Chapter 705 - Bandits?

On a side path that cut through a grassy field, five young cultivators could be seen walking along. They each had their hands on the weapons, ready for whatever came. They had been on the road for a week now, and things had been easy going. The two girls, Liu Na and Fei, had their work cut out for them because of Fan Sengya always trying to follow Kana everywhere, and that was everywhere, including when she just wanted to go powder her nose. As such, Fan Sengya had quite a few bruises on him, and both his eyes were black and blue.

"How much longer before we reach the forest?" Fei asked.

"At our current pace, it will be a few months. The sect master really picked a far out place. But the farther it is, the more we will be able to train so I can understand why he did pick it." Liu Na answered as she looked at the map. While it was a clear day and their destination was on the horizon, it was still a long way away, especially by foot.

"Benefactors, we should be more silent as this is the area we heard about." Zhong Liuxian reminded the group.

Earlier, when they were in a small town, they had stopped off at an inn to eat when they heard some of the locals talking about a group of bandits taking up residents in the grassy plains robbing the merchants and others who walked the path trying to head to the next town. This was why they had all drawn their weapons, ready for any ambush that came their way.

"Right, sorry." Liu Na lowered her head slightly. She had forgotten that they were on the lookout for bandits.

While the other four seemed very tense as they looked this way and that way, reacting to every sound they heard. Kana walked normally, even with her sword in her hand, while chewing on a blade of grass. She had dealt with many bandits, so she was not too worried about any of this. If they came, they came. If her sword could not beat them, she would burn their toes.

But who would have thought out of all the people there Kana who was walking in the back would suddenly feel a thump on the head, and the sound of shattering metal was heard as it fell to the ground. Kana reached up and touched her head and then turned around to see a man in a black robe standing there looking dumbly at his broken sword. Before he could even had a chance to grasp what had just happened, he was lifted off the ground by his neck as the lizard girl in front of him began yelling at him and slapping him. "Did you just try to stick your sword up my butt!? How dare you try to stick your sword up my butt!? Why the hell does everyone think that they can stick their sword up my butt!? Do I have a sign on my back saying: 'Hey, come here, stick your damn sword up my ass! I enjoy it!' The last time I checked, I did not! So tell me, why the hell did you try to stick your sword up my ass!?"

With every word, Kana was slapping the man in black robes, not with her hand but with the hilt of her sword. Blood dripped from the man's mouth, broken pieces of teeth could be seen flowing out along with it. He was in so much pain that he still hadn't figured out what had happened. He was sure he had struck the damn lizard girl in the head!

"Stupid shit can't even take care of a single little girl!" A brutish voice was heard coming from within the tall grass. A man wearing gray robes came walking out of the bush with a large wooden club in his hand that had spikes on it. He was a tall, muscular man with a bald head.

But because of what was going on behind them, the other four were still trying to figure out what was going on and did not hear the man. After all, Kana seemed very angry at this time, and the man in her grasp face was being rearranged with each slap she gave him.

Of course, the muscular man with the bald head did not like being ignored like this, causing him to yell out: "You dare ignore me!? I am Blood Devil, the leader of the Blood Devil Bandits. Hand over all your valuables and the women."

"Alway, always, always, with the trying to stick the sword up my butt! I am so sick of it! Do you know how many times this has happened through all my years!?  Well, do you!? Why are you not answering!? Why are you spitting up tomato sauce!? Hey, don't pass out! I said, answer my question!? Do you know or not!?" Kana kept yelling and smacking the poor man who could no longer see. He was crying internally to be killed so he would not need to suffer the pain of having all the bones in his face crushed into dust.

"Hey! Hey! I said, hey!? Why the hell are you all ignoring me!?" Blood Devil was starting to feel like he had been forgotten, and as someone who always sought attention at a young age ever since the day he streaked across his home village, getting the nickname Little Pecker to show how much he liked the little lady three doors down and then being shunned by the village and ignored by the girl he liked. Because of being ignored, he had to always be in the center of attention. He spent so many years being ignored he couldn't take it. That was why forty years later, he came up with the idea of starting a gang of bandits and looting and taking women. He actually only wanted the women so he could overcome his fear of rejection and hoped one day he could finally graduate and lose his virginity to the girl he loved. But alas, he was still…. "Hey, look at me when I am talking! Hello!? Can you not see me!? You know what, screw this bandit crap!"

Blood Devil turned and went to walk away to start a new life as a street performer when a big rock crashed into his head. "Can't you stop your yapping when I am trying to get this sword-ass sticking man to answer my questions!? Your yapping is making me lose my concentration!
