"Kana!?" Sei saw the grey fog spreading out from Kana flooding out of her body and felt fear well up inside her as she quickly flew up into the sky, not daring to get near it. "Kana, snap out of it! If you do this, you will regret it for the rest of your life!"
"Why!? Why does everyone I care about die? Why do those who have done nothing wrong need to die!? Why must I suffer over and over again!? Why!? Why!?" Kana had basically lost control of her emotions. Images of scenes she had never even known about kept appearing in her mind. Each one was more heartbreaking than the next. Each and every one of the people she felt love for dying for no reason. "It's my fault, isn't it? It's because I was around that this happened. If I were to disappear, everyone would be safe… Yes… I just need to disappear… Disappear…."
Sei couldn't understand what was happening. She only knew that Kana was about to try to do something stupid and that if she did not try to stop her, things would turn out bad. She gritted her teeth and wrapped her body in dark element, hoping that it would protect her before deciding to charge forward to try to knock Kana out before she could do anything she would regret. But, before she got close to Kana, an old man bathed in golden light appeared next to her. "Now… Now… We can not allow you to do that. This old man will not be happy if his disciples went and did something so silly as to destroy her own soul."
The old man who appeared next to Kana placed his hand on Kana's head, causing the death element that was starting to go berserk to suddenly disappear. He then turned to Sei and smiled at her. "I will be taking her away for the time being. How long it will be before she finally returns, I do not know. But for now, with her instability, she will need to forget everything for a while. Only after she is able to slowly regain her memories of this life and reach a certain stage of evolution, will she finally be able to unlock the memories hidden deep within her mind. You, little girl, tell her family that she will be safe and just wait. Make sure they work hard to grow in strength if they wish to stay by her side."
"Wait, who are you, and where are you taking her!? Why can't she stay with her family!?" Sei was confused. She had no idea who this old man was, but she had a strong sensation of peace and calmness just by looking at him.
"Me? I am everything. As for where I am taking her, you do not need to worry about that. But I will say that if she continues to stay here with her family as she is now, she will break, and I do not wish to see that happen. She is someone I have watched grow for billions of years, after all. Now then, remember my words. We will be leaving now." The old man waved his hand, making Kana float up into the air, and turned to walk away but paused and turned his head to look at Sei once more. "Tell her husband she will always return to his side and that he needs to grow stronger and break his mortal chains. When they will meet again, I do not know. That will be up to her."
With these words, before Sei could say anything back, the old man disappeared, bringing Kana with him. "What wait!? Kana! How am I supposed to explain all of this!?"

In the realm of gods, Creige looked at the sword in front of him with a hand frozen mid air as he suddenly felt the connection between him and Kana disappear. "Kana!?" Creige shot up from his seat and raced down to the lab where Tri'an was helping Eie and grabbed the little spirit, "Help me locate Kana! Help me find my wife!"
"What!? Creige!? Let go of her. She will be crushed if you do that!" Eie yelled out.
Creige realized what he was doing and quickly let go. "Sorry… But please search for my wife..."
"What happened to Kana!?" Eie asked, her voice filled with worry. She had never seen Creige panic like this.
"My link to Kana is gone. All of them, even the one from our past life is gone. My status no longer shows any passive skills for our connection either." Creige's voice was shaky, as if he was on the verge of tears. He had never once not felt his wife's soul. It had faded slightly before, but this time. This time was different. It was completely gone. Even the connection from their past life was gone. The soul contract was no longer intact.
Tri'an adjusted her skirt and looked at Creige, who held a look of desperation, and sighed. "I can try, but it may be hard."
"You won't need to…" Sei's voice came from behind them. "Creige, come talk. I have something to inform you about."
A few minutes later, an explosion was heard from upstairs as part of the house was blown apart. "You're telling me some old man took my wife!?"
"Creige, calm down." Tri'an yelled as she turned to Sei. "Did you say he said he was everything?"
"Mmm. He said something about Kana being his disciple as well." Sei replied. She was still very confused about all of this, but she had to inform Creige before anyone else.
"If that is what he said and he was also able to cause her death element to disappear, then it can only be him. He is the god of all gods, the god of creation himself, and the one who sits upon the holy throne in Eden. Creige, if he said you will need to grow stronger in order to be by her side and break the mortal chains, then that means you will need to work harder. You can no longer sit around forging weapons all day as you have. If you truly love Kana, then you need to grow stronger, much stronger than you ever have before." Tri'an had a feeling Kana was special somehow. With how many ley lines that she had from all the lives she had lived, there was no way she was normal.
"Then what do I do in order to be by my wife's side again?" Creige took a deep breath and tried to calm his emotions. Right now he just needed to know how to be by Kana's side once again.
