As soon as Anna gets away from Marietta's grip, she went towards the door and opened it. There, everyone in the room saw three figures on the other side of the door. Those three figures are Leon and the other two associates of James Coleman, Isaiah, and his daughter.
"That's the man from the footage." Martha's so mumbled. He has no idea what the twins are planning, but whatever it is, he is sure that he's going to have fun.
"W-what is he doing here? O-only family members are allowed to step inside this mansion!" Marietta who is having a bad feeling the moment she saw Isaiah suddenly stated the old rules of the Coleman family.
"The rules won't matter if you want us to provide you further evidence to prove that you are a traitor," Aaron said with a smirk. He and his sister had a feeling that one of his uncle's associates are going to deny their acts, and if that happens, they both sent Leon to fetch Isaiah and his daughter to come to the Old Mansion.
"Further evidence, you say? From the footage, all of us in this room saw that the old man gave money to these two. What if you two paid that old man to ordered these low lives to make a statement against me?!" Marietta is so thankful that she paid attention to what was happening on the footage.
If she didn't pay any attention to it, she wouldn't be able to defend herself like this. 'Now, what will be your argument to that, you damned brats! Everyone in the room saw the footage! Wrong move!' Marietta is now delighted that there is a chance for her to escape.
"Unfortunately, we didn't pay them to do any of our biddings. In fact, they borrowed money from us and here's the contract to prove that." Anna and Aaron are not stupid enough to give money to someone so freely.
In the contract, it says that Isaiah is borrowing money from the Colemans. With so much greed inside him, Isaiah did not take his time to read the contract. The twins predicted that, and they are glad that Isaiah is the same person they think he is.
Isaiah heard that then he dashed his ways towards Anna to take a look at the contract she is talking about. Once he got his hands on the contract, he reads through everything and his hands are trembling at the same time.
"T-this is a scam! A scam, I say!" He won't believe that this contract he signed is a legal one.
"A scam? Heh." Aaron scoffed. "In order for all this to happen, my sister and I took the time to have this contract in a legal way. Why on earth would we put ourselves in the whole bunch of trouble just to make a fake one? It will only taint my family name."
The thought of having a fake contract for Isaiah to sign his name in did came across Aaron's mind, he even suggested it to his sister. But Anna rejected his idea, saying that it might put them in a bad position. With the help of their uncle Leonardo, they were able to have the contract sooner than they expected.
"You could say that it's a scam, however, the paper that you signed your name is a legal one. And besides, you're the one who didn't read the papers. It's not our fault that you're greedy as a hungry pig." Anna said in a matter of fact tone.
Devastated by everything that he's been hearing from the twins, Isaiah has his knees onto the floor. Not only that he will be soon arrested for doing bad business, but he also got himself in a big debt because of the twins.
"You know, you would have been able to pay us some of the money we lend to you if you and your daughter didn't spend all the money in one go." After sending the money to Isaiah's account, Aaron was keeping an eye on them and he did not expect both Isaiah and his daughter all the money in just a day. "Really. You two need to control yourselves." He added.
Turning their attention away from Isaiah, the twins looks straight at Marietta. "As you can see, Elder Marietta, my brother and I are one of those people who works hard to achieve what we want. We are not like those people who only know how to use their money to control people below them. That's not my nor my brother's characteristic."
Anna wants Marietta to understand that whatever she does there is nothing else she can do to escape the path that she is in now.
"T-then what is he doing here? What is his connection with Aunt Marietta?" James asked. Even knowing that everything is over for him, he is still trying to cover up Marietta and Rent which is making Anna frown at that fact.
After some digging, Anna found out that Marietta and Rent told James that he is an adopted child, and because of that, they are using James' anger to their advantage. They even told James that he owes them for telling the truth that Marcus couldn't do.
Learning that Rent and Marietta are using her uncle James' anger for their advantage, Anna could not bring herself to take pity on him because she would not allow herself. A man who is letting his anger take control over himself and is not seeing the love that is surrounding him from the very beginning is not someone Anna would feel pity on.
"Uncle, don't even try to take everything to yourself, and as for the connection between them is the same as yours. There is no need for me to further explain it since all of the information you want to hear is already inside the folder." Anna discreetly looks at the time and felt extremely exhausted just by looking at it. She can't believe she and her brother have been talking for quite some time.
"Since I'm in this position now, I won't allow myself to go down alone." Isaiah who lost all hope suddenly spoke, and it startled both Rent and Marietta. "Not too long ago, after the meeting with that old man, I met up with your uncle James and those two old Coleman couple. We discussed everything that we needed to eliminate those who are getting in our way." Isaiah also gave out the names of the people who were present in that meeting.
Some even tried to make him stop talking, but with Leon on the side, they were unable to do anything. Those who didn't even try to stop Isaiah from talking kneeled in front of Marcus and begging not to kick them out of the family.
Is was such a sight that made Anna angrier than before. "How dare they kneel in front of grandfather like that? How can they be so shameless." She mumbled but her brother heard her.
"Well, that's the only thing they can think of now because if grandfather decided to kick them out of the family, they will be on their own. The Coleman family will not help them out when they're in trouble." Aaron spoke.
Some members of the Coleman family, have their business, and if their business is in trouble the main branch of the family is willing to help out. And that is the main concern that traitors are worried about.
"Enough!" Marcus shouted, then everyone is in silence. Marcus turns his attention towards his eldest son, and great disappointment is vivid in his eyes. "James, are you not gonna say anything to defend yourself?"
For the first time in a very long time, Marcus is a big dilemma. He does not want to punish James, but if he doesn't do it many loyal members of the family are going to be displeased by him and the respect they have for him might decrease.
"H-Honey, say something! Come on!" Gloria who has no intention of going back to the world she lived in before marrying into the Colemans is now begging her husband to say something. But seeing that her husband has no intention of saying a word, she turned around and opens her mouth. "F-Father, I, I know that James made a great mistake, but can you please not be too harsh on him? He is still your son, am I right? B-Besides, Sharon's life is at stake too."
"You are right. He is my son, and it breaks my heart to know that he is betraying our family." The moment the twins revealed the ring leader of those schemers, Marcus has been asking himself, what did he do wrong? Is the love and attention he gives to him is not enough for him to be like this? Is it about the succession in the family business? Those are the types of questions running in his mind and he wants James to answer all of that.
