"Give up? Heh." Aaron scoffed. "You have known my family for a long time now, uncle Leo. Do you really think that we give up without even trying? The Colemans won't back down just like that." He might be complaining about a lot of stuff, but that does not mean that he won't actually do it.
For Leonardo to say that to him, is making him feel irritated. From his point of view, it seems like Leonardo is looking down on him. His pride is hurt when he thought of that. He came from a prideful family, and this is the way his uncle Leo is seeing him, then if that is the case, he will make sure that Leonardo will regret looking down on him.
"Let's see about that." Originally, he was only making sure that Nathalia and Aaron didn't hear his conversation with his wife, but now that it has come to this, he would like to test Aaron.
A test that could make him see how serious Aaron is about the organization.
Leonardo then glances at his daughter. He broods over on what he should do about her. Should he let her be a part of the organization like him or not? But then again, he should about this matter with his wife and daughter.
They both have the right to say something in this matter. He can't always be the one making the decisions for them.
"As for you Nathalia," Nathalia was slightly startled when her father mentions her. "You, me, and your mother will have a talk about this later."
Nathalia's eyes brightened hearing that. If her father said that, then that must mean that there is a possibility for her to be part of the organization.
Crona, on the other hand, was grateful that her husband said that. It's a good thing that they are going to have a family talk about the organization.
Both husband and wife left their spot and the ones who are left are Nathalia and Aaron. Aaron glance at the happy expression in Nathalia, and he frowned.
"You know, being a member of the organization is not that easy and everything that you do inside there is dangerous." If only he has a say in this matter, he would like Nathalia to not take part in the organization. It's way too dangerous, and as far as he knows, Nathalia has no experience in a physical fight, or even defending her self physically.
Nathalia knows that Aaron is concerned about her, but for some reason, that statement of his irritates her. "I know that it's not a walk in a park, but if it is possible for me to be a member, it's going to be like my one step closer in getting to know my family legacy."
Her grandfather and father were part of that same organization. If she does the same, it's going to make her feel like she is a full-pledge member of her family. She intends to do that despite the dangers of what is lurking around in the organization.
"You speak like it's something everyone should be proud of." What they do in the organization is not as nice as any other normal organization that most people know of. Even Aaron is not proud of what he does because the people that he targets are all bad people. Knowing what those bad people do is making him disgusted.
However, if he were to say one thing, then he would say that he is glad that he is able to eliminate those bad people from the face of that earth.
"Look, I know the bad things about the organization, but I want my father and grandfather to be proud of me if I achieve something great whilst being a member."
Hearing that, Aaron doesn't even know what to say. From his point of view, it seems to him that Nathalia doesn't know what she is talking about.
Her grandfather and father will be proud of her if she achieves something great in the organization? Sure, that is true. But Aaron also knows that being a part of the organization is not what they want to Nathalia.
He wants to say what is on his mind, but it will only upset Nathalia and she will only stubbornly do anything to be part of the organization. The only thing that he can do now is to watch her do what she has to do.

[The next day]
Aaron is coming along to visit Nathalia's grandmother in the hospital. For some reason, he is feeling nervous about meeting her. And the words that Crona said to him yesterday is ringing inside his head over and over again.
'Why can't she just tell me, so that I don't have to feel this way.' Aaron grumbled inwardly.
Crona who has been watching that change in Aaron's expression is smirking widely. Just as she expected, watching Aaron getting frustrated about her incomplete advice is very entertaining.
How she wishes for this to last longer.
"Aaron, you better keep your poker face on because if keep showing that expression, you will only make my husband be suspicious of you." She whispered to him.
Aaron wanted to glare at Crona, but that would be rude and that would also make Leonardo glared back at him. 'Seriously, sometimes aunt Crona acts like uncle Alfonso.'
Whenever Crona acts mischievously towards him, it only makes Aaron be reminded of Alfonso. Alfonso likes to tease him and his sister from time to time, and the only thing that he can say about it is that he is annoyed by him every time he does that.
"Aunt Crona, are you and uncle Alfonso best friends or some of the sorts?" He asked.
By that sudden question, it took Crona a few seconds to answer. "Well, you could say that, but nowadays we don't communicate like we always do back in the days. The only time that we communicate is when it's about the models in the agency." Now that she is saying this, she then realized that she and Alfonso never hang-out anymore like they used to. The only interaction they both have now is business.
Thinking about how sad their story is now is making Crona tear up. And that surprised Aaron. He didn't expect his question would affect her this much. As a matter of fact, that question wasn't even related to anything emotional.
Just as Leonardo appeared in front of them, Crona hugs her husband crying. Her action confused all the people around them.
Leonardo glance at Aaron and Aaron immediately defended himself. "I didn't do anything! She suddenly cried all her own." Aaron would like to avoid thinking about it, but right now he thinks that Nathalia's mother might have some screw loose in her head.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Fonso and I are hanging out anymore, and it's making me sad!" Crona said with a pout plaster on her face.
Bewildered by her sudden comment, Leonardo lets go of his wife, then he turned about to enter his mother's hospital room. He does not have the time to listen to his wife's claim, and especially, now is not the time for that drama of hers.
"He's not even gonna comfort me? How rude."
Aaron who's been watching from start to finish can't help but be speechless. The stoic and cold Leonardo Vendallin has a wife like her who acts like that. Some people like him might have some trouble believing that Leonardo fell in love with such a woman.
"Honestly speaking, Aunt Martha, did you used voodoo on uncle Leo?" It might be a rude question, but he can't help himself. He is just way too curious about how did Leonardo and Crona end up together.
"What kind of a stupid question is that? The only voodoo that I used is my face, body, and personality." She said in confidence, and Aaron realized that he did ask a stupid question. Such answer is enough to make one person be speechless.
"Forget it. I'll pretend that this conversation did not happen."
