Kana's body disappeared once again before arriving at the top of a cloud mountain where a hut made of the nebula stood. In front of it, standing there with a smile on his face, was a tall, handsome man. "Come sit. It has been a long time since I have been able to talk with anyone."
Kana nodded her head and floated down to where the hut was, and landed on the cloud mountain. She watched as the man waved his hand, creating a set of chairs for them to sit in. "Now, if I may ask, what is a little girl like you doing all the way out here?"
"Little girl… I am over one hundred, you know." Kana pursed her lips. She was far from being a little girl. She did not care if her status said otherwise!
"Haha! I see you are indeed young. Only a hundred years old… When you get to my age, you will understand what being old is about." The handsome man replied. He wore a black robe and had long black hair. His eyes were yellow, with sparks of lighting radiating off of them.
Kana smiled as she retorted: "It depends on how you look at it, I guess. While you may have lived a long life, I have already lived many. This body may be only a little over one hundred. But if you add in my numerous past lives, you can say that I have lived a few hundred thousand years."
Kana was not lying, her past lives had her living all kinds of lives, and she lived for many, many tens of thousands of years in a few of them. She had so much power but yet there was always one who was stronger. And because she was full of herself, she lost her life. But now that she has this knowledge of her past lives, she knew better than to think she was stronger than everyone else. She would never think she was the strongest, or else when someone stronger does come, she would not be ready. She must always strive to break past the limits no matter what.
"Oh? Now that is a strange occurrence. It is very rare for people to remember their past lives. I guess I should show you the same respect I would show a little lass. Hahaha! Still too green, little lass. Although you have gained knowledge, it only accounts for that short period of time. Anyway, I want to know, why did you come all the way there to this out of the way nebula? The location is far from many planets, and there is nothing really special about it. The lightning I emit normally chases people away." The handsome man asked.
"Because I seek strength and strength is the only way for me to return to where I once was. And in order to gain that strength, I need to gain elements. Especially ones of an elemental who are willing to form a contract with me." Kana knew it was pointless to lie to this handsome man. It was best, to be honest. Honesty was how relationships got off on the right foot.
"I see… You are a strange one. But I can tell you already know I am not a mere human. I can be considered a god in a way. As a lightning elemental, there is no element that can stand against me." The handsome man replied with a faint smile. But for some reason, when he looked into Kana's eyes, he felt a chill run down his spine as if he had just stepped on a landmine.
"Oh? Is that so… Aoi, Aruya, Naru, Ganjo." Kana called out. As she did, four figures suddenly appeared next to her.
The handsome man's face changed when he saw the four elementals, especially when his eyes landed on Aoi. "The Elemental Empress! What how!? Why would you…"
"It's not why I would do anything. Kana found me and saved me. Because of her, I have been able to grow to the strength I have today. The lightning element here is not bad. If I eat some of it, I will be able to gain a new element." Aoi smiled as she took a deep breath and sucked in the lightning element in the air.
"This… Please forgive my insolence! I did not know you were the Elemental Empress's master.." The handsome man suddenly bowed his head, shivering all over. Although one could tell he was much stronger than Aoi because she was the Elemental Empress, he had no way of defying her. Her word was law.
"Aoi, don't scare him." Kana chuckled as she saw Aoi sticking her nose in the air proudly.
"Fine~!" Aoi pursed her lips and then hung her arms over Kana's shoulders and rested her chin on Kana's head as she spoke: "So you will contract Kana, right? I can guarantee that you will not regret it."
"There is no way I would reject the Elemental Empress or her master." The handsome man stood up and then kneeled in front of Kana and bowed his head. "Please accept me as Your elemental. I Kraz will follow you until the end of time." Kraz began the contract process before Kana could say anything, and in no time at all, Kraz was now her elemental. She quickly boosted her mastery to forty percent of Apprentice level before smiling as she saw the evolution button appear. She could not evolve.
"Kraz, my name is Kana. Let's work well together." Kana replied with a smile. She couldn't wait to evolve. But she wondered just how long it would take. The last time it took her twelve years to evolve she wondered if it would take just as long this time as well. She hoped that it would not take too long. She wanted to hurry and grow even stronger faster. She wanted to be first to reach the sea of stars so she could then wait for her family to arrive. She wanted to welcome each of them with a smile on her face. She wanted to be the first to run to them and hug them tightly. This was her current driving force.
