Chapter 533: Weeding Out The Bad Part 3

Kana looked at the chunky old man and frowned. He was fat enough to fit two of her standing side by side, but the people outside were unable to even feed themselves to the point that they had to turn to cannibalism. "You want to know how you can help me? You can start by explaining to me why your followers are destroying the crops and livestock. And do not try to say that I am lying and framing you. I have already captured and interrogated one of your people who was using the same white powder that was already on the dead plants. I had already figured it was something to do with this city when I heard that you were allowing people in if they had money. But Let me ask you something…

"What good is money when your people are starving? What good is money when those you let in do not wish to lift a finger to help? Did you ever think that those who were looking for refuge would be more qualified than some king who can't even wipe his own ass in assisting in the future of your race?

"Not to mention it seems you are not even willing to allow demi humans in, who have better abilities than you humans. You want to rid the world of demi humans while slowly killing off your own kind, trapping them inside this city. All you will have in the end is an uprising when one of those kings who wish to take control decides to pull your fat ass off your high seat and stab you through.

"So let me ask you nicely, will you allow those people in or not?" Kana did not hold back her words at all after seeing all the people suffering. She couldn't stand it. They did nothing wrong to suffer like this.

"Miss, I do not know where you come from, but our city is blessed by the angel Nomia. How could anything bad happen while under Nomia's protec…. Ahh!" The old man slapped his beard as it caught on fire. He looked at Kana with fear in his eyes.  "You! You a demon! You are a spawn of the evil god!"

"Sorry, but you're wrong. I am a dragon and the goddess of death. No evil god can match me." Kana said proudly as she stepped forward and grabbed the old man by his face. "I will give you two seconds to decide, will you let them in or not? Actually, never mind because your church here will be no more. Aoi, Ganjo, Naru, I will leave it to you. I will go make sure people are able to at least get a free meal."

"I will be heading over to the entrance with Aruya." Kana wanted to help these people the best she could. It may not be much, but at least those who had come to this city may get a meal or two.

"Don't worry, Kana, us three will take good care of this place," Aoi said with a smile. She seemed a little too excited to be raining down destruction.

After Kana left, the three went right to work, destroying one thing after the other. The once beautiful grand palace was unable to stand up to the spells they were hurling at it. At this time, a middle aged man sitting behind his desk high in his tower had cold sweats soaking his clothes. He held his head in his hands, repeating the same things over and over: "This can't be happening! This is the Holy city of Nomia! How can it be under siege!?"

With a loud bang, a young woman walked through the wall she had just destroyed and looked at the middle aged man with a sweet smile. "So you're the one in charge…." Aoi smiled brightly as she walked over to the middle aged man.  Her every step made the middle aged man's heart jump.

It took all he had to finally ask: "Who are you!? Why are you here!? Do you know what this place is!?"

"Who am I? " Aoi tapped her finger before smiling mischievously. "I am a servant of the Goddess Of Death, and I was told that the people of this city were doing evil deeds and no longer deserved to occupy it. So…. Aoi smiled and raised her hand. Death element began to swirl around it and spread throughout the room. "I will now take out the one who decided that destroying the world was a good idea."

"You! How did you… Ahhhh!" The middle aged man felt his body slowly being sucked of energy, and he stared at Aoi with a face full of regret. He wished he never started any of this. He wished he never awakened the evil god. He wished he never sent people out to destroy the crop fields.  But it was already too late. There was no stopping things now that they had come to this.

While three were destroyed, two were hovering in the air at a riot at the front gates. Kana saw the desperate people being slashed and killed by the guards and frowned. She took a deep breath and let out an earth shattering roar. "Roar!"

It was so loud that everyone froze in fear and looked up into the sky to see two figures standing there. But because of how Kana looked, they all immediately dropped to their knees in prayer.

"It's Nomia!"

"Nomia has arrived!"

"She has come to save us all!"

"Kana, they think you are an angel..." Aruya said teasingly.

"Am I not an angel!? Look at me! I am beautiful. I got feathered wings and a halo!" Kana felt she looked kinda like the image she had seen on the gates.

"Would an angel complain about not having sex with her husband every night? Do you ever realize half the things you say? What about when it comes to meat? You almost bit off Naru's hand when he tried to take the last slice of meat not too long ago! And then..." Aruya kept going on and on as if a dam had broken loose and flooded a ravine.

"Alright, I get it! I will just stick to being a goddess of death. At least then I can still do all of what you said!" Kana pursed her lips before looking back down at the people below her. "From this moment on, this city is under my control. Those who seek refuge will be allowed to enter. Those who just want some food can also get some of that as well. We will be cooking and serving food soon. Guards get some cooks and begin cooking some hot meals for the desperate folks. I don't care if they are human or demi human, all who come will not be turned away. If anyone breaks this rule they will die."
