Chapter 161 - New Shop

Cyril arrived at the Aeson Company and was greeted by Lucien, the Elven Language Expert that the company hired.

"It's been a while, Sir Cyril. Director Eduard couldn't come today but he mentioned to me that you might visit so he already told me all the concerns he wanted your help with."

Lucien said after bringing Cyril to a reception room. He's wearing his laboratory clothes and he seemed to be studying the elven crafts before coming to see him.

"I see… What's the problem this time?" Cyril asked as he looked around the room. He didn't notice any other people so it seemed that they are quite busy now.

"Ugh, before that, may I ask what happened to your face? As you know, we've also been studying the potions made by the elves, we might be able to help you with your problem."

Lucien then pointed at Cyril's left eye. It's quite obvious that he was blind since he's not using a mask to hide it.

"Well, something happened. I entered a dangerous Arcane World on my own. It's a lesson for me. Anyway, just tell me the problem in this Elven World."

"Oh… Alright then. I won't be wasting your time. Well, you see, it seems that the elves are starting to take more things than we expected. The director is worried that they are plotting something. After all, it feels like they are preparing to go out of their Arcane World!"

Lucien then explained how the elves are acting during the past few weeks.

However, contrary to his expectations, Cyril wasn't surprised!

After all, he's the one who promised these elves to help them go outside of their Arcane World!

It was only natural that they would make preparations on their own like gathering resources and of course, obtaining information about the human world!

'I guess they're really looking forward to that promise. I can't let them down then. As soon as I found a safe way to bring them out, I'll immediately let them know.'

Cyril thought.

Well, he already discovered some of the secrets of the Outbreak… He learned that it will only happen to an unstable Arcane World or when it's about to be destroyed.

That is obviously not the safest way to bring someone out of their world. Nevertheless, Cyril is not giving up on this.

He knows that there are still a lot of things that he needed to learn.

"Don't worry about them. They're not planning to revolt or something." Cyril then explained that the elves just wanted to find their way back to the mainland or where the Elf King and Queen reside.

Lucien easily believed his story considering that they're already aware of the elves' story.

"So they're just trying to find their way back home or something?"

"Yes. However, I don't think that they're planning to do this in such a short time. Perhaps they'll make 1 to 2 years of preparation for this so you don't have to be too concerned."

"Ugh… I guess you're right. Moving hundreds of elves at once is not easy. They've also created a decent community there. It won't be easy for them to leave and go on a journey."

Lucien nodded after hearing Cyril's sound explanation.

"That's good. Right, Director Eduard also said that you can take some of the recent Rune Emblem we made. It would be great if you can give us feedback after using them."

"Yes… You can say that they are limited-use Artifacts that we developed using Elven's Rune Technology. It's easier if I showed them instead so here, have a look."

Lucien then pulled out a small emblem made of special wood. There is an Elven Rune engraved on it that says Protection.

"This is a Tier 1 Protection Rune. It can defend against magic or abilities cast by Rank-D Artifacts. Though it can also defend against Rank-C, it might use up all the energies contained in the rune. Normally, it could last 4 to 5 times. It's quite decent in my opinion."

"Oh… Incredible! So you already made them! That was fast!"

"Eh? I guess you're already expecting us to do this, huh…"

"Ah… oh… Right… I just thought that you'll be able to maximize the Elven Runes a lot better with your intelligence. Anyway, may I ask what Rune Emblem I can take with me?"

Cyril excitedly asks, he knows this item very well since he had been watching people use these things from time to time when he was still a Helper.

However, since he was an F-Rank before, he could only watch them since he didn't have enough money to purchase such luxury.

Aside from that, with his pitiful amount of Aura as an F-Rank before, he only has enough Aura to use an Artifact that allows him to carry baggage a lot easier and for his movement speed.

But it's different now, his Aura reserves are larger and the quality is even better. It means that he might not even have to use 1% of his S-Rank Aura to activate this emblem!

Soon, Cyril left the building carrying a total of 20 Elven Rune Emblems of different types. Aside from that, he was also told to give some feedback about this since this is not yet being released to the public.

The Aeson Company seems to be planning to release them once they already developed a Tier 2 Rune Emblems which should happen in the next 3 to 4 months.

Cyril then called it a day and returned home.

On the next day, he decided to visit the Black Market again to purchase some Artifacts. He was notified by Britta through his Aunt Bonnie that there's a recently opened shop that he might want to check in the Ascension City.

This new shop sells quite a lot of decent Artifact and he might find something that could help the Vestroth Clan.

Right now, Cyril has a total of 8 Sealed Artifacts where five Corruptors and three Immolators are currently sealed.

Unsealing them requires time so he decided to just find more Artifacts for these demons so they can already get out of their unstable Arcane World as it might help slow down its destruction.

Of course, it is not proven that taking them out of the Arcane World will truly slow down its impending destruction. However, it is suggested by Demoness Selma after discussing it with their Harbinger Ancestors.

It didn't take long before Cyril arrived at a cheap hotel in Versailles City. Of course, this is not just a normal hotel but it has a Modified Entrance Crystal connected to the Black Market.

"Oh… It's been a while. There are a lot more people here than before." Cyril muttered after seeing the crowded city.

He is currently using his Identity Shroud Mask to hide his blind eye and not to get too much attention.

Of course, Bonnie was already aware of his current situation as well. He was scolded for a bit because of this but after explaining that he knows a method to get healed, she decided to trust him instead.

"Fantasy Weapon Shop… It should be around here."

Cyril muttered while looking around the streets. The name of the newly built Artifact Store is indeed the Fantasy Weapon Shop.

It shouldn't be a large store but there should be a lot of people walking in and out of it right now.

Soon, Cyril found a huge crowd of people. He immediately followed their direction and soon found the shop he was looking for.

The shop only has about 40 sqm so it was indeed not that big and only a few people can get in at a time.

Nevertheless, there's still a lot of people patronizing them due to various reasons.

'Ugh… There are too many customers, can they even sell that many Artifacts?'

Cyril thought as he looked around. There should be about a hundred customers waiting right now.

Then, he heard the conversation of the other patrons and realized how good this store was.

"I heard that they already have supplies of Death Knight's Armor!"

"That's true. Only a few days had passed and they already have them again. I wish they have plenty of Death Knight's Swords."

"Hmph… As long as they still have some Skeleton Mage's Staff, it doesn't matter if they have Death Knight's Armor and Swords."

"What? Why would you want their staff, isn't better to purchase Elven Mage's Staff instead."

"Haha… It's a matter of taste. Just look how cool those things are. The Elven Staff is just some branch. It's doesn't look good at all."

Based on their conversations, Cyril could guess that the Fantasy Weapon Store has some kind of connection to an Undead Arcane World.

Since they've mentioned the Skeleton Mage and Death Knight, it means that it should be a mid-class Arcane World.

However, Cyril still felt a bit excited!

The Death Knights may be nothing compared to the Doom Knights of the High-Class Undead Arcane World, but they are definitely very useful even for an S-Rank like him!
