Cyril wasn't in the mood to provoke this child in front of him.

He can feel that Leon is very competitive and if he probably decided to say something to him, he wouldn't be surprised if Leon decided to challenge him into a duel.

That would be very annoying.

Anyway, he glanced at Leon's item and noticed that he also has a C-Rank set of armors… However, the one that he has is obviously better in quality compared to the one that Cyril has.

It means that he probably didn't get this from the Association but from his backer.

Aside from that, Cyril actually recognized one of the swords he brought out!

'Soul-Ripping Blade?'Cyril was shocked to see such a desirable sword in front of him.

Though he wasn't an expert with the sword, this Soul-Ripping Blade is actually a decent Artifact against Vampires!

Vampires possess a terrifying ability to regenerate as long as they have reserved energy or if they managed to consume blood.

They can even be considered immortal at this point.

There are only a few methods to kill them and using this Soul-Ripping Blade is one of them.

Leon smugly looked at everyone as soon as he showed all of his items. With such a good set of weapons, those Metal Wolves, Hobgoblins, and Spriggans wouldn't cause too much trouble on him as long as he has good swordsmanship skills.

Soon, Cyril revealed his items.

The C-Rank Set he acquired, the Ulf Light Armor, Ulf Light Bracer, Ulf Light Boots, and his Ulf Short Sword. Then, it was followed by his Traceless Scarf, his Goblin Musket and pouches of bullets, his Luck Token, his Runed Boomerang, and finally, his five Red Goblin Daggers.

His items are seemingly lackluster compared to Leon's swords, armor, knives, and gauntlet that exudes power and luxury.

Nevertheless, Cyril was already satisfied with these.

Though he doesn't have a Rank-B sword or blade, he has a Rank-C Short Sword and the Musket that should be classified now as peak Rank-D Artifact after the Old Crafter fixed it.

He's confident that this is already more than enough in this Arcane World.

In truth, he's also a bit worried that the experts would realize that he's an S-Rank Awakened if he fought too much with his physical abilities.

He might unknowingly reveal his powerful Aura if he engaged in close-ranged battles.

However, with his Musket, he doesn't need to worry about such problems. As for his daggers, he's planning to even use them as his expendable throwing daggers. He can get so many of them in the Red Goblin World anyway.

Nevertheless, Allan, who was checking the items he brought noticed that his weapons seems to be lacking for this exploration.

"Cyril… Are you sure that you only want to bring these weapons?" The expert asked. He doesn't seem to be too concerned and only wanted to hear his confirmation.

Leon also glanced at his items but he didn't look at them for too long as if he disdained looking at such a terrible item combination.

"Yes. I'm fine with this." Cyril answered.

"Alright… I didn't find any problems with them. As long as you're confident, you can use them inside the Arcane."

As soon as they finished inspecting everyone's weapons, the door of the briefing room opened.

"Ohh… Are you guys not done yet? Let's enter the Arcane World now!"

Vanessa invited as if they will be going on a vacation. However, she's no longer wearing her elegant black dress but she's still enchanting with her combat suit. It feels like she belongs to the army at this point.

'It's the highest grade Modified Combat Suit Artifact… As expected of the president's daughter.' Cyril mused as he saw the beautiful lady.

"Alright… We're done here anyway. Let's go."

The three experts agreed with her words as they were soon brought to another facility where the Entrance Crystal is located.

Once they finished wearing their equipment, they entered a huge room surrounded by thick special alloy. This is in case they brought something out of the Arcane World that could result in trouble.

Anyway, Cyril wasn't too surprised as he was already used to the view. However, this is not the same for the other recruits.

"This place is heavily fortified…"

"Why are they guarding it too much?"

"Tsk… Isn't that obvious? They are of course worried that the Entrance Crystals might be stolen."

"These crystals aren't just expensive but they are all extremely rare and valuable."

The recruits started talking with each other.

"Well, you guys are correct. This is to protect the Entrance Crystal. However, this is also to prevent any unwanted foreign objects or matters from leaving this room. There has been a weak curse-like disease which haunted the country before and this is just one of the many ways to stop it from happening again." Vanessa enthusiastically said.

The recruits can only nod as they were instructed recalling the stories about the plague they heard when they are young. They were then ordered to stick together since they will be moving to the Arcane World at the same time.

There's only a total of 18 people entering this world.

The 9 recruits, the 3 expert Arcane Explorers, Vanessa Strauss, and five of her bodyguards. As for Valerie, she would be entering the Arcane World as well but it will be a bit later since she still has to finish some of her works in the office.

