Chapter 207 - 188.8

The silver haired young man walked deeper the dark endless path. She had the aid of the torch lamp, lighting the path beyond her was still the blackness of the cave.

'If you delve deeper into the darkness, the darkness will delve into you.'

She couldn't help but derived a phrase within this eerie place. The cave was humid. Every step she took, she could feel the moisture under her shoes.

Chun continued her walk while the black furball on her shoulder kept quiet, trembling with uneasiness. The black furball was shaking in anxiety, even a Thundra like him knew what danger lurking in the darkness. The more they got closer, Xiao Fen sensed an oppressing aura.

However, the silver haired young man was feeling strange. The odd yet familiar feeling rushing within her bones…no… it was a feeling coming from her soul.

'This…'

"Chiii chi!"

Xiao Fen didn't know why his master suddenly quickened her steps, as if there was something 'exciting' beyond that darkness but only he felt danger.

The black furball with small fluttering wings, with all his might tried to pull and stop the silver haired young man in rushing to her death.

"Chiiiiiii chi chi chiiii!"

'Chun-ni, don't be rash! I feel bad there!'

He kept perching and squeaking, diverting Chun's attention from running to that place. The silver haired young man halted her movements while she listened to her 'bird'. The Thundra was persistent on stopping her and that made her curious.

Even though, the familiar feeling couldn't be ignored. Her instincts was even telling her. That was her…

Fragment.

And this fragment was not like the first one that granted her a small glimpse of her memory nor the second one which enabled her deity ability, not even the third fragment that ascended a little bit of her deity-self while she regained another part of her memory. She felt that this one was very important.

Very very important.

Titus told her that once she slowly regained back her deity memories, her half-deity form would slowly progress until her full original form.

'Pandora, the Deity of…'

The silver haired young man had been curious to one thing since having the partial memory of her deity-self. What was her title as a deity?

She sensed that this fourth fragment could suffice her inquisitieness.

"Chi chi chii!"

'Master, what are you thinking? We must go back now. This is not a good place.'

Chun almost forgot the presence of the black furball. He was the one to stop her from nearing that familiar 'feeling'.

'Xiao Fen, I need to retrieve my 'important' part there.'

'Eh? What important part, Master?!'

Although the Thundra had a foreseeing ability, he only knew that his master was special because he was unable to see-through the silver haired young man but he was ignorant to the real identity of the latter despite her unique case.

Xiao Fen wasn't aware to the deity identity of the silver haired young man which was reasonable for him to stop the other from entering the darkness further.

Chun also knew this but she was in a hurry to obtain her fragment. Maybe this was destiny, for her to end up in this mission world.

She didn't think that she would discover her fragment here.

Truly fortunate.

Looking at the eager face of his master. Though he was opposed for leaving Chun to danger but he decided to accompany the latter, knowing that his master said that an important thing to her was in there.

Chun was released by the Thundra as the other went back on her shoulder, silently allowing the silver haired youth to continue her path.

For two minutes, she had walked with the alighted torch lamp. The 'feeling' was getting stronger and the black furball on her shoulder felt a sense of crisis from the overwhelming pressure.

Xiao Fen then realized this kind of dangerous yet familiar oppression.

'This…this is a deity's divine aura.'

But what Xiao Fen was perplexed in was how did this divine aura exist in this generated world when the deities were in the original world, specially in the Mountain Qi.

Opposed to the bedazzled thoughts of complexity of the Thundra, the silver haired young man was exhilarated and drunk with an expression of excitement.

She had confirmed that this was her fragment, the nearer she got, the clearer it was. But somehow, there was another being there. Was it a guardian of the fragment like in her first fragment?

"Chi chiiii!"

The dazed thunder bird was now awakened from his thoughts, even though the emitted aura was a sign of danger. He couldn't help but be excited, it was a deity. A deity that he liked the most.

The 'chi chi' noise of the Thundra made the silver haired young man paused momentarily while her expression tightened while her conjectures were confirmed.

'Chun, Master! Pandora!'

Xiao Fen might be a part of the Thundras that stood as a neutral party when it came to the clashing factions between the deities. In which they only favored the Creator but Pandora was an exception. She was closer to the Creator which in turn made her favored by the Thundras and also she had been in the neither faction of the deities.

But that was it…

The black furball closed his eyes while he wanted to forget a painful memory from six hundred years ago.

Chun noticed the changes of the black furball on her shoulder. At first, Xiao Fen was moving in excitement but suddenly, he ceased to move and went silent. The Thundra might be in a black furball form but as a master of the thunder bird, they were connected by a contract which enabled her to perceive the sudden turmoil of emotions of the latter.

"What's the matter?" Chun might not be that affectionate but she had still a conscience. She ruffled the motionless black furball while Xiao Fen was awakened by the warm touch.

The white palm that almost covered the black furball brought warmth to him and erased his gloomy mood.

"Chi chiii chiii!"

The black furball slapped away the hand of the silver haired young man while he perched in anger, his liveliness was back.

The door in front was covered with strange markings, the twirling silver-like patterns which reached the upper portion of the door and it stretched to the bottom.

But what caught her attention was the 'calling' of the 'other side'. This was the familiar feeling and the silver haired young man knew what was it. She had never been wrong with this sensation.

Caught with the feeling, Chun didn't notice that the black furball on her shoulder stilled while looking at the strange markings spreading in a vine-like pattern, it spreaded and intersected at the center part of the door.

The door had no knob to twist in order to be opened but Chun determined that it was connected to this markings.

'Chun, I think that I saw this patterns.'

'Where did you saw it?'

Chun was curious to the Thundra's speculation. It was fortunate for her if Xiao Fen knew about this pattern. As a legendary thunder bird living in the deities' mountain, he should know a lot.

"Chiiiii!"

The sudden squeak of the black furball near the silver haired young man's ear made her scrunched up her face into a frown while massaging the 'damaged' eardrums.

'What is it?'

Xiao Fen's crazily enthusiastic jumping made his voice in Chun's mind depicted as a shrill squeaking of this bird.

'The markings! The silver box! Prevalent Tragedy!'

'Can you say it properly?' Chun thought in irritation but somehow the words that the black furball blurted out were making a conclusion on her mind.

'Master, this is the pattern that I saw on the silver box while I had left to find you. The markings of the Deity of Prevalent Tragedy!'

'The silver box must be that real silver box!…?'

Even though the Thundra almost knew the surroundings of his master and her traits but he was still unaware with some details, like this silver box.

He was a guardian in the Mountain Qi but he had never got a glimpse with the three Pandora boxes. He had only heard its appearance from the description of his ancestors who were now in seclusion.

Xiao Fen saw the silver box in his master's possession but he doubted it. Although it matched the descriptions that he had heard yet it was impossible for it to appear, knowing that Pandora perished with it.

'But how come?'

The silver haired young man was amused at the baffled expression of the Thundra. She was entertained with the fact that the legendary thunder bird did not recognize a divine artifact yet at the same time, she wanted to figure out the mechanism of this door.

'If it is related to Titus and the silver box then perhaps…"

Chun widened her eyes in realization.
