Chapter 153 - The Snow Of Winter Alfheim#4

LIGHT'S POV:-

'Dumb,' I couldn't help but think in that way as I observe the girl in front of me. She is strong enough to handle those monsters that were following her, yet she took the risk and chose the 'most appropriate' path, which only ended up resulting in her near death experience.

Currently, we are cooking detoxified demonic meat. Having Lilith, an angel, with us made it easier for us to deal with such things.

Honestly, no matter how curious we were about her life and the existence of Angels, respecting her privacy, we did not ask her any questions related to it. All we knew was that Aether had accepted her and since we trust Aether, we should trust his judgements too.

Looking at her crazily observing the boiling food, I couldn't help but wonder if all the Angels are as crazy as her.

'It's as if she has two personalities living in the same body, how odd.' I think as I look at her before realising that I wasn't any different with Dark and Aether living in my body. A wry smile forms on my face, realising how idiotic my thoughts are.

I then move towards the unconscious Novelve, and pour some of my mana into her, resulting in her waking up slowly and comfortably. Since Lilith and Yavanna have already healed her, all I need to do is to make sure she remains calm and collected enough to tell us her current situation. I observe her for a few moments as she wakes up and then looks around in search of something before her eyes get fixated on….food.

".." I really have no words to speak as I look at her. She sensing my gaze looks at me before finally realising her situation and speaking in a slow voice,

"Can I have some of your food?"

'Is she really dumb?' I think before sighing and then looking at the food, which was almost prepared. I then pondered over all the important points and gave a really deep thought to what I should do next. After thinking really hard about it, I finally came to a conclusion and spoke.

"I am not giving you my share of the food. Ask someone else."

I then stood up and moved from there, leaving her with a half open mouth that wanted to speak something and a dumbfounded expression that still hasn't digested what I told her.

'Food is priority,' I think as I get towards the food and take up my share.

Slowly and slowly everyone else moved to take their share, and no one bothered to ask that girl if she wanted to eat. Well..there was one person who felt pity on the new girl and that person moved towards the Novelve and spoke in a slightly slow manner.

"You can have some of mine."

"An Angel?!!" The Novelve spoke with stars glittering in her eyes and Yavanna spoke as she pointed at Lilith,"That's her."

Confused at her words, the Novelve looked at Lilith, who was wildly eating her food and wondered what Yavanna meant. She then looked back at Yavanna with an expression that really demanded an explanation.

"It's nothing. Just eat," Yavanna sighed with a wry smile on her face before walking back with her share of food that she saved after giving some to the Novelve.

Everyone ate the food with pure bliss as they filled their stomach. The Novelve had an ecstatic expression, as if she was in heaven. I looked at her and then sighed before moving closer to and asking,

"Care to tell us about your situation?"

"No!" she answered with a glare before looking at Yavanna, signifying that she would only answer her. I observed her carefully before sighing and signalling Yavanna to ask her the questions.

Yavanna moves and asks,"Tell me who you are and what is your purpose in being here?"

'Not that direct, Yavanna…well, whatever.' I sigh as I think that I could have done it much better had the situation allowed me to. I took up a mouthful of water as all these things were making me a bit thirsty.

"I am Silvian, the third princess of Winter Alfhei-"

"Pftttt- cough cough….Wha..what did you just say?" My eyes widened as I thought that I heard wrong what she was saying. I had to confirm the whole thing again. This time I concentrated on her words as she speaks with a slightly weirded out look.

"Why should I tell that to a creep like you?"

My forehead twitched a bit as I tried my best to keep calm in this situation. I looked at others and they too looked amazed at her words…except Chase who had a bright smile on his face.

'That bastard…sigh..' I think before signalling Yavanna with a respectful smile to continue.

Yavanna then asks," Can you please repeat what you just spoke?"

"Uh um..I am Silvian, the third princess of the Winter Alfheim and King Wington's daughter," she then looks at me, smirks, then looks back at Yavanna who was slightly stupefied as her emotions were in slight turmoil, before continuing her words, " Currently, I am running from a forced marriage which was decided by my parents without my consent. I actually used a random teleportation artifact that had teleported me here, which is in the middle of nowhere and I have been running for the past few days in search of a known path or somewhere that I actually know."

She speaks with a sad smile, briefing about her story. I wanted to ask her about getting unconscious in front of that monster, but I kept quiet as I looked at her.

"Well, we are currently on the outskirts of Winter Alfheim, princess Silvian," Yavanna speaks with a friendly smile as she looks at her but the rest of her facial expression fails to get along with that smile showing how hard she was trying to not be ridiculed in this situation.

'Well…the first part of our quest is over, it seems. Sigh…is it really going to take us to Corey? I wonder…'
