Chapter 23 - Awakening II

Bonnie felt the thick aura emanating from her nephew's room.

During the past few weeks, she saw Cyril working hard with his Martial Arts and various things.

This made her determined to work harder and practice her Awakened Aura again.

She had decided that once Cyril became one of the Awakened, she would like to teach him how to control his Aura and perhaps, become a better Arcane Explorer if he wanted to.

She felt that he will become a D-Rank or C-Rank base on his impressive talents.

'This... His Awakening is taking long… Did he actually Awakened to B or A-Rank?'

Bonnie had an ominous feeling. Once you are Awakened at that level, your Aura would be harder to control, and thus, it will cause trouble to your surroundings.

At this point, she's already considering whether she should contact the Awakened Association so they could come quickly and help him instead.

She's only an F-Rank Awakened so she felt that there was no way for her to help him if he's really on a very high rank.

'What should I do?' She started getting anxious as the aura inside the room wasn't calming down.

At this moment, Cyril is probably trying to gain control of his aura and hide it on his body…

This will not be easy as there are 5 stages to complete this process… and this is only just to hide their dangerous Aura. That's right, this process wasn't to completely master their Aura.

This is why there's a saying that it's normal to have 10 days just to learn the Aura Control and 10 years to master the Aura Manipulation.

Hiding your Aura and manipulating them freely is different.

'I took eight days to control my Aura… He should be able to do it in less than a week. I hope nothing dangerous happens. I'll just call the Association if he already exhausted his energy…'

Luckily, there are only the two of them within the house so there's no problem even if Cyril couldn't control his aura for weeks.

He wouldn't just be allowed to go outside until he can hide his Aura…

'Very well… I'll just ensure that no one disturbs you.'

She finally calmed down after she analyzed their situation. There's no point calling the Awakened Association now since the young man was still busy attempting to control it. They couldn't just disturb him while he's doing it.

She decided to just discuss it later with him after his first attempt.

"I did it!"

As soon as she was about to leave and return to her bed, she heard his nephew's celebration inside his room.

She used his Aura to sense her surroundings and indeed, she found out that Cyril has completely hidden his Aura!

What kind of talent is this?!

As soon as Cyril opened his eyes, he quickly checked his timer…

'Whoa! That's fast!'

It only took him three minutes and five seconds to hide his Aura!

'Haha… Time traveling is the best…'

If he did this inside the safe locations of the Association and recorded his first attempt, he would surely become a celebrity!

However, this is not what he wanted. He doesn't want to greatly affect the future aside from the evil or extremely bad things that will happen in this timeline.

If he became a celebrity, it may affect many people and cause some kind of unwanted butterfly effect which he read somewhere.

The time when people will find the purple crystals might change… The prices of Artifacts may even change, or perhaps, he might become a target of assassinations that he doesn't want to deal with…

He must become strong without greatly affecting the timeline. He will do it to the best of his ability but if he really can't avoid changing things, he can still accept it as long as it will benefit him.

After all, he already has plans to change many things in the future for his life's sake…

"Hmm… Your Aura is very well hidden, Contractor… You can start enjoying your life now as an Awakened. I'm sure you wanted to experience many things. You can ask them now~"

Xagan started goading him again.

However, he is right. He has a lot of things he needs to do but the thing is that he has to take care of the lesser healing potions first.

His plans about the potions were simple, he doesn't want them to be public yet…

He needs to earn as much as he can to purchase an Artifact…

Considering that he can steal an A-Rank Artifact for 1 year and 6 months, he can already tell that getting an S-Rank Artifact would probably cost more than half of his remaining lifespan… or even more than his current life…

After earning from selling the potions, he plans to buy whatever Artifact he can get with that money and start grinding in the Arcane World.

He quickly wore a set of clean clothes and when he was about to go out, he finally realized that his Aunt was just outside his room!

He didn't notice her at all as he was too busy thinking many things!
