Chapter 532 - Revenge 533: His Soft Side

"Why is it so hard for you to share?" Kyle hardened himself. He is not gonna give in to Anna until she says her reasonable explanation. If he keeps being the one giving in to her, they will not go anywhere in this relationship. "You keep saying that you're the one at fault, but why do I feel like I am the one who is wrong here?"

"Please, don't say that. I, I'm a coward." Kyle has been patient with her all this time, and every time Anna remembers that, she feels incredibly guilty. Afraid that this conversation might turn into a bad ending, she opens her mouth and tells her whole story.

While Anna and Kyle are at the cafe, Nathalia and the others are currently at the place where they usually go to train, and this time, Lannie is with them. "This is place is amazing. I was wondering where you guys always go after school, but to think all of you go here to train is amazing."

Being at school and listening to their boring teacher, Lannie would find it very tiring to do anything after school. She would rather stay and her bed and relax. If Anna and the others are always at this place, they must have a lot of energy saved.

"Amazing is just the positive side of this place." Zen sighed.

"What's that supposed to mean? And here I thought that out of all of you, you'd be the one overly excited to train." From what Lannie heard, Zen likes to hone his skills, and that whenever he has free time, he would always use it to train. But from what she sees now, it seems like what she heard from Anna and Nathalia is wrong information.

"Normally, I would. But in this place, it can really take all your excitement away once you experience your first of training here." Zen envy that Lannie is only here to watch them train. It is not like he is done with training. He still likes to continue honing his skills. The only problem is that the person who teaches them every day is either his father or one of his father's friends.

'They are not exactly the best teachers in the world, especially my father.'

"The first day of training is not as bad as what we are doing now. I can assure you that Zen is only exaggerating." Nathalia said.

Nathalia can understand why Zen is negative. She, too, is having a hard time dealing with their current training. As the days of their training continues, it has been increasing every time. It gets harder and harder, and even a point where she said to herself that she had enough of it.

From the beginning, her father has already given her a choice. She can quit anytime she wants, and it is allowed that she can only focus on her technical skills. But she didn't accept what her father was offering, and she never will in the future.

"How about you, Josh?" Lannie might never understand the physical pain they are enduring, but she would like to hear everyone's thoughts about their training. Josh is the perfect person to ask. Despite being a man of few words, his answers are always clear, and she understands it right away.

"Training is training, I've got nothing to complain, and even I have something to complain about, I have no right say it." The people who are training them are taking time off from their work to help them hone their skills. Josh is, in fact, grateful for everything they have to them.

The training might be hard and painful, but it will be worth it at the end of the day. 'Zen is such a baby.' He inwardly commented.

Lannie slightly pouted. That is not exactly the answer she wanted to hear from him, but what can she do? Josh has always been like this. "Do you talk to your girlfriend like that, Josh?"

Ever since Lannie heard that Josh is dating someone, she wondered how Josh interacts with that person. 'Does he also talks the same way towards his girlfriend?'

"No. I talk sweet nothings to her, and I give her all the love she wants from me."

Everyone who heard Josh got goosebumps. What is worse is that the smile he showed when he said those words. It was so shocking and unexpected to hear such words from Josh.

This man is not the same Josh they have known. If Josh has a twin sibling, they would most likely be not shocked, but it is Josh.

Josh noticed the way his friends are looking at him. He asks, "What? Is it that weird of me to say that?" From the way he sees it, there is nothing wrong with telling the whole truth about how he treats his girlfriend. In fact, he thinks of himself as the almost perfect boyfriend in the world.

'I am quite proud of myself.'

"No. There is nothing wrong with it. It's just that we are not used to seeing you like this, especially when we have yet to meet this mysterious girlfriend of yours." Nathalia knows that Josh's mysterious girlfriend is pretty, but she wants to meet her. She wants to personally talk to that girl to understand why Josh is different when he is talking about that mysterious girlfriend.

"You will meet her soon enough, and I'm telling you now, she is the only one for me."

At the statement from Josh, Zen's fuse blew up. "Enough! Enough!" He shouted, then held both of Josh's shoulders, "I can't stand seeing you like this. You being soft when talking about someone is creeping me out! I want my cold and heartless Josh back!"

After saying all those words, Zen pants, he felt like everything he is holding off is now released at that moment. But he is still crept out at Josh's soft side.

"Come one, Zen. Don't be like that. I know that you are not comfortable seeing this side of Josh but think of it positively. It's quite refreshing, you know?" Somehow Lannie is feeling excited hearing all that from Josh. She never knew that a person like Josh could be so soft when it comes to their partner.

Lannie then suddenly remember Erik's face. She feels dejected immediately. 'Erik can be like that, but it can never be with me. This one-sided love is so sad.'

She is currently trying to get over Erik. The more she realized that Erik will never look into her way, the more she thinks it would be best to forget about feelings and focus more on her future. 'I can't waste my time thinking about him! I need to more about myself!'

"When he is like this, it is better to just ignore him. He is just jealous that I got me a girl before him." Josh smirked at Zen. Some years ago, Zen declared to him that he would be the first to have a girlfriend between them. Thinking about Zen's declaration and his relationship now, JOsh can only laugh. "What happened, Zen? I thought you'd be the first one." He said in a provoking manner.

"Shut up. I have not yet found the right one, that's all." Zen is not going to let Josh's provocation win. He will not let Josh win this round. 'He's annoying now.'

"Making excuses now, eh? Why don't you just say that you can't make any girls look at your way." This what he just said is not true. Josh knows that many girls have a crush on Zen. The only problem is that Zen doesn't look in their way.

The real reason why Zen is not yet in a relationship is that he is more concerned about his training than looking for a girl.

"Why you-"

"Now, now, boys. This is not the time for you two to get on each other's neck. Uncle Zack is coming this way, and he is with Leon." Nathalia knows that Leon has a choice not to come here, but for some reason, Leon took a liking to make them suffer during training. In addition to their painful training, Leon makes things worse for them.

"Son, look at this girl. She looked a lot like your mother when she was younger." A bright smile plastered on Zack's face, but Zen's face is the opposite of his father's.

'Oh, no. Leon, that bastard! I can't believe him!'

Zen tries to make himself calm as his father goes near him, then showed him the picture. He already prepared himself to see it, but no matter how many times he sees that picture, it still horrifies him.

"Are you sure that is what Mom looked like when she was younger?" Zen carefully asked.

"I'm sure. I pestered your mother to show me her young self." Just by hearing that, Zen felt like his world is now at the edge of collapsing. If his father says that, then it won't be long that his secret, that dreadful day, will be revealed to everyone, and the one who causes it would be Leon.
