Chapter 452: Helping Search For A Son Part 2

"Yes, but she had died and reincarnated into what she is now." Kana answered for the very confused Eie.

"That should pose no problem. Her ley line is fully connected, so no matter how many lives she has lived, I will be able to find what she is looking for. I can also retrieve memories of reincarnations of the past if you wish as well." Tri'an looked right at Kana when she said this. Kana's ley line was very thick, meaning she has reincarnated a number of times. But this was to be expected as she was the goddess of death after all.

"Yo-You can help me search for me, son!?" Eie eyes began watering up. She was having a hard time composing herself.  She only needed to know how he was doing even if he was dead.

"Yes, clear your mind and allow me to enter. Only think about your son, do not let me see anything else, or it might cause interference."  Tri'an flew over and placed her little hand on Eie's forehead. Tri'an's eyes began to glow as she spoke softly: " Clear your mind. Only think about your son. Picture him as much as possible. I will begin searching from your original home planet."

A bright light shined from Tri'an's eyes, and a screen appeared not only in front of Eie so she could see but also for Kana as well. It depicted a more advanced earth with higher levels of technology than the one that was set to be destroyed by those who created it.  The image was of an elderly man sitting on a couch in his house watching the news. Next to him was an elderly woman resting her head on his shoulder. There were many pictures on the walls. One picture, in particular, stood out from the rest. It was enshrined in a white cabinet. It showed a picture of a woman in a lab coat smiling away while holding an award. As soon as Eie saw that picture, she burst into tears. "It's him! My baby boy!"

Kana smiled warmly at Eie. She was happy she could help her out. This was one of the things Eie had been wanting for so long and was the reason why she worked so hard on the star hopper. Now her hard work is coming to fruition. Aoi reached over and held Naru's hand. She was doing her best to hold back her tears. Naru, on the other hand, was raining tears. He felt this scene was just too sad.

Eie slowly calmed down and wiped her eyes. "That's good… Thank you… Thank you so much… I do not know how to thank you."

"No thanks needed. You are a friend of the goddess of death. It is only right for me to help you." Tri'an reached over and helped wipe Eie's tears.

"I am happy for you, Eie." Kana was very happy for her.

"Kana, can you send me back. There are still many things I need to do back at the lab, and I kinda want to be alone right now." Eie was happy to see that her son was doing fine, but she still wished to be alone and work out her thoughts.

"Mmm… Eie. Whatever you do from this moment on, just remember you are now part of my family, so no running away without a word, okay?" Kana was worried that Eie might decide to leave without a word now that her goal was accomplished.

"I would never leave! Right now, Kana, you are my new family. You accepted me and allowed me to work towards my goal, and not only that, you helped me achieve it. I just need a bigger and broader goal!" Eie spoke from the bottom of her heart. She was very grateful to Kana. Thanks to her, her dream of seeing how her son was doing had finally come true.

"If you want a new goal, why not study these ley lines." Kana suggested. She felt that maybe Eie would be interested in such a thing.

"This… I would only be able to do it if Miss Tri'an is willing to assist me..." Eie did not know where to start and only knew of Miss Tri'an, who knew about ley lines. Before this, she had never even heard of them.

Tri'an eyes seemed to have flashed as she heard Eie wanting her help. "I will help! Whatever you need me to do, I will do."

"Are you sure? I mean, you might need to come to my world in order to help out. That is where my lab is. I mean, I could keep a sustained connection to this world via the star hopper but…. No, I would need to build another one. But this one can be smaller since you and I are not that big, to begin with. By doing so, we would have a connection to this world and... " Eie's brain was turning. She felt much better now that she had something new to work towards.

Kana smiled, seeing Eie becoming normal again. But she felt that Tri'an was a little too excited.  And touchy feely? "Aoi..."

"Hmm?" Aoi leaned in close to Kana when she saw her waving her in.

"Do you think that maybe Tri'an took a liking to Eie?" Kana asked. She had to get an opinion on this.

Aoi observed Tri'an as she smiled away, answering every one of Eie's questions while fixing Eie's hair every time it went out of place. "Umm… Maybe? It could be a spirit thing too? Maybe she has a hair out of place thing?"

"Well, whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be bothering Eie. But if I am not wrong, I think there is a bump in Tri'an's skirt. Could she be a he?" Kana had noticed the small little protrusion. It was hard not to see.

"I ummm…. Kana, let's go find the thing we came to find." Aoi blushed from ear to ear. She couldn't handle such things!
