Chapter 203 - (DO NOT UNLOCK. JUST AN ERROR)

Chun breathed in and out. She was inside the library and started to look the three objects that they needed to find but while on it, she was overwhelmed to the high-rised bookshelves that were displayed in her sight.

She forgot that libraries in elite schools were too huge and thousands of books would be here. But that wasn't the point, in the hint that was given to them. It didn't state about the objects being a book but she was still confused.

The silver haired young man went to the librarian's cubicle where the students would usually go to borrow a book. Maybe, she could find a clue there.

Turning the pages one by one. Chun skimmed through the book registry. There were written names of the students who borrowed books and she immediately turned to the latest register.

…..Name / Book(s) / Date…..

Feron - The Fool's Demise - Spring/23rd/xxxx

'Surely, there is a clue.'

However, she didn't expect that the lead could conclude some of her speculations. Feron was the name of one of the coordinators and there were three of them then it meant that the other two objects could be in-line with those other two.

"23rd of Spring, xxxx. The Fool's Demise. Feron."

The date written was the same as the current date which meant that this was the right clue that Chun was looking for. And the 'The Fool's Demise' was obviously a book but which book?

There were many bookshelves to start with and the silver haired young man couldn't delay on finding those objects, knowing that there was a duration.

"Host, you're smart."

Xuan might be silent the whole time but he was always there spectating.

The silver haired young man didn't turn to where the snobbish system was located while she said, "Can you confirm that the duration time of this is by dawn?"

"Yes. The closing of the library is until dawn then you can go back after 12 hours. So for within one week, there would be no daylight but the time still continues to run."

Chun was looking through the other notes of the librarian while she listened to Xuan's statement. The brunette youth with a bored expression smiled while he neared the cubicle. He leaned to his host as if divulging a very confidential secret.

"Host…" The body temperature of Xuan was not any different of having no body temperature at all. It only meant that he didn't exist in this world as only Chun could converse and see him.

"Hmm?"

She ignored the leaning youth while she looked for the clues of the book. There must be something here.

"I can help you with this while you owe me a favor."

The silver haired young man doubted her sense of hearing as well as she doubted the words that came from a useless system. For the times that she spent in this world, she had never had Xuan help her. He only appeared when he needed to and he never insisted of helping her. Chun didn't mind of not having any ȧssistance from him because she could take care of herself.

"Did you drink your medicine?"

Xuan: ….

--///

"So you say that the Royal Family knew about the Dark Charmer that was supposed to be an acquaintance of the Supreme Ruler but those three a while ago wasn't the said acquaintance?"

"Right."

"Other than that, the Royal Family will only move when this segment will at its end?"

"Right."

"Meaning that they have no idea about the three tresspassers?"

"Right."

"And lastly, we cannot escape this Domain Space that Gai created until the doubles segment finishes and that would be in week's time?"

"Right."

Xuan lazily affirmed while he and the silver haired young msn trudeged to the mystery section. She found out that the book was detective genre theme and she didn't waste time while they talked.

"Now you owe me a favor."

Chun smirked and continued to walk. She carelessly replied, "We can't be sure if what you had said to me is a fact. It can be just your imagination."

'Are you trying to pit me? Wish you luck. You suddenly help me by owing you a favor. Do you think that I'm stupid?' She thought, willfully.

The silver haired young man might have an innocent shell for the most of the time that she spent in this world as she had no opportunity to trick anyone.

She did her best in doing the missions that was given to her. It was all smooth sailing. She had never encountered any scheming people because the ninth prince's siblings had took care of them after they knew of her existence. And before that, she had great friends who were the ones taking care of unpleasant people in her way, it could be sum up that she had many golden thɨġhs.

It wasn't her fault that she had been relying to them. Why would she exchange convenience for inconvenience?

Ara (nightmare beast who taught her in the Snow Palace) said that if there were people that wanted to help you, voluntarily then you shouldn't be shy to it as it was for your own good, too.

The silver haired young man was proud that she learned that. Before going back to her world, she should visit Ara for the last time.

