Chapter 302: Instructor Shelly Part 2

Kana was led to the dorm where she would be staying for the next few months. They were shared dorms with three other people. Well, her room was shy one person.  "This is your room. Remember, no killing while you are here. If you are caught… Well, let's just say you do not want to get caught…." Shelly's brow furrowed. "Anyway, I never introduced myself. I will be your instructor. You can call me Instructor Shelly. I need to go back and check on the others. The cafeteria is open from six in the morning until nine at night. So schedule your meals around your own time."

"I will remember that, thank you." Kana replied with a smile. Instructor Shelly was surprised to see Kana thanking her so sincerely.  But when she saw that innocent smiling face and remembered that killing intent, she reminded herself not to be deceived. The little girl in front of her was truly a monster. But this also made Instructor Shelly smile. Mainly because if one of the girls under her is the last one standing, that means she will not only get a bonus, but also a chance for a promotion.

Kana watched the array of expressions on Instructor Shelly's face as she walked off and chuckled. "It seems this instructor is interesting." Kana picked one of the bottom bunks to find a set of nightwear, towels, toiletries, and a few more sets of black clothing. Next to the bed was a small dresser with four draws. The opposite side of the room mirrored this as well. Kana took the 2 bottom draws, putting the new clothes there.  On the far wall just above the window in between the beds was a clock. "It's two in the afternoon now, so I will go get a bite to eat before coming back to take a rest. I do not think training will start until tomorrow morning."

On the way here, Kana had noticed a sign just outside the dorm building with a map, so she figured she could easily find the cafeteria. She looked down at her scrawny body and sighed. "Let's try to gain enough weight to at least not look like a little kid anymore." With this thought in mind, she headed towards the exit. But when she was about to leave, someone called out to her.

Kana turned to see a young woman around eighteen years of age standing there. "You are..." The young woman looked at her clipboard and flipped through it for a second before continuing: "You are Seven. You will be starting classes at eight in the morning sharp. Make sure you are in the school building by seven thirty in the morning. If you are late, you will be severely punished. Do you understand?"

"Yes, ma'am!" Kana replied.

"Good. Now go get something good to eat. I heard they have chicken stir fry today. " The young woman's expression went from stern to warm almost instantly.

"I will, thanks." Kana had come to understand that even though these people were acted sternly when speaking about duties, they treated each other kindly when it was just casual talk. But each one of these girls were also girls who were the last to survive, meaning they were all cold blooded killers.

As Kana was walking towards the cafeteria, she saw the eight girls who were under the same instructor walking back, holding their arms. They seemed to be walking very slowly. "Was it really that hard?" Kana thought for a second and then looked at her arms and knew she wouldn't be able to last either. "I should run to the cafeteria. I will need to build my stamina up starting today." With this thought, she did just that and began running at a steady pace towards her destination.

In one of the main buildings, inside a large room with many monitors attached to the walls, four people stood there looking at the screens. "Shelly, your kids looked worn out. At this rate, they will not last more than a few days."

"Heh. If they die, they die. Black Shadow only takes in the cream of the crop. Why else would the world's governments be willing to finance us in the dark? Anyway, this number seven looks promising and her aura.." InstructorShelly shivered. "It's like I  am dealing with one of those old monsters."

"She does seem to have an air about her. Even when she first got off the bus, she looked around at things with an indifferent expression as if she did not belong to this world. It was like she was sitting back watching a play." One of the instructors said.

"I may be lucky for once and have one of my girls finally survive. Then she will become our younger sister." Shelly replied with a faint smile. She hoped Kana would prove her right.

"I do not care who passes as long as they have talent. I will offer up all of my girls as sacrifices."

"Hey, look, we already got a fight. These girls… pulling hair and slapping? Really? Did these kids grow up on the street or grow up as little princesses!?"

Instructor Shelly looked at the screen that had the girls fighting and chuckled. She looked at her sister next to her, who was frowning, and gave her a poke. "Have them do this..." She whispered into her sister's ear, who almost burst out laughing.

"Shelly, do you want them to kill each other!? Locking them together with handcuffs so they have to do everything together for a month, one of them will definitely die!"

"So? It just means we got rid of two trouble makers. If they want to fight and do it in a manner that will get them caught, they deserve punishment, and if they are punished the next time, they want to fight, they will do so in a more stealthy manner. It's the same for assassins who must always stay hidden. Only strike when no one will notice it. Otherwise we are as good as dead." Instructor Shelly left these words before leaving the room heading towards the cafeteria. She decided she wanted to test her little protege.
