129 Chapter 129. A revelation- 2

Felix nervously fidgeted, but straightened himself to finally say the truth. He stood up straight and looked at his sister, who was noticeably pale in the face. This went unnoticed by her brother as he was determined to speak. Well, he need to face it and can't avoid this.  He might hide it today, but however, he need to face it in the end.

It's not easy even on his end. It's his first time breaking his promise for his dear sister and he is worried how she would receive it. Felix took a deep breath in and finally decided to bite the bullet, he finally spoke his stance, "Uncle Alex is sending me on a mission. You know that I put my speculations in front of everyone? Uncle consulted me in person after the emergency meeting ended and asked me to investigate further on this issue. He wants it to be done secretly and quickly. So, he is sending me out now. He trusts me Aeinshia, and I don't want to break his trust on me. I think this is the only way. " He replied.

Felix stopped and looked for a reaction from his sister. He got nothing, but a blank stare. Aeinshia was just staring at him blankly. She couldn't understand, despite all her efforts to change everything and all, she came back to the square. At the end, she had to face it all alone. Everyone broke their promise to her and again told that she could only depend on herself.

Evan won't come with her, she understood that point. She hoped, Felix would go with her. But, now, he is telling that he need to go for a mission too for and that too a mission ordered by her very own emperor uncle. What can she say to that? She can't stop them from going nor convince her uncle to pause Felix mission for a while.

Simply to say, if it's possible, her uncle wouldn't have sent Felix if he could trust and send someone else around him. To all of them their country is the first thing and she can't tell them to change their priorities. Yes, no matter what, even though she plays a major role in each of their lives, at the end, she is simply a citizen in entire seazle empire.

All of them can't possibly delay their works just to save this oke citizen compared to hundreds of thousands of other citizen lives. Well, she too can't be too selfish and wish they stop all their works for her, which only points out she is a hindrance in completion their duties.

She couldn't stop it. She can't stop anything. Nor her lover, not her brother and nor her future and fate. This is her ill-fate which she had to face no matter what. She was feeling nauseous from the thought of the incidents repeating again.

All the negative things started to cloud her consciousness. Tears were about to pool in her eyes, but she snapped herself from all those as she realized her brother was before her. He is eager and expecting her to speak something. The reaction and response maybe anything, but all he cared for was an reply.

He was already feelign awful to break his promise and now, she couldn't cry and make him even more guilty. Her father was not there and she can't have her brother going to his important mission worrying about her. It is a big step in his career and she really can't be a obstacle to his bright future.

She has to be strong, if she wised to bring any change. But, what if--, Aeinshia shook her head lightly and looked down, trying to not to focus on the negative thoughts. She would do all these when she is alone and she can be pathetic and miserable in peace, away from the judging and inquiring eyes. She need to reply to her brother first, or else he might feel worse.

She looked up. Even though, she tried, she couldn't stop her eyes from getting teary when she saw her brothers eyes, Felix saw Aeinshia's eyes filling with water and he went near her to hug her.

She tried to resist it, but she couldn't and let herself to be enveloped by her brothers warm embrace. She didn't know, if she would be able to feel it again.

But, she didn't let out many tears. She parted from Felix and looked at him.  "When are you leaving?" she asked, trying her best to keep all the tears and heavy emotions at bay, while her voice held heaviness as She forcibly tried to speak out those four words. She cursed herself when her voice cracked a little at the end. She knew, her brother clearly understood she isn't willing to leave him and go alone, but she really can't hide so much at a time.

Felix looked at her with sad eyes and replied, "Maybe....after Evan leaves, I'll proceed too. Though, my journey would be kept as a secret." He informed her and Aeinshia couldn't do anything, but to stare at him and nod slowly.

They stayed silent like that, just staring at each other. Well, Aeinshia staring at her brother and Felix staring at anything, but Aeinshia. He was incredibly guilty. Never has he broke his promise with his sister and this would be the first time.

This really isn't something which he could avoid or assign someone else in his place and make do. This is a top secret mission assigned the ruling emperoer of his empire, how could he refuse the orders of an emperor? No matter how they were related, it is a matter between an emperor and his subordinate, not between an uncle and nephew.

What can he do? He can't fulfill it this time. Their empire is in danger this time and their personal reasons should go. He knew, Aeinshia is sad and maybe a bit hurt, but he couldn't do anything in this type of situation.

He couldn't understand his sister's expression. Her expression was blank, eyes blank and glossy. He couldn't read her thoughts and he was getting scared by this behavior. When he decided that this wasn't going anywhere, he decided to stop this.

"I think you should get ready as well, Aeinshia. You would be staying in the Palace, as per Uncle Alex's request. I and father both won't be here, so it would be safe for you to stay in the Palace when the situation in the capital is this chaotic. " He tried his best to divert her thoughts and at least look at some expression on her face.

He couldn't stand his sister being hurt and upset because of him. It was a new feeling for him too. He never upset her this much. He didn't want to stand before her, so he moved and collected something on his desk.

Aeinshia finally snapped out of her thoughts. She was feeling numb for some reason, on this situation. Yes, she was having negative thoughts that were buzzing at the lightening speed in her mind, but that was it. She felt like crying her heart out at first, but now, that feeling seem to have dissipated.

She looked at Felix, who was busily moving around his desk, fumbling with papers. He seemed tensed up, with a frown and lips trembling and he licking them often. Aeinshia sighed. She is not in a right mind to think of anything, right now.

So, she decided, she better be going to get ready. She opened her mouth to inform Felix that she will be going to her room and they could proceed to the Palace, but she couldn't. She feared that her voice would crack again, if she spoke.

Still, she gathered up her courage and spoke, "Brother. I'll be ready in sometime. The maids have already prepared my things, as you already informed them. We would proceed to Palace, after sometime. I'll make it quick."

She told and didn't even spare a single glance at him and rushed out of the room. She felt, she somehow offended and made Felix feel guilty. She couldn't stand all that and she rushed out of her room.

This time, she didn't sprint to her room, but took her time going to her room. When, she finally reached her room, she realized that one of the maids was standing beside the door. She waves her hand and said, "I would get ready by myself." She went inside of her room, without even glancing at the maid and closed her doors, not really cared about other things anymore.