"We're going in…" Allan said as he gazed all over the recruits.

Whoosh!

They were all covered by his Aura as he triggered the purple crystal's power to open the void…

It took only five seconds before they were blinded by a bright light as they arrived inside the Arcane World…

They are on top of a hill as they overlook the vast forest surrounded by a mountain range… They could see a lake, waterfall, and a gorge from afar!

"Whoaa~ This place looks beautiful…"

"True! I'm expecting a dark and gloomy atmosphere."

"Yeah… Something like a red sky, tall dark grass, crows in the sky, and stormy weather from a distance…"

"Haha! You guys are too imaginative. We won't be sending you to a cruel Arcane World right from the start. Don't worry, if you gain a good result here, you will surely be invited by many teams that are capable of exploring these gloomy Arcane Worlds you're talking about…"

Vanessa replied with her enchanting voice.

"Everyone, as we have discussed, we will give you eight hours to explore this Arcane World and find anything valuable to collect. Whatever those are, it will be yours once the given time ended… Now, go!" Freymann announced as he allowed the recruits to move.

The group of nine recruits didn't move immediately as they first looked at each other...

It is not prohibited to create a group for this exploration or to move alone. They can decide however they want to explore the Arcane World as long as they will not return here until the time limit.

They have to survive in this seemingly peaceful world for eight hours.

Nevertheless, moving alone doesn't seem to sound right. After all, most of them would have today as their first exploration, they are nervous and wanted to have someone on their back.

Soon, four groups were formed under the watch of the experts from the Association.

Leon, the B-Rank Awakened aside from Cyril, took Mark, a D-Rank, as his subordinate.

Then, the siblings actually decided to split up and formed their own teams…

Eron took a couple of D-Rank Awakened in his team. They are Charlton and Nicholas who seemed to be friends with each other.

On the other hand, Evalia teamed up with the buff D-Rank Bogart… After the two teamed up, the others noticed that they seemed to know each other. Bogart is probably her acquaintance.

"Eron… This exploration will be boring… Let's compete! The one with the lowest number of treasures would give half of it to the highest person!" Evalia taunted her sibling.

"Haha! Fine! Let's do that…"

As soon as they decided, they immediately left the hill and went on a different path…

Leon then looked at Cyril…

'What, you also want to compete?' Cyril thought as soon as he saw the man's gaze. However, it seems that he still underestimated this person's foolishness.

"Cyril… Since we're both B-Rank Awakened, this exploration should be easy for both of us… However, you don't have a piece of good equipment. These D-Ranks have better weapons than you… You probably do not have any experience as well. Since I'm your senior, I will help you out! If you bow down to me and call me your master, I will let you join my team!"

Leon said with his arrogant face. He has short black hair and a tattoo on his neck… It wasn't visible a while ago but after removing his jacket and wearing his armor, the dragon tattoo can now be seen.

This young man was arrogant but the Aura emitting in his body shows that he has the right to be.

'Aaahhh… I met a few of these guys when I was still a porter…' Cyril felt nostalgic seeing this crazy man.

He glanced at the three experts and Vanessa as he tried to think how he should deal with this person…

However, his glance was misinterpreted by Leon.

"Ha! Are you going to cry and ask for their help now?! Haha! You're easily frightened than I've thought."

"Haha! It's natural, Master Leon… Even if he's a B-Rank, I'm sure he hasn't experienced exploring an Arcane World yet. He must be considering whether he should accept in front of the experts… Why don't we offer it again to him after going down this hill, so he wouldn't be too shy to bow down, right?" Mark, Leon's new lackey, said with an evil smile.

Cyril was speechless at these two as they seemed to be very capable of provoking people.

Nevertheless, Cyril decided to calm down.

'He's just a child… Just a child… I'm 14 years older than him.' Cyril reminded himself.

However, he knows that he shouldn't tolerate such behavior as well.

"You don't have to provoke me, Leon… We'll just see the result later. Just be careful on your way."

Cyril said as he gave them a threatening look…

Unfortunately, his gaze doesn't seem to be too effective as the two just laughed it off.

"Alright! We'll see to it! If I got the most treasures, you'll call me your Master!" Leon then left the hill with Mark without waiting for his reply.

'Haa~ Maybe you've died so early with that attitude so I couldn't recall your name at all.'

Cyril thought as he decided not to think of this person anymore. It will just make his blood boil!
