"I know this place is old, but the feeling, the vibe of this place is very historical. So breathtaking." Aside from her admiring every type of motorbikes, Anna also likes to admire old things.
She thinks that because of her grandfather, she does and likes things that she never expected. Her wanting to pursue painting is because of her grandfather. Her grandfather painted her a portrait of herself when Anna was seven years of age. The result of the painting was very beautiful, that was the reason why she wanted to pursue painting now.
"You're being weird, sister." When it comes to admiring things, Anna and Aaron are the exact opposites. Aaron admires fast cars and modern technologies. With them admiring different things, they sometimes argue about it.
"Brother, I'm not being weird, I just have good eyes in things, and you don't." Whenever Anna sees a chance, she would tell her brother that the beauty of old things is better than the beauty of modern things.
Aaron scoffed at his sister, "Please, good eyes? Seriously? I think you are wrong." Aaron wants to prove to his sister that modern things are better than the old ones. However, no matter how much he tries, his sister never agreed to anything that he said.
As Anna and Aaron continued their argument, Aaron led his sister to the room where he found that intriguing item.
"Old things are—" Anna was not able to finish her words when her eyes landed on a very beautiful item that is protected by a glass case. "Oh my goodness! I want that." She declared. She rarely wants somethings, but this is the first time that she wants to have a beautiful necklace like the one before her.
She's not really a jewelry type of person, but there is something that is pulling her to want to have that necklace. She could tell that there is a story behind it.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" When Aaron made that comment, his sister looks at him with a surprised expression. He noticed that look on her face, and asked her, "What? Did I say something wrong?"
"No. No. I, I'm just surprised that you said that. This necklace is old, and you never like old stuff." In just one glace, Anna could tell that this necklace before them is very historical. And for her brother to like it is very surprising. They even argued about modern and old things earlier.
"That is true, but even if this necklace is old, I do appreciate the beauty of a thing that has a story behind it." Aaron can tell that this necklace describes the legacy of their family, where the Colemans started to climbed up.
Aaron never asked his grandfather about their family history since all he does is complain about the works his grandfather is giving to him. Now he regretted not asking about their family history.
Without any warnings, Anna took the case off and then lifted the necklace up. Aaron was shocked and was about to scold his sister's action when the wall behind them suddenly opened. The twins were startled by it. They stared at the opened wall. They can tell that it's a passage that leads to another room.
"Um... Please tell me that our family history is not about our ancestors selling drugs to climbed up the ladder." Seeing that dark path, Anna can't help think that there is a dark history of their family.
"It might be possible that is the case, but let's hope it's like that because I don't think that I can be proud calling myself a Coleman if our ancestors started off doing bad stuff." Aaron has always been proud of his family name, and it would be heartbreaking for him to know that their family history started with a bad beginning.
The twins sighed and exhaled deeply before taking a step forward the dark path ahead. Since it is dark, they turned on the flashlights on their phones, and they could see spider webs on walls and ceilings of the passageway.
Anna sticks close to her brother since she is not a big fan of spiders. If a spider were placed on her, she would scream very loudly, and she might even cry. "No spiders. No spiders." For the whole time, those were the phrase Anna kept telling to herself.
At the end of the passageway, the twins saw a door. Without waiting for another second, Anna immediately opened the door and dashed right inside, and her brother casually followed her from behind.
Unfortunately, the room is also dark, and the only light that they have is on their phones. As Anna and Aaron searched for something that could turn the lights on the room, Anna suddenly felt something crawling on her left shoulder.
Not thinking much about it, Anna casually looks at her left shoulder. When she saw what was on her shoulder, she froze on the spot, she did not dare to move a muscle. In her mind, three words kept on repeating, 'It's a spider.'
The spide stayed still, but it's only for ten seconds. When the spiders started to move again, Anna shriek very loudly that it startled Aaron. Anna jumped and runs around the room, Aaron tried to calm her down, but it did not work.
Anna lost her balance, then her back slammed on the wall, and at the same time, lights turned on.
"Wow. Good job, sister. You found the power for the lights." As Aaron said this, he helped his sister up. He wants to laugh at Anna's appearance right now, but he is unable to do so when he saw that Anna is about to cry.
'It's just a spider, why are you making that face?' Aaron inwardly said.
"I need more than you praising me, brother." Anna feels upset that her brother is not even cheering her up. A little monster just scared her and this is the treatment she is getting from her brother?
Aaron did not bother to reply back to his sister and started to look around the place. "One thing is for sure, there are no drugs in this room." Aaron doesn't know whether he should feel relieved or not.
It's a good thing that there is no sign of any bad drugs, but the things inside the room are somewhat suspicious. Everything is old and rusty, he can't tell if the things inside are used for good or bad.
