Chapter 110 - 104

Day 2

Lerrent and his team entered the preliminary round and was currently participating in the mini elimination round for the students who passed it.

The silver haired youth predicted what would happen next.

At the moment, the host announced the names that would be participating on this round.

"Lerrent, Han, Rye, Liu Zhe, Wei Yun, Li Zeming, Seong Jin, Lee, Hanyoo, Via, Detrix, Ades."

"This is a group match and the called names came from four continents which were TwinCity, Greatworld, Xenun and Wezzerborn."

The host continued and stated that in every continents had three representing players. This players had roles which were the King, the Knight and the Queen. The knight protects the queen, the queen protects the king and both of them was under the command of the king. As the king was a vulnerable role that needed the protection of the queen while the knight could deal the king but it has no protection towards the move of the queen and the queen could be dealt by the king.

The mechanics of the game was, they needed to possessed the flag of an opposing party in order to colonized them or take over their territory. Whoever has taken over many territories and the last group standing within the time duration of thirty minutes is the winner of the game.

"The title of this game is Chess Players, compounded by our one and only Imperial Strategist Lin with the help of his ȧssistant, Sera."

The said ȧssistant was by the side of Lin, with his blank face and uninterested look. Sera was rumoured to be the next in line strategist as he was an apprentice of Lin.

"Right. Don't forget to protect your king because the king is the most precious piece." The host reminded with his cheery smile.

'As expected.' The silver haired young man thought. Although, she couldn't help but admire once again her star. The infamous strategist had a serene face as he observed the contestants while mentally taking down his future prospects.

Chun with her four students who were not called bid their good luck towards the three as they walked to the simulation room for the game to activate with the other called students.

As she was ȧssured that Lerrent would win this game, she informed the Lith and the others that she would be handling some urgent matters while she excused herself.

While the mini tournament for the intellectual students was being foresee by Lin, there was still the ongoing main event.

Inside the waiting area of the arena where martial practitioners were waiting for their names to be called up for the tournament.

"You're finished?" Mika asked with his gentle smile.

"Yes. After this next round, Anith you will be up."

"I know that, don't remind me."

Anith replied with irritation to his voice to the smirking Ji Ah.

"Good luck then. You have a reward from me," the young lady puckered up her lips indicating something that made the other glare at her.

The tension was rising up as Ji Ah continued to tease the hot-tempered Anith, making the other martial practitioners around them distanced a bit due to a turbulent qi energy around the two while some martial practitioners sneered at this show off students.

Inside this waiting area were just only the martial students were present as the instructors were not yet scheduled to participate in the tournament so fights couldn't be prevented from this hot-blooded youths yet though their handlers could be present, they would not stop any of this fight.

Currently, some hiding teacher was here observing the ruckus. The silver haired young man specifically went here to observe the three demon generals. If Chun hadn't known that they were generals of the Demon King, she would just ȧssumed that they were alike to this arrogant martial students.

Chun unconsciously patted herself as she regretted in the past that she had no foresight from differentiating between good and bad. And as she was given a chance to mend her mistakes, she vowed that she wouldn't repeat the wrong choices she made.

"We are not permitted to cause any ruckus while we are here. Understand?"

This gentle voice made the two shiver a bit, knowing this hypocritical face of their leader.

While they were at it, a Secosana student with a dignified aura from the Zenzen continent interfered. He was a representing leader of their group.

"You are Mika from Slatercort continent, right?"

"Yes." Mika responded with his gentle smile.

"You will be my opponent on the fifth day," the man stated as he raised up his head, looking down the other that made Anith and Ji Ah with their fellow schoolmates burst out in anger.

The smile on Mika widened as he agreed to the other, he knew that this individual would be his opponent on the fifth day as it was drawn in the matched up.

"I will defeat you," the leader of the Secosana Institute declared in his challenging tone that made the already angry opposing party held up their wrath.

Mika stopped the hot-tempered Anith from attacking this overconfident person and answered, "Let's see."

'So this is how it lead to their fight?'

The silver haired young man thought as she started to plan.

Day 3

Early that dawn.

The communicator rang and a smiling young man answered.

"Yes."

"Yes."

"Yes."

"As you wish, Demon King."

The smiling gentleman turned off the call. He then summoned his other comrades in the isolated building where he was standing. Two of his comrades appeared in their hooded black robes, hiding their visage.

"Fourth, are we not going to move yet?" A seductive voice asked.

"The preparation is ready."

"Not yet. We have to adjust first," Fourth replied to them.

"Adjust?"

"Position the portals inside the institute's boundary."

"Got it."

"When do we move?"

"The day after tomorrow."

"This is what happened."

Titus reported the event as the silver young man was meditating on her bed.

Recently, the deity who was living in the silver box was able to freely move out of from it as he stated to Chun that it was because the master of the silver box was more powerful now. Though, Chun felt that the deity of Prevalent Tragedy was hiding something from her but she decided to let it be as she knew that the truth would unveil itself and if not, she's good on discovering secrets.

The clueless deity felt chills on his back as he obediently reported the next plan of the demon generals.

"Alright. About this, I remembered that you have the heart of Drakkuna. What are you going to do with it?"

Chun was curious to this sly deity as she observed the smiling man. That smile seemed so elegant but the silver haired young man knew it very well.

"Let's say that my pet will be back."

Chun frowned at hearing that ridiculous statement as she said, "So you're planning to recreate another Great War?"

The silver haired young man knew that the indestructible black dragon was the caused of the Great War from six hundred years ago as five factions clashed against each other and looking from the master of the horrifying Drakkuna, he might be one of those masterminds of the war.

"I may be greedy and full of deceit but I'm not that bored to start another war and my pet Drakkuna is something more obedient than any other pet." Titus justified as he went back to the silver box, he was still cultivating the big black egg in the space and proper care was needed for his good dragon to grow back to it former glory.

'Well, he admitted it though.'

Sometimes, Chun thought that deity might have a loose screw as he wouldn't deny any hideous things that he did and he would proudly announced it to her which wasn't really relevant to the other. And what was more irritating was, when Chun would ask something critical, the deity would suddenly ȧssumed mysteriousness and talked words of wisdom that sometimes Chun needed to figure out.

'Right, talking about pet. Where is that couch potato?'

The piercing glare of the silver haired young man turned to the attached hanging nest, as lately, the Thundra would be lazing around on his nest bed after eating which made him to be a lazy fat ball.

"Xiao Fen! I never thought that a legendary thunder bird like you would end up like this, if I had known I shouldn't---"

Guessing the words of the young master, the lazy white fat ball immediately awaken from his comfortable lying as he denied, "No, don't regret your decision, my beloved Chun-ni master! I'm still the most powerful bird."

The Thundra was about to transform to its humongous original form when Chun stopped him before her penthouse could be destroyed.

"Well, the most powerful thunder bird should get back from being useful then."

Xiao Fen who was rubbing its fluffy self to the silver haired youth to appease the other instantly agreed as he declared that he would fulfill at his most ability whatever Chun would ask.

"Then you will be the star for the show tomorrow!"
