The guards at the entrance of princess quarters allowed her to pass, knowing full well about her. They greeted her, but she ignored and rushed past them. This was so unusual of the princess. She always greeted the guards at the entrance and always acknowledged their presence. This is so unlikely of herself.
She would sometimes give small gifts to them, to show her appreciation to them for guarding them well and for their sincere protection to the princesses. However, the guards can't question the royals, but only receive what they get. Whether its appreciation or ignorance, they had to keep up with whatever reactions they get and keep it to themselves. They really can't show much emotions while working.
Aeinshia was thankful for the first time, that she didn't see anyone in the hallways towards her room. Normally, there would be ladies- in-waiting roaming around or waiting at the doors or will be going from one princess chambers to other. Also, the maids, who would constantly going around to fulfill the needs of the princesses as well as the quarters.
When Aeinshia reached her doors, she bust through them and quickly shut the door behind her. Making sure to lock it. She doesn't want any disturbances right now, in her crying session, nor does she need anyone walking onto her session.
She always maintained her strong persona to them and she would like to continue that. Not that, she never cried infront of them. But, she was never this vulnerable and helpless as she was in this situation.
She was feeling the pent up sadness and frustration inside her, welling up. She walked towards the window of the room and opened it, allowing the cool wind to come in. To calm down her raging nerves.
To cool down her heated brain filled with negative thoughts. She couldn't handle them.
So, that's how, Princess Aeinshia Rutz found herself sitting over the window sill, drawing her knees up to her chest, placing her head between her knee caps and crying her heart out.
Wailing at her ill fate, that she doesn't seem to solve at all. No matter, how much she tried.
'Why? Why this happening? What I did wasn't enough? I tried to solve everything. I changed myself and changed my way of seeing the things and tried to understand everyone around me. I and Evan were also having a stable relationship. I and brother were now, stronger than ever. I and father were understanding each other and showing love to each other.
Then, why? Why is the universe so hell bent on making me suffer? What did I do so wrong? All I wanted is to love and live the love of my life, happily, forever. Is it too much to ask? Why can't I be happy for once.
Aeinshia cursed her fate, the universe and even, herself for all this happenings. She was clueless. She was helpless. She didn't know what to do now. Everything was going according her plan. She thought she could avoid the crisis ahead but everything came to the point where she started. Once again she understood, she can't depend on others but on her. But she didn't fins any energy to fight against anyone. She is weak and lost all her confidence.
It was even going in a better way till now. She was all set to go to that cursed accident with her brother and her lover now. But, all of that went into drain, because of all this.
Don't blame her. She too, wanted the best for her empire. That's the reason, why she allowed, Felix and Evan to go in the first place. But, she can't help but, blame the situation for all this.
Well, it was the situations in the first place to blame. Our feelings and support may change, but the situations always reccurs. It may seem different. But, they are always the same to check our changes.
A test everyone tries to give their best, but miss the key element.
Aeinshia was continuing her self pity and blaming herself for everything, when a soft knock echoed in the room. Aeinshia was not in the right mind and the wails echoing in her ears, was blocking every other sound to reach her.
This time, the knock came a bit louder. Still, it didn't reach Aeinshia's ears. She was too far gone. Too far gone, being a crying mess. This time, the knock was even louder and came repeatedly.
First time, it was two times and next, it came three times and a bit louder. Finally, Aeinshia heard it and the first reaction she had was to get annoyed.
Now, can't she even drown herself in tears in peace? Why are people always on her? Why was all the attention on her? Why was she center of everything? Why is she target of all their dirty schemes? Is born a Royal her mistake?
These thoughts raced through her head, while she wiped her face with her hands. A soft sigh, escaped past her lips, when she realized, it was no one's fault. There was no one, whom she could blame for all this.
She got up from the window sill and went in front of her dressing table. She harshly snatched a hand kerchief from the table and wailed her face with it. Her eyes were a bit swollen, but they weren't red. So, she can easily make an excuse, if they ask.
The knock was now, repeatitive and she was getting annoyed by all of this. She was ready to scold, whoever was on other side. And, if it was a maid, she was sure, she could fire her from her position. Who is so daring enough to disturb a princess rest? Only those who are willing to lose their jobs must be it.
She reached the door and lifted the latch, no so gently. When she pulled the doors open, she saw a shining ball of sunshine. Aeinshia looked at the small figure, in front of her and sighed heavily.
She ducked her head and tightly, closed her eyes. She can't scold her or say anything to her. Why? Because, the older princess and elder daughter of the Emperor, herself was standing infront of her, with her blinding, wide and innocent smile. Even the devil has to kneel in front this little princess for her cute smile, then how could this mere human could be harsh on a little girl?
Aeinshia looked up and made an eye contact with her. All, she saw was innocence and curiosity in them. She envied that. She was like that, once. But, now, she is just a broken and emotionally damaged, pathetically love craving woman.
Yet, the smile that appeared on her face, seeing the young princess, wasn't a bitter one. It was genuine. Princess Lucia, came forward and tugged at her arm, looking curiously into her eyes. "Sister Aeinshia, why aren't you talking? And, why were you not opening your door? Why are your eyes swollen?" She asked in a soft voice.
Aeinshia, still didn't reply and was lost in the pure eyes of the princess. Seeing, this confusion increased even more in the little princess and she began to ramble.
"Sister, I was knocking gently on your door, first. Because mother and my teacher, told me, princesses are supposed to be gentle and are supposed to do the tasks gently. They told ladies should be graceful and gentle. Everyery task should be done softly. So, I decided I'll do the exact thing. But, you didn't open the door, when I knocked softly. Why? I thought you didn't hear it and I knocked it a bit harshly. "
" But, you didn't, so decided to break the door first, however resigned that idea and gave repeatitive knocking, thinking that will get your attention. Because, father always says, you should be consistent for the results.
But, this means I didn't follow what teacher and mother said. Will I get into trouble for this? But, I was only following father's orders."
" They say the Emperor's words are always right and I should follow them. So, according to me I did the right thing. What do you say about that, Sister Aeinshia? What I did is right or wrong? By the way, why weren't you answering the door? Were you sleeping? Were you busy with something?"
Finally, Lucia decided it was finally time to stop and stared up at Aeinshia with puppy eyes and pouty lips. This little girl site for a lot to speak. But, Aeinshia's head was spinning at this point. She was not in the right mind and this was adding an extra load on her and she was not up for it.
So, she smiled at her and ruffled her hair a bit. A gesture to divert the little Princess Lucia from her ramblings, so that she wouldn't hurt by not answering her question, which Aeinshia didn't even listen in the first place. She already got many problems on her shoulder, how could she find a place for others rambling?
Lucia pouted and pushed Aeinshia's hands gently off her hair. That girl was obsessed with how her hair looks. She will not be happy, if you mess with her hair. Lucia patted her hair and brushed the stray hairs that fell on her face and faced Aienshia once again, who was fondly looking at her.
Suddenly, Lucia's eyes went wide. Aeinshia, who momentarily forgot, what she was thinking and her sorrows and raised an eyebrow at Lucia's actions. She looked as if she forgot something.
"Oh! How forgetful can I get? Idiot Lucia." Lucia, faceplamed herself and then, looked at Aeinshia again. Then, a wide smile took over her face. Aeinshia unconsciously smiled, seeing the increasing smile on Lucia's face.
"Sister Aeinshia, come with me. "
