Chapter 120 - 113

The silver haired young man released a sigh of relief as her performance was over.

'Too much playing.'

Chun decided to act now. In order to secure her spot as a second year member of the Circus, she must get relevant information.

-----

Earlier before Chun possessed the body.

Capital city, Xiu Royal household.

In the palace within the inner chambers of the royal family, a young man with tinges of silver white hair on its fringes of his raven black hair, was trembling from his sleep. He suddenly got up in while chasing for his breath.

He felt his ċhėst as he was scared by the sensation of being stabbed by a sword. This nightmare of being stabbed was kept repeating every night on his sleep after he woke up from coma.

He was shocked at first when he knew about that he was in coma for three years and the most surprising part was he had no memories on his identity, his family and everything. Even walking was taught to him as he was like a baby after waking up.

He couldn't even understand their language, don't know how to talk, read and write. He was like basically, a baby a year ago but he learned it all in one-go as he was a fast learner.

The doctor diagnosed him with an abnormal kind of amnesia that led him of forgetting even the basic way of living.

Like he was a new person, a reborn.

The Xiu Royal Family took care of him and he was grateful to it and planning to repay them, someday.

But there was someone who was pestering him everyday because she was a member of the royal family that he was thankful with, he couldn't get rid of her.

She was Third Princess Xiu Ying and she claimed that they were lovers. That made him thought in disbelief as he looked at Xiu Ying, she was very beautiful that he couldn't believe having a lover like this.

He just accepted it, numbly even though in his mind, he was vigilant about them. He had no memories so it's natural to have no trust at anyone.

Three resounding knocks came from the other side of the door.

"Zero! Are you awake?" A soft and mild voice asked from the other side of the door.

It was Xiu Ying.

"Xiu Ying?"

The third princess opened the door and went in. She was wearing her long dress that was obviously her sleeping wear. The third princess' bedroom was located just beside the young man's room so she could easily take care of the amnesiac young man.

"Just call me Ying," she smiled, tenderly, that made Zero flushed and turned away.

"Y-ying."

"That's better."

Xiu Ying patted the man's head and adoringly looked at him.

"Did you have a nightmare, again?"

"Yes. The usual nightmare."

"Hmm."

Xiu Ying responded in a hum as she continued to ċȧrėss Zero's head.

It made the young man blushed and awkward.

Zero decided to stand up from his bed that made the third princess removed her hand on his head as the young man was a head taller to Xiu Ying and spoke, "I'm hungry."

"Alright. Do you want to eat here or in the garden?"

"Garden and don't forget my rose tea!" Zero stated with a smile on his face as the third princess, lovingly smiled back and closed the door.

He started to change from his sleeping wear to a white long sleeve shirt when he got a glimpsed of a piece white robe in the closet. It was a robe that he used as he attended a traditional tea party with the royal family, last month.

He touched the fabric of the white robe and suddenly his head ached from pain, it was like splitting his head.

Zero backed away from the closet and seated himself infront of his desk table while he was massaging his forehead. The episodes of headaches would usually occurred if he felt something familiar or he tried to remember regarding about his identity.

He coincidentally looked at the full-length mirror adjacent to where he was sitting. It reflected his scarlet red eyes. A strange eye color.

After he finished on changing, he folded the sleeves on his shirt up to his forearms.

He combed his hair neatly but still it was messy as he had this untamed hair that would sticked out.

Zero let out a sigh for his raven black hair and played with the silver white fringes of it.

Distracted on his thoughts, a pecking sound from the window snapped him back to reality.

Peck! Peck!

It was a small blue bird that was pecking the window frame. Zero smiled at the small bird's adorableness and opened the window.

As it landed, Zero finally noticed a small piece of folded paper on its leg being tied to it.

"Oh, you have a piece of paper here. Let me remove it."

He removed it and read the paper.

"Are you not going back, Master? -C."

"Huh?---"

Suddenly, Zero felt a piercing headache as picture of unknown scenes kept popping up in his mind. Forcing there way in. The handsome man sensed his trembling as he backed away.

Zero didn't notice that his arm collided with a glass of water on his bedside.

The young man with black raven hair with silver white fringes was sitting on the bed as he massaged his forehead while on the reflected mirror infront if him, it could be noticed that his hair was slowly turning white.

It had the same silver white hue like Chun but it leaned more to a darker shade.

"System."

[Yes, host?] The familiar cold mechanical voice of the system resounded in his mind as he inquired to what happened.

[Ting! Emergency task: Escape from the Xiu Royal Palace within one minute.]

Zero was already used to this sudden pressuring of his system as he calmly stood up from his bed.

"System, what is the reward for this task?"

Zero knew that the system wouldn't respond yet he just wanted to talk to someone due to spending his time in the punishment trial because of the failed mission. He spent his three years there and now that he had awaken, he wanted someone to talk to despite having to talk to this system.

[…]

The black raven haired youth estimated the height of his room while looking through the window. He was fifteem feet high from the ground which was appropriate for him to jump.

[36 seconds remaining.]

She hurried out as she alerted the palace guards.

[Three pursuers at the west wing, two infront and one in the left wing.]

Currently, he was in the west wing which was the shortest way to get through the exit of the royal palace.

Zero wasn't into avoiding them as he waited for the three palace guards to arrived. He used his Cosmic Fire to hinder their path and left them immovable. That was just a small portion of his power as he didn't want to hurt anyone severely.

Seeing an opportunity, the young man immediately escaped while they suffered in his attack.

He successfully got away from them as the system notified him for completion.

[Emergency task completed. Reward partial memory deletion. Going back now.]

Zero had never heard a certain reward about getting your memory wiped out and what did this defected system meant about the word 'partial'?

Before he could complain and refuse the reward, he was sent back to the system space while the body was carried by the system to the new recruits of the Circus. The body had been set in an automatic mode until the proxy would arrive and that was the silver haired young man.

As Zero awaken from his deep slumber in the system space which was in sleep mode due to the host's long absence that caused for it to come back on its original state of blackness, as Chun stumbled upon the floating person in the black space.

Zero didn't remember about escaping from the palace as he only have a recollection to what he had suffered as he died in the Soul Tower. He thought that he could finally leave the space but the system dozed his hope with cold water as he had a task to cultivate for one year here leaving all of his fleeing situation to the silver haired young man.
