4 Secret Lover

Meanwhile at the Hua corporation.

Stepping out of his car which was parked directly in front of the main doors, Jian Man immediately attracted the attention of the employees inside the building. The security hurriedly opening the glass doors for him as various woman fix their hair and look on their phones to check their face, even a man or two making sure their appearance was at it's best.

Being a sharp person Jian Man would obviously notice their actions, which quite honestly caused him a headache often. Despite showing obvious disinterest and even making a verbal declaration, people of high standing still continuously tried to flirt or send their daughters to him. While the public strongly believed he either had a secret lover or liked men rather than woman, yet even these rumors never managed dissuade them from trying to get close to him or flirt with him.

He didn't have anyone he was interested in or really found particularly attractive and didn't see the need to get into messy situations or pointless relationships just for the sake of it. Thinking of this made him think back to the young woman he saw at the restaurant.

She was the first he had taken an interest in even if only for a moment, it wasn't her looks, although she was quite stunning, but he had met countless people, some even more beautiful and others on equal standing yet he didn't even look at them. It was something about her that drew him in and intrigued him. Although she was the first to get his attention she was just a stranger and there's no need to think so much about someone he only ever saw once is unlikely to ever see again.

With long steady steps he made his way to the elevator, trying to ignore everyone around him to avoid unnecessary conversations and greetings, preferring to keep it strictly business.

The meeting room was the usual standard meeting room at a big company, large table in the center surrounded by chairs, a projector and screen to one end, with small things placed here and there around the room to make the room seem less empty and more welcoming.

"Welcome to Hua corporation, it is a pleasure to meet you. Master Hua is waiting for you in meeting room 1" a man in his thirties politely welcomed him once he reached the correct floor. The man then walked ahead, leading the way to the meeting room.

"Mr Jian, its a pleasure!" Master Hua called out heartily.

Master Hua was a man now in his early sixties and still working. The Hua family as a whole could actually be considered one of the rare few family's in higher society that treat everyone equally regardless of social standing and profession. He has three sons and two twin daughters. The sons taking on the same qualities as their father.

The twins however, one of them is a quiet yet sincere and loyal person while the other daughter...Both of them were treated in the same doting manner but only one of them became haughty and spoiled, continuously causing trouble for her father and brothers to clean up.

"The pleasure is mine Mr Hua" Jian Man said indifferently but in an unusually polite way. Respect shouldn't be given to someone just because they were born with a title or they have money but to those who actually deserve it regardless of social standing and wealth. The way the majority of the Hua family conduct themselves around others and run their business had earned a little respect from Jian Man.

Placing the files on the table both men immediately became absorbed in their work as they went over the contract and each others offers. The discussed possible problems and how to solve them, ways to maximize profits, how to effectively get attention from the public and various other details concerning their new project.

They argued, fought, discussed and corrected each other. Despite what others may think it's not always sign this and sign that and the project is a done deal, sometimes even as the owner of the company they have to spend hours discussing a single project, the slightest mistake or smallest detail overlooked in their line of work could lose millions. These tiny details could even decide whether a company thrives and flourishes or goes bankrupt.

It took a few hours but they finally came to terms both parties could agree to and had settled the main details.

"The new contract will be typed up by my assistant and faxed to your office later today, my team will also be sent to work over the rest with yours at your company, and again it was a pleasure to work with you, I can see why everyone has such high expectations and opinions of you Mr Jian" Mr Hua said with a slight smile.

Simply nodding Jian Man made his way to the elevator and then to his car once again trying to ignore everyone around him. Finally in the car he turned to his personal assistant, waiting for him to realize and remember what he asked.

Cao Chuan, his personal assistant finally got the hint and smiled sheepishly at him before fidgeting in his seat.

"About that young master... there was no more left in the store ,sorry"

Sighing he simply drove off to his next meeting with one of the most annoying people he has ever met-one of his closest friends-Le Sheng, but not without making a quick stop at a small cafe and motioning for his assistant to get out.

Following his Boss' order he got out knowing exacly what he wanted. Cao Chuan walked into the small cafe and chose some lunch items from the shelf before paying and walking back to the car.

As soon as he sat down he noticed his boss had already taken the small bag with food anddrink. They usually didn't have time to make any proper meals to eat so buying food from various places and going to the occasional restaurant became common for them.
