Chapter 201 - 188.3

Hurried footsteps resounded through the dark hallways, only the light of the moon was guiding their path.

The silver haired young man and the second prince had successfully escaped the clutched of those Dark Charmers. Thanks to the inteference of the teams who were on the hunt.

They fortunate that they ran upon those participants ȧssigned to look for the Dark Charmers but they didn't chance upon Lemon and the others.

"We should be careful." Feng Zi reminded while they hide at the dark corner of a pillar.

It wasn't sure if those were the only Dark Charmers that were sent to hunt for them as even the information that Lemon had said that there were sighings of a Dark Charmer which he did not specify their numbers. Moreover, the second prince was concerned about them knowing the ninth prince. He needed to inform their Royal Father about this.

"Zi, we're near," Chun said after looking at the map. Their destination was the library because that was the most closest thing that Chun guessed after hearing the hint that the Supreme Ruler had given.

Next thing on the list was looking for the three objects which depended of their judgement.

'Only you know'

'What does it mean?' She pondered on the way to the library building. The silver haired young man expected that the library would be like in Charm Excellence having its own building and her expectation did not let her down.

The door of the library building wasn't lock. Feng Zi was about to touch the knob when the silver haired young man felt a string of energy vaguely directed to the door handle.

Without warning, Chun pulled the second prince while they stayed away from the door. At the same time, she kicked a pebbled towards it and as if trigerred, it blasted off. Bringing an earth shattering sound.

BANG!

If Chun weren't perceptive enough then the 'thing' that had been blasted off was the second prince. Meanwhile, Feng Zi shivered from that brutal outcome while he rubbed the dust particled that stuck onto his face.

Etched on his face were astonishment and fear. The silver haired young man sighed, knowing that she would had that similar expression if she was in that position a minute ago.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

A familiar figure appeared near the blast, Chun saw the person and her eyes steeled. It was no surprise if this person had an opposite task which was against them.

The dishevelled appearance of Fu Chen sported a languid and lazy charm on him. Not caring with mundane things, if not for being the mastermind of that explosion. Chun would believe that he was just a passerby.

"What are you doing?!" There was anger in the eyes of the second prince. He was the first to break the intense atmosphere but with a grim face, he wouldn't let this person go.

According to the Intercompetition's rules and regulations. Fu Chen just violated it, observing that trap. It would certainly blow an individual into pieces.

As if not caring about the tornament, Fu Chen shrugged and said, "I knew you would be able to escape that small trick."

His tone was confident but still his usual way of speaking of being slured and dragging made it look like provoking the other with that sarcastic remark.

Fu Chen glanced at the silver haired young man with an underlying meaning while the vigilant second prince blocked his stare as he hide Chun behind him.

Assuming the gaze of the former was being malicious to his Ninth Brother. It wouldn't be good if Chun got hurt while in his care. He would not be let off by his siblings and he would be ashamed to face the ninth prince in the future.

Which he decided, "Chun, you go while I'll deal with him."

The silver haired young man looked at the second prince with hesitation. Reluctant to leave but due to the other's firm gaze, she acquiesced.

"Then I'll leave it to you!" She then left.

The dishevelled looking young man waited for the silver haired young man to leave which surprised the second prince. He thought that the other's task was to stop them from fulfilling their mission but it doesn't seemed so…

Fu Chen sensed his relief which made his lazy expression had a hint of light. Couldn't wait for his surprise to be discovered.

Noticing the strange expression that the youth had been plastered on his face, Feng Zi had a foreboding feeling. He was about to follow Chun but an attack stopped his foot from taking another step.

"Hmm." Fu Chen just hummed with a displeased expression. Not liking that the other was putting his nose to another's business while not finishing his own matters.

The second prince turned to the culprit and calmed himself from acting mindlessly.

"Alright. I'll be your opponent."

"Good."

He hoped that the silver haired young man could hold on until he finished this person.

Fu Chen knew what he was thinking. He smirked to himself, deciding to vent his misgivings from the first princess with the second prince as they were siblings.

It might be evident but this nonchalant youth was quite vengeful if he wanted to and he would be just playing with the second prince.

'And as of for that ninth prince, it's not yet their time.'

-----------

"Captain, are you alright?" Berry was concerned to the 'injury' of the captain. Between them and the second prince, he was more aware of Eliza's injury.

The injury was gained years ago when the long black haired girl encountered a Dark Charmer during her patrol. She was still a Guard-in-training back then before she got her high position.

That past injury had been a bane in Eliza's career, she was supposed to be the commander of the Guards after graduating but due to it, even before graduation, she went to the position of the Acting Master which was like a manager to the Guards with the highest authority but still Berry couldn't help but remember her valiant figure at that time.

Berry heard that months ago that Eliza had been exposed to dark energy because one of the first year was on the process of turning into a Dark Charmer, luckily it didn't happen…but still..

This was the one of the rare moments of having the strawberry haired youth worked up. He was too worried for the captain, knowing the unfavorable situation of the doubles segment.

Eliza maintained her expressionless face and answered that she was fine. Although, she would sometimes tremble a bit because of the fluctuations of dark energy. Her steadied herself while looking at their current opponent.

Before the segment started, the coordinators informed them that they shouldn't be worried by their teammates outside.

Even without divulging anything, they knew that the task that was given wasn't simple. Lemon left in a hurry with Notalie and Lollipop which he forgot to inform the captain about the task yet they had a knowledge what was it.

From the frequent fluctations of dark energy, the Alliance darkened their gazes. The other teams weren't that clueless as well, the dark energies were too strong not to be ignored.

The coordinators reassured them that the Royal Family was also helping which settled them but it didn't meant that they should be slacking off with the current segment.

"Captain, let me do it." with his decisive tone, the strawberry haired young man drew in his arms and crackling bolts of purple currents travelled in both of his arms.

Their opponents were surprised to the passive person a while ago.

Looking at the familiar purple lightning, the shorter youth grabbed his teammates at they distanced themselves.

"Brother, that's…"

"Warring Thunder!" His so-called brother finished his statement with surprised in their faces. Even the teams who weren't on the field while watching the match between the Alliance and the Redforth, they were astounded to witness that familiar purple lightning.

The old members of each teams had a tacit understanding while the newbies and the seemed to new ones were unaware as they asked the others.

They got this same reply, "We almost forgot 'him'. He's only second to the Alliance Captain when it came to aggressiveness."

The newbies could only frowned while looking at the strawberry haired youth who had a sleepy face earlier.

Before all of this happened.

Li Tao and Jiang Chi were the remarkable pair of the Redforth team from Stone Academy of Cyan Continent.

Last tournament, they had almost beaten the Alliance by a slight margin of points during the doubles segment as they had miscalculated their move but now, they wouldn't let another slip up.

Eliza was the most familiar of their offences and defences which she was able to hold out until then and she was confident that she could overwhelmed these two as they couldn't be compared to the Chang Brothers when it came to coordination but she didn't think that her injury would act up for a littke traces of dark energy.

She had told Berry that she could handle it he ȧssist by the side. She had considered that it would be a burden to the latter to keep up with her so she wanted to take them all but she overestimated herself.

They slowly being overwhelmed by the Redforth team. The pair with flashy attacks was closed to performing a show and they thought that the show was about to end with bouquet of flowers to their path yet the moment that purple currents appeared, they felt pressured.

Warring Thunder wasn't easily to be forgotten.
