Out on the open water, Kana stood on the front deck of the ship they had just stolen. Next to her was a little girl and a man in black. "So now that we are on the water, tell me your names."
"Miss, My name is Fel. I am a servant to my miss here, Miss Yana." Fel replied.
"As Fel has said, my name is Yana, Yana Millsworld. My family is one of the richest in what was once the Botus Empire." Yana answered, bowing her head as she continued: "Thank you very much. I could not think of any place other than Pleqoth the Land of the Ancients, to escape to. I only ask for your assistance getting there. Once we reach land, we will not bother you again."
"It's fine. I needed a ship anyways since flying would take too long and would be very tiring. So having a ship and a crew to sail it is very good. I will be lounging about the ship looking around, so if anything happens, just call me." Kana said with a smile.
"Then I will go back to directing my men." Fel gave Kana a nod and went about his business. As for Yana, she kept looking at Kana.
"Yes?" Kana asked, a little annoyed with the little girl's blatant stare. But when she looked over at Yana, Kana was stunned to see the little girl's eyes had turned into a picturesque space scape. Kana felt like the little girl was seeing through her.
After a few seconds, the girl suddenly came back to her senses and stumbled backwards a few steps before catching herself. She raised her head that had beads of sweat dripping down it and looked at Kana in amazement: "You! You are..." As she said this, Yana's eyes rolled into the back of her head, and she passed out.
"Hey!" Kana rushed over and caught the little girl before she hit the ground. She was very confused as to what was going on.
Fel had not gone far and heard Kana yell, so he came running back. "Miss!"
"Fel, what is this girl!? She is not just some girl who was about to be married off." Kana asked as she picked the girl up into her arms. Fel wanted to take her away from Kana but stopped when he saw Kana glare at him.
"She... We should go inside." Fel sighed. He knew what must have happened, and since it was seen, there was nothing he could do about it except explain.
Inside the ship's cabin Kana gently laid the girl down onto the bed. and sat next to her. She gently tucked a lock of the girl's hair behind her ear and let out a sigh. Just looking at this little girl made her remember her babies. Fel saw the kind eyes Kana was giving the girl and let out a sigh of relief as he pulled up a stool and sat down.
"Yana is special. She may look human, but she is not even from this realm. It was ten years ago. My master stumbled upon an artifact that allowed him to enter a different dimension. Unlike magic realms, this was a whole different dimension and within that dimension was a certain race called stargazers. He stayed with that race, and this race was kind enough to use their ability of starseeing to look into my master's future. When he got back, our master ended up borrowing tons of money and was making many investments that all paid off well, allowing him to not only pay off his loans but also become one of the richest men in the world.
"But this was not enough. He wanted a stargazer for himself. So he used the artifact once more and returned to that dimension. He then killed a family there and kidnapped their baby. Once he returned, he made sure to smash the artifact so that when the baby grew up, she wouldn't be able to return to her homeworld. The reason our miss ran away was because she overheard my master talking about this. But since then, I have served my miss and have looked after her as if she was my own daughter. He wanted to force my miss to marry his good for nothing son and give birth to more stargazers. My original plan was to take her back until I could figure out a way for her to escape without being caught. But as you can see, my plan was unneeded." Fel explained. His expression was very grim.
"Then why did she suddenly collapsed after using her starseeing ability? " Kana asked.
"The problem is that even though miss can use her ability here, she lacks a certain kind of energy that her dimension had to use her ability without harming her. Each time she uses it, she is basically shortening her lifespan by a few years. When my master found this out, he wanted my miss to give birth to more stargazers." Fel looked over at the little girl sleeping on the bed and let out a sigh. "As of now there is no telling just how much life span she has left."
"Then she was right to run away. But I wonder why she used her ability on me." Kana frowned. She looked at the little girl and wanted to wake her and scold her for being an idiot, but she restrained herself.
"My miss is very kind hearted. She probably wanted to use her ability as a way of saying thank you."
"Whatever the case may be, she will hear it from me when she wakes up. She shouldn't use her ability at all if it is just killing her." Kana reached over and gently stroked the top of the girl's head. The girl must have felt Kana's warmth because she rolled over and snuggled into Kana's side. Kana's eyes softened and got a bit more comfortable. She wondered when this girl ever got any parental love.
"I will leave my miss to you." Fel said as he got up and left the room. He could only guess that his miss must have foreseen this woman with her special ability. If that was the case then her meeting Kana was fate.
