Chapter 361: Run In With A Demi God Sea King

[AN: Bonus Chapter 1/5]

Kana ended up falling asleep with the little girl in her arms. When she woke up, she was met with two round blinking eyes. Kana yawned as she stroked the top of the girl's head. "You're up."

"Mmm..." Yana blushed as she stared at Kana. "Will you really save me and give me a real home?"

"Hmm?" Kana did not catch what Yana said because she mumbled her words.

Yana shook her head and said: "Nothing…." as she hugged Kana and buried her face in Kana's chest. Kana smiled and rubbed the little girl's head. Although she was smiling, her eyes had a hint of sadness. She wished her babies could be here hugging her like this. She wanted to be with them so much and missed them so much that it hurt. If they weren't demi gods, she would have been able to raise them for tens of years until they started families of their own. Kana could only hope she could ascend to the realm of gods quickly.

The ocean waves rocked the ship gently as the days passed. The trip so far had been very peaceful. Kana spent all her time with Yana. She completely ignored the rest of the crew. They spent a good portion of their time chatting away in the cabin, and sometimes Kana would pick Kana up and fly around the ship. The two had formed an inseparable bond. Kana knew she was using Yana as a replacement for her kids, but she couldn't help it. Yana was a very good child. Even when she was being scolded for using her powers like she did without thinking about her own life, she nodded her head without saying a word of objection, taking Kana's words to heart.

It was on the night of the fifth week at sea that things began to slowly change. They had finally crossed the line over into the sea of no return. The place where sea monsters were on par with demi gods in strength. Kana stood on the main deck, holding Yana's hand as she looked out over the sea. Fel stood next to them, his face showing a trace of worry.  "From here, we need to be very careful. There is no telling when we will be attacked."

"Mmm... I can sense the sea monsters in the water. They are looking in our direction. I have sent my aura out, which seems to be keeping them at bay for the time being. But I do not know if this will instigate any of them. So far, everything seems fine." Kana's eyes were focused on the ocean waters in front of them. She just hoped things would go smoothly.

A few days went by, and so far, the waters were calm. No sea monsters had attacked as of yet. But on this day, one of Fel's men spotted something on the horizon. "There is something coming this way!"

Kana frowned upon hearing this. She had already sensed it and could tell whoever it was, was a demi god.  "Yana, stay here."

"No! I will go with you!" Yana held tightly onto Kana's arm.

"Kana looked at the girl's big round water eyes and sighed. She couldn't say no to those eyes. "Alright, but you must stay behind me, okay?"

"Mm… I will." Yana nodded.

Kana took her hand and walked out of the cabin. By the time she made it to the front deck she could already see what looked to be a massive monster coming towards them at great speed. But it was not the monster that caught her eye but the thing on top of it.

"Fel, tell your people to stop the ship. I do not think they are here to fight." She could not sense any hostility from the huge monster nor the one on its back. So it was best to see what they wanted.

It only took ten minutes for the huge monster to arrive by the side of the ship. The ship Kana was on could not even compare to the size of this monster. Her ship was like a toothpick in front of this monster.  She looked up towards where the demi god was standing and saw a handsome man with long blue hair and green scaled armor on. He had grey fins on his back and a shark's tail. "What can I do for you?"

"Hmm? Am I not the one who should be asking that question to you? Why have you come to my domain?"  The shark man asked.

"I am just traveling to Pleqoth. I have something I need to find there." Kana answered truthfully.

"Hmm? Then why are you releasing your aura as if you are trying to intimidate my citizens?" The shark man asked.

"Well, it's easier to keep your people away from my ship if I do? Would you rather me roast and cook your people for dinner?" Kana asked. She showed no fear in front of this demi god. Her strength alone was enough to fight against him.

"Hah… Hahahaha!  I see… What you say is true, but you know this ocean has rules. Only those who show their might can pass through it." The shark man said arrogantly, sending his demi god aura directly at Kana.

"Then I would say I am doing a good job. You say these are your waters, so my guess is you are the sea king?" Kana asked. She didn't even flinch under the man's aura.

The shark man raised an eyebrow before frowning.  He did not expect the girl, who was not even a demi god to stand there under his pressure and not even flinch. "Good! Good! If you can survive one blow from me, then I will not bother you and your group again. But if you can't take it, I will kill you all here and, as you said before, roast you."

"That's fine but, a one sided challenge is not very good, right? Let's do this. We will each get one chance to strike down the other. You can go first of course since this is your home. If you win, you can kill us and roast us as you said, but if I win, your monster here will carry this ship to Pleqoth. What do you think?"
