Chapter 102 - High-Class Crystal

"Cyril! You finally returned!"

Bonnie exclaimed as soon as she saw her nephew. Only a week had passed but she still felt like it was such a long time.

She had always wanted to ask Cyril about some tips from concocting potion but he wasn't present during her critical time of studying.

In the end, she can only trust herself and and find some references online since no one could teach her.

Cyril could only apologize as he also didn't expect that it would take him such a long time to assimilate with the Bead Artifact.

Luckily, Valerie contacted Bonnie about his situation and made her feel that Cyril is not in any danger at all.

The two then took some time to catch up before Bonnie mentioned about the Auction that was about to happen in a few days.

"An Auction near here?"

"Yes… It will be in a prestigious hotel and all C-Rank and above are invited. I also learned that they can bring someone with them so I can join you… Hehe…"

Cyril then visited his Crystal Room as he's planning to harvest the ores mined by the goblins and convert it to money again.

However, he noticed another purple crystal lying on the table! The aura being emitted is even extremely strong!

Cyril was shocked!

He first thought that it was found by his Aunt but it would be weird that she didn't mention it to him. Since it's just carelessly placed on the table, it doesn't even seem like a present…

Before he could ask Bonnie, he suddenly heard the alluring voice of his new servant.

"Sir Cyril… I found it about three blocks away from here… Kekeke… Do you like it?" Magenta said as soon as she saw how surprised Cyril was.

The young man looked behind him only to see the black cat curled on the floor.

"Huh? Tell me everything? Where did you pick this?"

Cyril felt worried. He doesn't know whether Magenta caused trouble. This entrance crystal is obviously too precious and many people would sell their family just to acquire one.

After all, this is extremely expensive. If a normal person who doesn't dream of exploring the Arcane World sold this, he would have enough money to spend the rest of his life.

In short, anyone would covet such crystal and if someone saw the cat taking it, it would bring a lot of trouble to Cyril and Bonnie.

"I'm good, right? So how about decreasing the time I'll be serving you?" The demoness finally revealed her true reason for taking the crystal.

However, Cyril felt better that this demoness has such plans after all. If the demoness said that she just want to make Cyril happy or she wanted to give it to him as a thank you gift for making her a servant, he would never believe it.

But since she requested to lessen the duration of her contract, it is more believable for him.

"Fine! A high-class Arcane World is indeed extremely precious. I don't mind removing 1 year in the duration… However, you can't do this again without notifying me or unless you're extremely confident to take it without anyone noticing… We can't let anyone know about their existence or it will bring us endless troubles."

"Of course, Sir Cyril. I will do as you say."

Cyril then continued his plan to visit the Red Goblins to collect the ores they've mined in the past week.

He took a total of 5 bags of Star Garnet Stones and 5 bags of Redprite Ores…

On the next day, Cyril is planning to sell them to the black market only to be contacted by Director Staub from Aeson Company.

"Ahh… Right, I still have to help them…"

Cyril recalled his promise to the director as he quickly visited the company in the morning.

There, he was introduced to five Awakened who seem to have studied the Elven Language.

"I'm Lucien Juncker and this is my team. We've been studying the books about the Elven Runes for a while now and we have reached an impasse… We could no longer advance and we only learned how to create two kinds of level 2 Runes.

Lucien spoke as he sized up Cyril. He heard from Director Staub that the young man in front of him wasn't just a high-ranked Awakened but also an expert in Elven Language capable of communicating with the mysterious race.

He wanted to test his limit.
