colors! But she doesn't know I can get this on camera!'

Despite feeling the pain, in her mind Bao FeiYin felt like she was winning.

But how could Qiu Yue not know that Bao FeiYin's cameras could clearly see what she was doing? This was what she wanted! She felt her lips curling but she resisted the urge to laugh.

Let Bao FeiYin feel like she had won! If she had these recordings she'd approach the male leads for help, isn't that what she always did? For someone like Bao FeiYin, to truly make her disappear was to go take away her male leads first.

Then she'd send her a gift~

But physical pain wasn't Qiu Yue's style... psychological fear was.

She bent forward and whispered loud enough for the cameras to pick it up.

"You seem to think that you can win against me~?"

Dragging her words she taunted Bao FeiYin sweetly.

"What do you have that I don't? Hmm~ money? Haha! Power...? No way. Looks? I can fix that right~now!~"

Bao FeiYin could feel cold fear start to course through her veins. This girl, her voice was light and sweet but everything she said, Bao FeiYin could feel that she meant it.

"Brains? Ah~ if I say anything about that it would simply be bullying..."

Till now you weren't bullying?!

"Do your best~ little bitch."

Qiu Yue finished in classic villain style, and she had to admit, being a villain was strangely liberating. Perhaps she'd have to do this more often.

Suddenly Qiu Yue flinched away as though Bao FeiYin had slapped her hand.

'What's with this one-sided play?! That's my role!!'

Qiu Yue quickly moved away as though hurt and with tears glistening in her eyes she said to Bao FeiYin.

"Why would you hate me...? I thought you were a friend... we went to the same college..."

With an aggrieved look, Qiu Yue covered her mouth with her hands trembling in sadness.

Bao FeiYin from start to finish could understand how the play she had written was performed by Qiu Yue.

'What the fuck?!'

She was simply stunned silly and watched as Qiu Yue ran out of the building crying.

'Thankfully that Qiu Yue didn't know about the cameras and guarded only against anyone that might have been here...'

While she felt cheated and wanted to throw a tantrum she could only console herself with the recording of Qiu Yue's whispers. But in her heart, she felt very dissatisfied.

What Bao FeiYin didn't know was that this dissatisfaction would only grow.
