“You lost them?”

Bai Hao was on his way back to his room, and he got a call from his subordinate saying that they lost track of the enemy who had attacked Pei Siyan this afternoon.

“My apologies, Mr. Bai. We spent a lot of effort to find them yet we still lost them.”

His subordinate kept apologizing, and he felt guilty for the whole thing.

“What about Mr. Pei? He would bawl at you when he knew we lost the enemy.” The subordinate added for he was worried about Bai Hao.

“I haven’t told him that yet, so there’s no need to panic.”

Plus, even if he doesn’t tell Pei Siyan that, he knew the enemy was from the Prime Family. He was just unclear about who was the one sent to them.

“Did you see who that is from the Prime family?” Bai Hao asked as he opened his door.

“He was not from the Prime family.”

“Not from the Prime family?”

Bai Hao’s eyebrows clenched together at once, and that ominous feeling he had had this afternoon became strong again.

Just as he reached to turn on the light, a big hand in the dark covered his mouth and controlled his body.

Bai Hao’s pupils contracted immediately. He used his strength to push the guy away, and it did work for a bit, but soon after, his hands were pushed back by even a greater strength.

“Bai Hao? Are you okay there? Why did you stop talking all of a sudden?” His subordinate asked anxiously on the phone.

Bai Hao wanted to talk, but he couldn’t. The guy who had covered his mouth hung up the call selfishly and crushed his cellphone with a bare hand.

“Oh well, Bai Hao, did you send someone after me? Did you really miss me, your husband that much? Huh?”

By the side of Bai Hao’s hear was the guy’s chuckle, which swallowed all the senses of Bai Hao instantly. His eyes were opened wide in fear.

He struggled as hard as he could and wrestled against the guy, trying to escape. His heart was pounding like crazy, but no matter how he struggled and feared, the guy never let loose of him. Bai Hao’s face went pale in terror.

“What’s with all these fierce reactions every single time? I remember I’ve said it before. I’ll do nothing if you behave well. And if you don’t, the consequences would be overwhelming. Remember? My little Bai Hao?”

That strange chuckle echoed once again by Bai Hao’s ears. But this time, he was no longer terrified; instead, he kicked the man away while he was unguarded. He then stared at the man’s direction and clenched his fists. His eyes were burning in rage as if he wanted to swallow that man alive.

“That is pretty passionate of you to do that, which even makes me a bit shy.” His voice was full of sneers as if that kick did absolutely no harm to him.

“Hei Ming, why the f**k are you here? How did you get in?”

Bai Hao roared at him; his look was murderous and every piece of glass in his room was shattered by his rage.

“Oh well! You got angry again! I didn’t do anything to you this time, so why do you have to be so furious?”

Hei Ming walked out from the cracked wall while licking the blood off from his lips and smiling viciously at Bai Hao.

Bai Hao’s eyes popped out the moment he heard what Hei Ming had just said. He clenched fists as if he was trying to endure something. His lips were compressed together and shaking; even his eyes were red.

“Normally, you would rush right over here and punch me. What? Are you trying to act nice tonight?”

With a blink of an eye, Hei Ming was already standing right in front of Bai Hao, with that evil smile still on his face.

Bai Hao’s legs were shivering; he stepped back in panic and tried to escape.

But Hei Ming had already guessed out his intention. He was a step faster than Bai Hao and showed up at the doorway, blocking both the door and exit. He then gave Bai Hao a kick so hard that Bai Hao’s body flew right through the wall. Blood kept coming out from Bai Hao’s mouth; he pushed himself up from the ground while coughing nonstop, but still couldn’t stand up. Parts of his bones probably cracked already.
