Chapter 90 - (Mysterious Gate, I Know Of Who You Are)

Vince did not doubt that Hiro might have already discovered their existence by entering this island. But, he was still rather surprised by the calm response made by that senior side.

It was too welcoming in their eyes. No waves of resistance or even anything. At first, Vince was already prepared to risk it all to gain Hiro's approval.

Vince speculated that he might have to fight with all of his power but now the results were different than he expected.

There was nothing else down here other than these large steps that stretched beyond the sky, and those fields of flowers added in with those statues.

"I guess, the only way to go up is by using these steps."

His eyes gleamed a little as he gazed about the large towering steps before him.

Upon closer inspection, these large steps were seemed to be made out of very powerful materials.

He sensed a very sophisticated means of shaping them and also a very deadly force hidden under it.

"You guys will wait here for me. I am going up"

He firmly made his decision with a resolute gaze but before he could even take one step forward.

A warm embrace was quickly wrapping his waist from the back and accompanied with it would be a teary woman's voice.

Who else could it be other than his wife?

"Vince, promise me that you will return. No matter what."

Her voice was a bit shaky and teary. Filled with worries about her beloved determination.

Hearing this, Vince touched the woman's hand and slowly pulled it away in a gentle manner while saying.

"I will come back. No matter what, I will"

After bidding the temporary farewell to his family, Vince then finally embarked upon the path of the unknown.

Slowly rising from the bottom of the mountain as he climbed the steps one by one. Passing through the sea of clouds and rising on even further and further.

Not long after, he finally reached the top of this mountain. And what joined into his sight would be a mysterious giant gate standing still in the middle of a white platform.

Layered in from all sides with those mystical red gasses surrounding this whole expanse.

"It should be inside the gate. "

He slowly mumbled to himself in a low voice as he glanced over the compass that was on his palm.

Placed it back inside his pocket and slowly stepped forth towards the mysterious gate In a cautious manner.

Taking a closer look at this unknown existence. There was no door whatsoever that could be pushed or pulled in the middle of it.

It was just a weird spiraling black substance that was constantly squirming in the middle. Added in with those odd red gasses energy that was spewing out of it from time to time.

He tried to touch the weird black substance with his hand. And the moment his finger was about to reach the so-called black substance, his hand immediately passed through it as if it didn't exist.

This was extremely weird since, under his divine perception, this weird black substance should be in a solid-state that could be touched.

"What a mysterious place. But whatever, I should get going now to the other side."

*steps* *steps* *steps*

*swoosh!*

Entering the gate, his vision was altered numerous times in a continuous color switch. His body felt light and heavy at the same time with his mind being fuzzy for a while.

And not long after, he finally regained his senses as he struggled to stand up yet again.

Glancing about towards the surroundings and to his alarm, there was nothing here other than the endless plain of darkness.

This was the same place that Hiro had used to greet Mirai before. He called it the void of consciousness.

In this place, he is the master of laws, the ruler of concept, and the forger of will. Sounds powerful but not that powerful.

It is similar to that of a large illusion spell but with an imagination realism feelings contained within it.

"This place is?"

*boom!*

"Who?!"

Abruptly, the sky above this space of darkness was forcibly torn apart by an astonishing powerful force.

Ripping the space into shreds as soon enough a majestic breath instantly detonated from the crack and flooded the whole world into a state of desperation.

"Arghh!"

*boom!*

His body was slammed down under an unknown pressure. Gritted his teeth in ugliness as he tried to resist the pressure with all of his power.

But to no avail, his resistance was ineffective.

At the very least, his divine senses were not restricted much inside this space. Allowing him to see without using his eyes.

At the same time.

*swoosh!* *swoosh!* *swoosh!*

Numerous giants of light began to appear one by one inside this void of consciousness.

Varied of appearances as they appeared on all sides of this space with their head peering upwards towards the crack.

Each one of them was as big as a mountain, shrouded in a mysterious divine light all around them as they quietly stood still as if they were waiting for something.

Vince naturally noticed these sudden emergences of those giants of light. He sensed almost no limit to their energy with his heart tightened in the horror of such a powerful group of existence.

He couldn't sense how powerful they are meaning that they should be stronger than him.

But that is impossible. Being stronger than him could only indicate that these giants of light are on the ancient level realm or even above.

And their numbers are way beyond the thousands or even tens of thousands.

What is the concept of having ten of thousand of ancient level experts?. Simply horrible, this force could easily wipe the whole region if not controlled.

But of course, those thoughts of his were meant to be momentary. Since his current circumstances don't allow him to think much of any other issues.

Soon enough, the waiting finally ended as all of the giants of light kneeled onto the ground.

"Greet the lord of Evertruth. "

They spoke in unison as their voice thundered about the whole space like a hurricane.

The void shuddered and trembled as their voices reverberated about the whole space with loud booming echoes.

Reached every end of this space as Vince's eyes broadened in disbelief upon the next scene that was about to transpire.

Then there he saw it, the vast space cracks up above the heaven was slowly being unfolded to all sides as soon enough a gigantic pair of cold emerald eyes emerged in the darkness behind it.

The size of those eyes was utterly alarming. As if those giants of lights were simply the size of an ant compared to the pair of eyes.

"What in the world is that?"

Vince muttered back inside his head, with his eyes dilated in horror upon this picture.

Everything that happened just now was the opposite of the things that he was expecting. He didn't come here for this, but instead, he was searching for that senior from before.

Where is the senior?.

The compass was pointing in this direction then the senior should be here, no?. But no matter how far he circulated his divine senses all around this space, he still couldn't find any traces of Saya.

Was the compass broken?. What is happening here?.

Without him being able to think much further, a heavenly voice suddenly rippled about from the front.

"Since you have come from afar to this place, then now I shall let you speak of your purpose by coming here"

The moment the voice dropped into the dark medium, Vince's body vanished away from the spot and reappeared somewhere high above the sky.

Directly below the giant space crack with his body finally freed from that heavy sense of suppression.

And all of these happened in the twinkling of one's eyes. So fast that he couldn't even react properly as he barely managed to float himself straight up.

As a powerful demi ancient expert, he quickly regained his composure while at the same time changing his set of plans.

If he can seek shelter in such a powerful force like this, then he doesn't have to worry about the empire's lackeys anymore. Anything to ensure his family's safety.

Drifted his gaze towards those enormous eyes up above and respectfully replied while kneeling.

"This junior's name is-"

"I know of who you are. Just state your purpose and I shall hear it"

His words were directly cut off short in between. Sweating a little with his scalp went numb before such a powerful existence.

Though in the next second, he quickly replied.

"I came here to seek shelter for my family. I am willing to pay any price for it. "

"Then so be it. I will accept your plea. And this seat already knows how you were able to reach this place. It was a woman with fiery red hair no?"

"T-this... Yes, Senior. This Junior did come here to find that expert."

"Then I will assign you and your family to serve her. She is somewhere around the mountain area."

"Yes, thank you very much, Senior. I am willing to work under that expert!"

Vince hurriedly thanked the mysterious existence with his head bowing down.
