Chapter 495: Strange Creature

"If you really wish to be by Kana's side, first pull those she holds dear out of the mortal realm." Tri'an replied firmly. "From what we know, the mortal realm is basically doomed without Kana. Even if you were to try to save it all now, it would come at a loss, and those she holds dear may get hurt in the process. If you wish to be able to smile when she comes back, then at least save those you can."

"Creige, I hate to say it, but she is right. The devastation of Kana losing Ceilie is what drove her to what had happened. For now, we can only pull Tilia and the lich out of the mortal realm even if they wish to stay. But speaking of those Kana cares about, where is her mother?" Sei wondered if Lysairth was still okay.

"I am right here. Don't worry. I also know Kana is safe and sound, but sadly I cannot tell you where she is. I can only sense she is okay as I am part of her. The person who took her seems to have kept our connection. Although I can only sense she is fine, I can no longer return to her side. I feel like something is blocking me from doing so." Lysairth said as she walked into the house.

"As long as you can still sense she is alive, that is good enough for me. Mom, please stay in the area, so nothing happens to you. Kana would not want you to disappear on her." Criege was basically begging at this point because he knew how Lysairth loved to wander everywhere and disappear for days on end.

"I will hang out around the house from now on. I know how serious the issue is. But Creige, you should stop wasting time here and run along to the mortal realm and deal with what Kana started." Lysairth couldn't stand the face Creige was making. It was not like him.

"Alright, I will go now. Thank you all." Creige bowed his head before disappearing.

As soon as He disappeared, an old man appeared next to Lysairth. "Haha, sorry about having to have you deal with that."

"As long as my daughter is safe and sound, it's fine." Lysairth snorted.

Tri'an suddenly got down on one knee and bowed her head. "Your holiness."

"Stop that! I am no one you should bow to, or do I wish to be some kind of object of worship. Although those idiots in Aurora do the same thing.." The old man said with a long dejected sigh. "Anyway, I want you girls to keep that man sane. Make sure he is following the correct path. My successor will need him in her life, later on, to stabilize her completely. But that is later. For now, she needs to forget everything and go on a journey elsewhere. She will be sent to another world like this one to clear her mind and hopefully heal some of the wounds hidden in her soul.

"But I promise you that in due time she will find you all again. It will just take time for her to break the seal I have on her mind right now that is keeping her from losing herself. Once she slowly accepts all that has happened, only then will she finally be able to be free. I could easily fix it, but that would not be the true her and a creation I made of her. I do not wish to have a successor who is not of her own mind."

"Sir, what do you mean? If she does not remember us or anything else, wouldn't she be starting from scratch?" Eie asked. She had picked up on many things the old man had glossed over.

"Not from scratch. She will still have her current powers, but she will not remember any of you or who she was as she begins a journey to find her true self. She needs time to slowly heal the wounds in her heart. Only then will the seal slowly begin to break." The old man replied.

"I still do not understand. Why can't she do that here?" Sei still felt it would be best to be with friends and family if she needed time to heal. This way, they could be here to support her.

"Because you do not know who she truly is. To put it bluntly, you all are holding her back from remembering her true self. But I can guarantee that she will return for her family, this much I know. I can no longer stick around. How you take my words is up to you. But you should trust in her." The old man smiled and disappeared as quickly as he came. Leaving the four girls standing there in deep thought.

"Lysairth, you knew?" Sei asked.

"He contacted me after the fact because he knew separating me from Kana would cause me to disappear and bring her more heartache. He did not wish for that. But he wishes for Kana to become who she really should be. What it all means, I do not know. I can only sit and wait for her return. How long it will take, I don't know either..."

In a large field filled with different colored flowers, a young girl around eight or nine years old was running through it with a young woman following behind her. They both looked human in nature. "Bella, slow down, or you might fall!"

"No, I won…. Ahhh! A monster! Mommy, a monster!" Bella, the young girl, turned around and ran back towards her mother as if her toes were on fire. The young woman caught up to her daughter and picked her up, and walked over to where the supposed monster was.

What came into view was a large white lizard with white feathered wings, two horns, and a halo hanging off the side of one of them. It was the strangest creature the young woman had ever seen before. The young woman was about to back away when she heard the most astonishing thing… "Why are you taking my meat? I was not done with that..."
