Chapter 34 - Visiting home ...

The project completed today, it was a really good experience.

I tried to have as minimum contact with Alok as possible, so that I won't have to be all pitiful about his miserable life.

I will be leaving here today with Kartik, and there's this thing that I haven't seen Mr. Arrogant Kulkarni for the full day.

It's not like I'm complaining or I wanna see him, it's just that it's sort of different from his usual annoying self. Gyah Man!!.! Whatever...

There was a knock on my door, I turned from my mirror to look at who it was.

"Hey Piya, I hope I'm not disturbing you or something", Kartik said with a little politeness and a little blush on his chicks, which I guess he was trying to hide.

"Um no, not at all come in", I said and gave him space to come inside, after he came I locked the door.

He seemed a bit unsettled , as I carefully observed him. He was shifting from one foot to another, and was looking at everywhere but at me...

After waiting for about five minutes , I couldn't take it anymore...

"Uh-huh, well will you think it's weird if I asked you that I wanna come with you to your parents house? ", he said slowly like it was the hardest question of the day.

But it caught me off-guard, I don't know why would he want to come with me. There's no reason for him to tag along, is there?

"Why do you want to come, I mean look I don't mind you coming with me. But why do you want to come? I can't understand that. ", I said a bit confused.

"Well ,I want to know the parents of a girl whom I love the most ", he said it in a hurry ,after which he made the face like 'oops I spilled the beans'. Which was really hilarious, even though I couldn't laugh.

After what happened in my past life and knowing about Alok's past, now I kinda don't want to be in this love thing. It's creeping me out to even think about 'Love'.

I don't I'll be able to fall in love with someone yet again...

"Sorry um I didn't mean it like that, it's actually that I'm also on vacation for this next week like you. And I don't want to visit my home, so I wanted to ask you if I could tag along. I won't do anything improper or even let them know that I like you. So please can I come with you as a friend? ", he said with that puppy dog eyes and a 'Please say yes to my request' , kind of smile.

I think he knows that his puppy dog eyes works on me, he seems to do that a lot nowadays..

"Well OK I won't mind you coming with me ", I said reluctantly.

"Yeah you want something? ", I asked coming out of my trans and trying to break the uncomfortable silence.

"Uh-huh, no I mean yeah , I want to talk to you about something alone", he said in a tone which showed that whatever he was saying it was important and I must obey him.

"What is it? You can say it here", I said not wanting to be alone with him at all.

"No, whatever it is it's really urgent. And I want to talk to you alone please ", he said.

He said please? That's really unusual for this Mr. Arrogant Kulkarni. I looked at Kartik in a questioning glance, to which he just nodded his head and left saying he'll be right outside the door. He nodded his head at Alok and left, to which Alok didn't react at all.

"Well now, spill the beans ", I said looking at a I'm lost type of looking Alok.

"Do you know that our parents are trying to engage us together ?", he said with a doubtful look in his eyes.

"What? When? How? Who told you this? ", I asked him in surprise. Even though I knew it was going to happen, but there was still some time before I knew about it in my past life .

"My Dad told me about this, After the previous engagement was cancelled he came up with another marriage proposal. Mom is threatening me by saying that I'll loose her if I don't marry this time for real. I am forced to marry you, if I don't do that she'll suicide", he said with a thick voice.
