Chapter 511 - Revenge 512: It's Going To Be A Long Day

"We already know who's behind my brother's death, then what are we still doing here?" Marcus asked. Base on the files that he read earlier, they can easily defeat Francis.

"Normally, yes. We could just raid his place and be done with it, but he produces the drugs that I invented. Those drugs are not just any normal drugs. It can enhance a person's physical abilities and senses." The organization has many skilled people like Mary and the others, but it is still risky. Greg thinks that they should play their game carefully instead of attacking their enemy like they always do.

"In the first place, why on earth did you come up with that kind of drug?" Marcus asked in an irritated tone. He may not say it, but everyone knows that he is against the idea of using any cheats to strengthen a person's abilities.

If a person wants to be stronger than what they are now, they have to work harder in order to achieve what they want. That is what he always says to his people.

With a slight nervousness lingering inside of him, Greg replied, "You know me, I like to test out new things. And when I thought of something new, I just have to make it or it won't go away from my mind."

It's like an illness for Greg, when he thought of something that he can invent or want to invent, it stays in his mind until he is done making it. It's one of the main reasons why he can't have a good relationship with anyone. 

He is way too busy with his projects to the point she doesn't have time to find himself a special someone. And even if he does find one, he will most likely neglect them.

"I don't remember approving of that project of yours, especially the drug." Whenever there is a project Greg is working on, it has to be approved by Marcus, and once it is approved, they have to discuss on much it will cost them.

As far as Marcus' remember, he never approved either of those projects.

"Oh, you don't have to think that I stole money from the organization's budget, because I did no such thing. I used my own money for those projects." After finding out that all of his hard work was burned down years ago, he was depressed and it took him months to get over it.

All of his efforts and money that he poured on that were all gone out of the blue. Back then he didn't know who put the fire and nobody was able to find out, so he has no idea where he should direct his anger at, but now it's different. He knows who did it and he's going to give them hell for doing it.

"No wonder you were saying you wanted to die at that time. Not only did you lost your data and blueprints, but you also lost a lot of money from it." Nathaniel is not even sure if he should say comforting words to Greg now, but he chose to speak his mind, which is not helping Greg feel any better.

"Wow. Thank you for pointing that out, Nathaniel." Greg and Nathaniel are not close to each other, but they do respect one another. But sometimes, they do get on each other's nerves because of their contradicting opinions.

"Is the drugs and the microch.i.p.s that he invented is the only thing we're going talk about today? Because if we are, then we're done talking now. I have some other business to attend to." Leonardo canceled most of his appointments today, and if Greg's invention is the only thing they're going to talk about today, then he will have time to go to the appointments he didn't cancel.

"No. We're going to talk about a lot of stuff regarding our current problem, Leo. It would be best if you cancel all your appointments today because it's going to be a long day." Mary replied.

Talking about Greg's invention is only the beginning of this day's sudden meeting. Francis Glore may not be as smart as she thought he was, but he has something that can beat them if they don't play their game carefully.

Mary gathered the old and the current generation of the organization because she wants to hear all of their opinions. Many heads are better than one, after all.

With a sigh, Leonardo took out his phone and send a message to his secretary. For the first time in forever, Leonardo felt like he would rather work than to stay in the same room with his father. Being in close proximity to his father is making him feel suffocated.

'I can't believe this is happening.' He inwardly said.

"Young Miss, please calm down..." Veronica's personal maid nervously said to her.

Ever since her Young Miss saw something on the phone, her Young Miss suddenly started to scream and throwing things everywhere, it can even be directed to her.

She has no idea why her Young Miss is acting this way, but the Master of the manor came back and saw his daughter acting like a lunatic, he will be enraged. And when the Master of the manor is angry, it won't do any of the servants any good.

"Calm down? You're telling me to calm down?! How dare you tell me what to do!" Veronica angry reach out to the nearest item next to her and she threw it at her maid. Luckily for the maid, Veronica missed it. "How can I calm down when the leech is sticking to Kyle as she knows him better than I do?!"

While she was browsing at her phone earlier, she saw a newly released article on her feed. She doesn't even need to read the whole thing because the title says it all. Anna and Kyle are seen together again, and everyone who reads the article is all excited about it.

It enrages Veronica that everyone is siding with the closeness between Anna and Kyle.

It should have been her and Kyle that they should be talking about. Veronica wants to show off that she knows Kyle better than Anna, but how can she do that when Anna is always around?

The maid can't believe that the reason why her Young Miss is throwing a tantrum is because of a guy. But then again, most of Veronica's actions are all about that guy. She should have been used to it by now, but this anger is a whole new thing for her.

"T-Then, how about you go and show off that you know him better. That way you can have Young Master Kyle to yourself and humiliate that girl in one stone." The maid is not sure if what she said is a good idea or not, but if saying this is going to make Veronica calm down, then she is taking the risk.

Veronica stopped her movements. She is considering doing that, but a part of her doesn't want to. "Why should I do that when there is a possibility that I'll get humiliated again?"

She has been humiliated by the same person twice, and it's going to make her insane is Anna humiliates for the third time. Her so-called friends are already laughing behind her back because of what happened days ago. And she doesn't want to be a laughing stock by the public if she goes out now and gets humiliated by Anna.

"Why on earth are you thinking about that, Young Miss? Besides, as you said, you know Kyle better than her, that would also mean that Kyle will side with you since he knows you better too?" From the words she is hearing around the manor, Kyle and Veronica were childhood friends and that they were inseparable back then.

Since that was the case, then it won't be a problem for her Young Miss to have Kyle side with her.

Veronica greeted her teeth. She refuses to tell the truth to her maid. so she said "That leech is a tricky one! Okay?! I need more helpful advice than that!" 

She hates to admit it, but Kyle is not the guy she used to know. Even if they were close back when they were still little, Kyle won't side with her this time. Anna has taken all of Kyle's attention away from her.

The maid is left speechless. What else can she say to her Young Miss? Nothing. She can't say anything else to her. In these kinds of situations, she is not good at giving advises and she prefers not to get involved at all.

Since her maid is not saying a word to her, Veronica got annoyed and said, "Get out of my room! I need some time alone for myself!"

As soon as the maid heard that, she left in a hurry. Afraid that Veronica will throw things at her again.

'I have to think of something fast before Kyle really does fall for her deeply! I can't win him back if that happens.' Veronica inwardly said.
