"what this can't be real, NO MUM!" Emma said as she immediately took out her phone to check on her parents

Though he was an orphan he still knew the love between families.

It was almost the same as the feelings he had for Hannah.

Hannah looked at her parents in concern before realizing a really big problem.

If medicines couldn't be made then what about her father?

She really skewed up big time, she forgot to buy a lot of medicine for her father who had high blood pressure.

Though she would gain the ability of healing in due time before she reaches level 3 which can help with most diseases or illnesses, in her father's case in level 3 she can help temporarily 'cure him' if she didn't get a long stable strain of medicine, her father might die!

Though her mother had stored a few extra medicines inside the RV in case of emergencies it would only last a month at most.

They would have to go to cities or raid homes for medicine but even so whose to say there's still any left?

Even with her healing abilities, she'd have to leave bases made by the government, later on, to scavenge or do missions, if she'd leave for too long they wouldn't her father get a heart attack?

You might think that she could just get other healers to help her do the job but healers were heavily wanted

With their ability to heal people after being wounded and a chance to fend off, infections are very crucial for battles or excursions.

So they would generally be deployed frequently, even if they wanted to take a break off their jobs they'd be forced to work in about a week or so due to their importance and rarity.

So, within a month she either had to procure more medicine or level up by 2 levels (when she gains abilities she starts off as level 1) within 1 month, the fastest record known by humans was 3 months.

So, she had to leave for the city or nearby towns the moment everyone gains their abilities.

But, then again leaving known to a nearby town would be better, since zombies were still at level 0 they could easily be killed using baseball bats.

Within a month a small number of zombies would level up to become level 1, not only could they start running then, they also became more resistant to damage, a bat could only kill them after several hits and a gun would mostly be used for it.

Hannah really wished she could cultivate but sadly, there was qi in the air.

Maybe she could use Xiao bai but it'd be better to only take him out when she reaches level 5

If the zombies managed to bite Xiao bai what could she do?

She wasn't sure of the effect of zombie virus on being who cultivated qi.

Would Xiao bai remain fine or would he become a really overpowered zombified beast?

It was really not worth the risk and letting Xiao bai experience such dangers is not something she would want for her companion who's been with her for so long.

Besides encountering life-threatening situations is really useful when it comes to awakening powers.

After finishing their calls and making sure their parents were ok they told others of the situation happening

Though nobody really wanted to believe it, it'd seemed as if the apocalypse had really began.

Emma seemed really out of sorts and really worried.

No one could really stay calm facing the fact that such an event that only happened in movies happening in real life

Their parents were fine and the army was busy trying their best to contain the situation but now it seems really dim with about 65% of the population already dying, smaller countries couldn't hold out and fell already.

Using bombs would be effective for clearing out areas overrun with zombies but that would also destroy the resources present in the area.

In such situations, foresight was required to tell that every resource would really be useful

When the countries recovered they could always send people to gather supplies.

Back on the story Eleo who was calmer than Emma said that their parents suggested they head towards backwood city, it's been told that it was one of the areas zombies didn't break out in and was quite safe.

They were already starting to build walls to protect that area

Their parents were also heading there

According to the plot that place was relatively safe though it'd experience a great wave of zombie sometimes later and kill 40% of the people at the base, it was really one of the safest places compared to other camps

They would also pass by a small town on the way there so Hannah could gather supplies