----

The nightmare beast who had been grooming her fur felt a sudden chill from the night wind.

----

Chun ignored that the snobbish brunette was fallen behind her steps while she walked through the aisle.

The smell of the books were the best scent that the silver haired young man had ever smelled. The fresh opened books and the old musty books. 'This is paradise.'

'The Deception…The Art of Playing Safe… Tossed Coins….The Fool's Demise… Walking Through…'

"The Fool's Demise." She stretched her hands to grab the book but there was a thief who was a second faster than her.

"Chi chi chi," The 'thief' squeaked while its dark furs shook and it passed in front of the silver haired young man.

"What is that?"

"That's the bug!" Xuan blurted out and it was too late for him to backtrack in what he said.

"Bug?"

They were both chasing the pesky 'thief'. It was a rounded black fur from what could be shown in its bouncing shape, it kept moving and dodging Chun and what was making Chun angry was it would only bounced away when the silver haired young man was a hand-reach away from it.

The book was hanging in its mouth as it squeaked, provocatively.

"Chi chi chiii!"

She stopped while she calmed her breathes. Chun coincidentally saw that the brunette system was smiling while leaning on a bookshelf, looking at her making a show. He had a 'do you want my help?' expression plastered in his face while smirking there.

It couldn't be help that Xuan was enjoying her misfortune as she had just tricked him but it also couldn't be help that she doesn't need his help.

Ara had also taught her that, she only need to receive 'voluntary' help but not unintended ones.

She smiled at the nonchalant youth and turned to the 'thief'. Chun concentrated her wind charm around the space of the black furball and with a gesture of capturing it, she incapacitated the poor 'thief'.

The black furball was squriming in the hold of her wind charm while she took the book from its mouth.

"Chiii chiii chi!"

The silver haired young man sarcastically grinned at the squirming ball and busied herself with the book. The book was the right clue. When she opened it, there was a rainbow-color feather squeezes in its pages serving as a bookmark.

'Page 229… a pink scarf."

That was written on the page that was highlighted by a pink marker. Chun put the rainbow feather bookmark in her spatial storage and looked at the time of her communicator.

1:33…

5:30 was the dawn time which meant that she had only four hours and three minutes until the closing time of the library.

Before that…

"This thing is a bug? What do you mean?"

She must clarify some things before she would proceed in this task. It would unfair that as a chosen performer in this world, she had no idea about this 'bug' matters.

Xuan just smiled and didn't want to say anything about it but Chun wasn't an easy person.

"Then I will give a bad review---"

"Alright, alright. I'll talk." He sighed in defeat.

The silver haired young man held the black furball in her hands while it wanted to get away but unluckily, every strokes that Chun patted in its furs were threatening. 'Good boy, good boy.'

Like a good 'dog', it motionlessly behaved itself with a lifeless 'Chi.'

It sensed his life would immediately perish if he angered this human like his original 'master'.

"That creature suddenly appeared in the Circus administration after the start of the newbies' test. Third Seat was the one who captured it but it tricked Third Seat and entered this world while I was about to go back from my report."

Chun continued to stroked the trembling black furball while she pondered and then she noticed the familiar golden eyes of the creature.

"What is its true form?" She inadvertently asked.

"A small bird with strange golden feathers."

"Oh."

Xuan sighed as if granted amnesty. He had never been in this kind of tight situation, knowing his superior-self, he had never suffered like this but of not for the importance of the review of his host, he would really want to teach this person a lesson.

The silver haired young man immediately turned to the snobbish system who she felt that was glaring at her but looking at it, Xuan maintained his nonchalant expression while he smiled in response.

Looking at the poor fella in her hold, "Do you want this?"

Xuan uncaringly declined. Even knowing that this was a bug in this world, Xuan had no care of it. It wasn't one of his responsibilities of capturing it as he had already finished his task of informing the management about it earlier while Chun was busy chasing the bug.

"Then let's proceed." Continue to look for the next object.

A pink scarf…
