Chapter 515 - Revenge 516: I'm Not Like You

Name:REBORN: Revenge Author:C_J_Taganna
"Excuse you?! I heard that! Aaron, you don't have any idea how angry I am today, so please, don't make me even angrier than I am right now."

"I don't care if you're angry or not. All I care about is that my sister to leave my room if she's going to talk to you!" As Aaron is saying that, he glared at Anna. He can't believe that his sister is torturing him like this.

'How come she's home already? I thought that she's with Kyle for the whole rest of the day?' Aaron inwardly asked. With Lucia and Ophius are out of this place, he thought that no one will bother him anymore. But to believe that his sister thinks the opposite of what he wants, his alone time has been ruined.

"Brother, just let me stay here." She said with a smile plastered on her face. "Besides, I overheard that our mother will be looking for us both later. So I might as well stick to you so that they don't have to for us separately."

"From whom did you ever hear that?" Aaron asked.

"Grandfather was talking over the phone, and I overheard him talking. So yeah, that's how I know." On her way to her room, Anna heard her grandfather talking. She wasn't the type to eavesdrop on people's conversation, but when she heard hers and her brother's name, she became curious. However, she didn't get the full details of why their names were being mentioned.

Aaron simply stared at his sister and did not say a word. Though it sounded like a made-up story, there is part of him that believes that it's true. The reason for him not to accept it right away is because they did a mission recently, and that mission didn't exactly go as they had planned. If their mother is searching them both at the same, it's highly likely that she will assign them for a new mission.

'I'm willing to do it, but it way too soon for another one. That's not how my mother works.' He inwardly said. Somehow he has a bad feeling about this.

"Hey, you two. You haven't forgotten about me, right?" While the two Colemans were talking, Lannie is still on the line listening to their conversation. Being ignored while she's venting out is not exactly what she had in mind.

"Oh, Lannie. We forgot that you're still there." Aaron commented as if it's nothing, and Lannie interpreted it that he is making fun of her.

"Sorry about that, Lannie. I was just explaining to my brother why I'm invading his room." Anna sincerely apologized. "Now, let's go back to our original topic. You were angry at Veronica, right? What did she do this time?"

After a few minutes of telling Anna everything that had happened, Lannie felt great. She got everything out of her chest. "That's what happened. Now, will you please go and teach that shameless girl a lesson?"

Lannie would like to do it herself, but her mother and father strictly told her that she is not allowed to anything to Veronica. 'It's not like I'm gonna kill her, why am I not allowed to at least reveal one of her dirty secrets? Urgh.'

"Lannie, I wouldn't do that, and even if I wanted to, I still wouldn't do it. I'm not gonna waste my time on such childish pranks." Anna sighed at the request Lannie is saying to her.

It's clear to her that Veronica has problems, and dealing with her will only cause headaches. Though, she knows that she should not lower her guard when it comes to that person. Who knows what she's capable of.

"Are you being serious, Anna? Like really serious?"

"Yes. Anna is serious, Lannie. Besides, my sister is already busy as it is. Family problems, you know?" Aaron has little knowledge about Veronica Lace, but he can tell from Lannie's tone that Veronica is terrible news. But he knows that his sister can handle that kind of woman. "If you really teach her a lesson, then you should ask someone else."

Lannie was silent for a minute, then unexpectedly said, "You're right, Aaron! I could ask Nathalia! Thank you!" As soon as she finished saying that, she ended the call.

"Hey, wait!" Aaron grabbed the phone, but it was already too late. "I can't believe that she's going to ask Nathalia instead! What is she thinking?!"

"Well, you did say that he should find someone else, and apparently she thought of your beloved."

"Why does it have to be her? I'm sure she knows a lot of people in her social circle?"

"Don't be stupid, brother. It's not Lannie will make an outrageous request, and if she does, Nathalia knows how to make things go smoothly so that it won't lead to her." Her brother should really put more trust in how capable Nathalia can be.

"Anna, if Kyle were in my shoes, he will have the same reaction as me."

Anna shakes her head, then she said, "Brother, you don't know Kyle. If he were in your shoes, he wouldn't be acting the same way. He believes in my skill, and if he thinks that I can't do it, he will tell me. Besides, this Veronica matter is not even that hard to deal with, I just want to waste my time on her."

Aaron is not able to say something back. He can't believe that his sister is giving Kyle too much credit. They haven't been together for a long time, and yet they both have such deep trust toward each other.

Somehow is worries him. If one day, something terrible were to happen, it could deeply hurt them, and it might take a while for them to recover from the pain. 'Ugh. Why am I even bothering myself to worry about them?'

"I hate you both." He said.

"Master, Mistress, the Elder Master is calling for you both in the back balcony." The butler said as soon as Arion and Mary entered the manor.

"Right now? I still have to talk to the twins. Can Arion go there by himself?"

"I was specifically told by the Elder Master that you must go together, and I have no idea why he's calling you both." With no other choice, Mary and Arion went on their way to where Marcus is.

The moment they reached their destination, a relaxing breeze greeted them. There, both Mary and Arion saw Marcus casually sitting while looking up at the night sky. The sight of him can make some people misunderstand. They might think that Marcus is a lonely man who's waiting for his time to say goodbye to the world.

"Father, you called us? If this is about what Mary said earlier-"

"Yes. It is about what Mary said earlier, Arion. And I opposed such a plan." Marcus was present when the meeting from earlier was happening. He wasn't able to say what was on his mind earlier because he was thinking about many things about every possibility that might occur. He can't come up with any kind of situation that could have a positive turn.

"Father, it has already been decided earlier, and we can't change anything. Everything that we need has already been prepared. We can't back out now because you don't want it to happen." Mary understands why her father-in-law opposes the plan, but there is nothing she can do now. Just like she said before the meeting ended, everything is already set in stone.

"You two are the twins' parents, how can the two of you come up with this idea?" Marcus angrily asked. Since the twins' birth, Marcus saw how much love Mary and Arion have for their children. He doesn't understand how they can be okay with the plan they made.

Arion stared back at Marcus. After a few seconds, he finally spoke, "Father, don't act like you're one compassionate father to either me or to that so-called brother of mine."

"What?"

"Don't get me wrong, you did try your best, but after Mother died, you stopped trying. You were more focused on your work and everything else that you didn't even notice that the conflict inside our family is already happening. That James was already drifting away from us."

Marcus did notice, but when he did, it was already all too late. The gap between the two brothers is already too wide for him to fix right away. When Marcus learned that James has betrayed the family, he regretted everything, and Arion finds that very funny.

"Sure, I wasn't the best father. I left the twins when they were very young, but I'm not like you. I at least know where I did wrong from the beginning. As soon as I came back, I tried to fix things right away, but you, father, you didn't."

Marcus did take notice of the discord inside their family, but he didn't try to be the father both brothers wanted him to be, and that really made both James and Arion disappointed at him.
