Chapter 47

Downstairs, Pei Lele and Fan Xiao were having late night snacks. They looked at the doorway of the dining room with surprise written all over their faces as if they just saw the most unbelievable thing in the world.

Because Pei Siyan was now carrying Jiang Sheng in his arms while walking toward them without saying anything. He put Jiang Sheng down across them and commanded one of the servants, “Cook me a bowl of lean meat porridge.”

“Yes sir, just a moment.” The servant then rushed to the kitchen and passed the order to the chef.

“God damn it. What is he even mad about?”

Jiang Sheng mumbled; his face looks pretty upset since he should be the one who was having a fit for that he was seen as a replacement of a dead man.

At the same time, Fan Xiao was clenching fists and looking rather unpleasant. He came downstairs to have late night snacks with Pei Lele because he heard Pei Siyan had returned, but he never expected to see this.

‘Damn it! I should have murdered this prick during this week before Pei Siyan came back! Now Pei Siyan is growing on him!’

As for Pei Lele, she kicked Jiang Sheng under the dining table and passed him her confusion with wide opened eyes, ‘What is happening now? Why would my brother carry you downstairs for the late night snacks?’

Jiang Sheng was rather speechless, “You can just open your mouth and ask him yourself if you are curious about it. Why are you kicking me?”

Having her intention spoken out by Jiang Sheng, Pei Lele got nervous and sat straight immediately, pretending Jiang Sheng was not talking to her.

And then she gave Jiang Sheng a middle finger at the place where Pei Siyan couldn’t see. She also learned that from Jiang Sheng.

“What? Are you having enough of your legs that you want them to leave you?”

Pei Siyan looked at Pei Lele with danger in his eyes.

‘What? Wait wait wait! How did he know it was me?’

“Haha! Well, I actually do love my legs. I’m not having enough of them.” Pei Lele strokes her head and puts on an awkward smile because Pei Siyan might really break her legs if she didn’t do so.

‘That was horrifying! What’s the deal now? Did my brother really fall in love with this boy? Then what about Lan Yuan? No way, I have to stop them from being together.’

“So you do have someone you are afraid of! Good to know!” Jiang Sheng put on an evil smile all of a sudden.

Pei Lele had given him a hard time for the last week, and now it is time for him to fight back.

“Haha, of course… of course I do!”

Pei Lele smiled at him unwillingly but still managed to stare at Jiang Sheng when Pei Siyan was not paying attention; she then asked Jiang Sheng with her eyes, ‘What exactly do you want to do?’

Jiang Sheng saw her glare but still ignored her. He complained to Pei Siyan with his puppy eyes, “Your sister even starved me for a day! She also asked me to rub her feet and give her leg a massage! You have to be the judge of this!” He was clearly acting as pitiful as he could.

“What? Since when did I starve you for a day? And what’s with that foot massage? I never did that!”

Pei Lele objected immediately and her voice was quite loud since she was getting too emotional.

Because none of those were real! The only thing she did was locking Jiang Sheng in his room.

“Look at her! She’s always that mean and evil to me!”

Jiang Sheng started to act pitiful again for he had fun teasing Pei Lele.

“Siyan! Please don’t fall for that! I never did any of that! Ever!” Pei Lele explained in a panic; she looked like she was about to burst into tears.

Pei Siyan didn’t respond or look at them. He just looked down at his phone and checked on his working progress. Just as Jiang Sheng was happy with her reaction inwardly, Pei Siyan said, “Then you should let me see how you massaged her legs. Maybe out of mercy, I will hang both of you and beat you up together.”

Pei Lele and Jiang Sheng stop arguing immediately and sat straight once they heard what Pei Siyan just had said.

Pei Lele, “Haha! Well, the weather is fine tonight, right?”

Jiang Sheng, “Absolutely, a great day for moon watching indeed.”

Two of them changed the topic peacefully so that they wouldn’t get beaten up by Pei Siyan. They then both let out a sigh of relief tacitly and commented secretly, ‘That was horrifying!’
