Chapter 536 - Revenge 357: His Mistake

Name:REBORN: Revenge Author:C_J_Taganna
"What?! How could you say that to me!"

"If you didn't say such a nonsense claim, then I wouldn't be mean to you." Even though he is deep in his thoughts, Kyle is still aware of his surroundings.

"Did your date with Anna yesterday ended badly? Is that why you're like this, brother?" Lannie asked.

"At first, we had a bit of an argument, but we came into an understanding."

"Then why are you acting like this? If it's not about Anna, then it must be related to the project your father wants you to work on?" Erik said. Though what he said may sound unreal since Kyle has never had any trouble finishing any task thrown at him, there is no other reason he could think of other than something related to Anna.

"Both of you are right. It's about Anna. But it's not something I can share with you two so easily." Kyle has no problem telling what he knows to Erik and Lannie, but this is a matter that he cannot share so easily.

Anna had a hard time telling him this big secret. If he shares this secret with other people like it was nothing, Anna will get angry. He does not want that to happen. If Anna truly wanted other people to know about this secret, she will tell them about it herself.

"I see. Does Aaron know about this secret of yours?" Lannie curiously asked. She honestly does not want to pry into Anna's business, but it got her curious because her brother is acting.

Knowing that Anna and Aaron practically tell each other about almost everything, then Lannie has a chance to have an idea what her brother is talking about. Only a bit of information will suffice, and she will stop trying to find out this "secret."

"No. Aaron has no idea, and I don't think Anna will tell him about it any time soon." Hearing that, Lannie is surprised. Kyle understood why Lannie is surprised. He was also surprised when he found out that Aaron has no idea about the big secret that Anna is hiding.

He might be Anna's special someone, but Kyle knows that he could never defeat Aaron. Anna will always side with her brother. That is how strong their bond is.

Although he was surprised, in some ways, he is happy that he is the first one to know. That is the first time that Anna chooses him before Aaron.

"It must be serious then." Lannie ponders, then she continued, "You said that you and Anna ended a good term on your date yesterday, then why are you like this?" Her brother should be looking happy and might even brag about his relationship with Erik, but he is not doing any of those two. He makes it seem like it such a big problem.

"I'm thinking of ways to make Anna feel better. To make her focus on what is currently going on now than her focusing on what happened in the past." Anna revealed to him that it was such a relief that she told him everything yesterday. However, Kyle noticed that Anna still worries about the events in her past life.

She keeps looking back, basing everything that happened back then on what she is doing now. So far, she is doing a good job avoiding those events from back then, but Kyle fears that one day if Anna keeps doing what she is doing, it might turn out way worse than what originally happened.

"Inner struggle, huh. You know, Kyle, it's nice that you want to help her. But in this type of problem, the only one who can help her move on is herself. I'm sure Anna knows that, but she keeps denying it because she doesn't want to face it." It is hard for Erik to believe that Anna has such a struggle within her.

From what he knows, Anna grew up in a strict family, yet it is full of love at the same time. The a.d.u.l.ts who are beside her are guiding her well. Learning that she is having such a conflict within herself is a surprise to him.

'I already know this, but Anna sure has a lot of secrets.' Erik inwardly said.

Back to where Anna and Aaron are, they both have regained their senses from the shock. The twin's bodies are in alert and have a lot of question that needs answers because of this person in front of them.

Noticing their alertness towards him, he spoke. "Come on. You two don't have to treat me like I'm some dangerous person! I can promise you that I'm the nicest person in the whole Ricci family member."

The twins ignored what he said, and they glared at Leon.

"What is the meaning of this, Leon? Are you trying to get all of us into trouble?!" Aaron angrily asked. Whether this person is the nicest of them all or not, it does not matter. Any member of the Ricci family, Aaron considers them as his enemy.

'They are a group of people who made my mother suffer!'

"Leon, I understand that your reason in everything that you do, but this! This is beyond extreme. How are you going to explain this to my father? To my mother? Goodness. I don't even know what else to say to you." Anna is in distress. The Ricci family's matter is crucial, yet Leon is doing this secretly, and to make matters worse, he got her and her brother involved.

"Wow. You two hate the Ricci family. Huh. I mean, I don't blame you. I hate them too, even though I'm part of that cursed family." The twins are both in distress and furious at the situation, yet this person is talking as if there is nothing wrong.

'Just how carefree is this guy is.' The twins inwardly said.

"Look, I know that this is infuriating for you two, but you need to hear this annoying guy has to say first, then we discuss what we will do after." As Anna said, Leon always has a reason for everything he does, but this time, it's different. He has no explanation. Leon only wants the twins to learn what he learns from that person.

"Annoying? That is so mean of you, Erik. You haven't properly introduced me to them yet, and now you're making me look like the type of person who would waste their time." He acted as if Leon's word hurts him, but Leon and the twins are not buying it.

In Leon's view, everything that he does is annoying. As for the twins, everything that he does is suspicious. If they see him make one wrong move, they will have to put him down.

"I tried to introduce you earlier to them, but you interrupted me," Leon said in an annoyed tone.

"Is that so? Then you should introduce me now and make my image look good, okay? I don't want my cousins to think bad of me."

'Learning that you're part of the Ricci family already made me and my brother look at you very badly.' Anna inwardly said. She can already tell that this man is a hassle to handle.

"This guy's name is Keith, Keith Mulgrew. A runaway member of the Ricci family. The reason? Well, he will tell you guys himself."

~~~
"Where is Keith? Have you found him yet?!" An older man shouted at his subordinates.
"Master, we have not yet found him." One of his subordinates trembled in fear. His master is already upset that Keith had run away from the family, and now that they have not yet track Keith down, it will surely make his master angrier.
"Are you people so incompetent that you're not able to find one single person?!" Ever since Keith walked out of the manor, he has been feeling unease. Keith knows way too much about their family's secret. It would be bad for him if Keith shares the secrets he has been keeping for years with other people.
He sacrificed way too much already to get to the point that he is now. He is not about to let a spoiled brat like Keith ruin everything he worked hard for.
"Master, we tracked him down at the last place he has been, and he was talking to a young man. We couldn't identify that young man, and after they left the place, it seems like all of their traces disappeared." They tried to track Keith again and try to identify the unknown young man, but all their efforts were wasted. It's almost like they never existed.
The old man flinched when he heard that Keith was talking to someone. What he had feared has finally come.
"Ah, Father. I told you before. You should have killed Keith along with his mother. Now, look at the result of the mistake you made." Hearing that voice behind him, the old man glanced at his son and glared at him. "Keith may look like he is naive and just an ordinary spoiled brat, but he is cunning like any member of this family."
"I realized that now. I don't need for you to remind me that."
