Chapter 209 - 189

"What did you say?" Chun wanted to clarify the words that had came out from Xuan's mouth.

"Mysteriously, you have completed the tasks. You can leave this world now."

This statement was confusing. Chun was also ignorant to what truly happened at the main mission and other additional tasks as suddenly her snobbish system bursted in her room and this happened.

"How?" The silver haired young man had been careless for some time but it was impossible not to be startled with this kind of development.

She was currently relaxing at her room. Regarding about the first segment which lasted a week and due to the 'uninvited guests' (Dark Charmers), the doubles segment was extended for another three days and finally, it was over.

And surprise, surprise! The Alliance had been first in the point rankings, just a slight margin higher from the Rose. The points was counted for the performance that Eliza and Berry had showcase. If it wasn't for the provocation of the Constellar captain, Armanis, things would have not gone that far.

Berry wanted to take it slow but when the smug Armanis showed up, he was obliged to do so. No one knew if his bottomline was being touched due to his friendship with Eliza or there was another meaning for his action but the silver haired young man was thinking elsewhere.

Xuan only replied, "Master is back."

She was stunned to hear that. It wasn't possible… unless that person was fake.

Chun almost wanted to stand and reveal the identity of the body she had been possessing in front of Xuan. Even though she only got acquainted with Zero for an inevitable instance but she could feel the emotional turmoil of the body. It was likely from the subconscious of the original owner.

But she also didn't want to suddenly depart while the tournament wasn't finished yet. She only got to participate in the doubles and she was the chosen player for the intellective segment.

"Can I stay until the Intercompetition ends?"

The brunette man had an opinion of its own but somehow he didn't open his mouth as he agreed with the other.

The two days relaxation was over. Chun and her team were heading to the field quadrangle where the intellective category would be held.

For the current segment could only be possible in a big open space.

The Alliance was not the only arriving team while some were earlier than them. They ȧssembled in line before their erected team flags. All of the team flags were very stylish and eye-catchy in their own way, it was visible that the schools of each team had prepared the flags with great hands.

But the intellective segment was unlike the previous segment were audience were allowed to watch. The ten teams and the three coordinators were the only ones present, nonetheless this was the normality of this segment. Even the Royal Family wasn't an exemption.

No one could watch unless they were part of it, they only needed to wait for the results.

In front of the teams was the mounted platform that was currently the three coodinators were standing. As usual, they wore their own signature expressions but there was a pink 'thing' that was grabbing the attention of the teams. It was the pink scarf worn by the smiling Dexer. His green hair was already blinding and added with that pink scarf.

"He looks like an actual strawberry," the curly haired youth voiced out what Chun was thinking. He even chuckled while Notalie glared at him to shushed him.

Even the glaring girl, Lollipop had a hint of smile in her eyes while she immediately dismissed it when she saw the silver haired young man was looking at her. She snorted at Chun while the latter ignored it.

Chun was not surprise that the other took a liking of it. As she arrived, the cheeky man kept glancing at her way while purposely arranging his pink scarf. The familiar flashy scarf was none other than the acquired task item of hers.

If he wants it then give it to him, why bother if the item was already surrendered to the latter?

Feron turned a blind eye with Dexer's antics. He stepped forward and explained the mechanics of the intellective segment and as predicted by the long black haired captain, it was a tower defense team play.

The teams who didn't come up to this conclusion, reacted while some wasn't surprised.

Qin Shi, the captain of the Blues hummed. His silver blue eyes deepened while he looked at a certain team's direction, specifically a silver white haired person.

Chun felt a gaze on her but when she turned around, she did not saw anyone looking at her.

'Was it her imagination?'

'Master!' The chirping voice of the little bird invaded Chun's thoughts.

Xiao Fen was staying at her room because it was inconvenient to bring something inconspicuous. The black furball was too attracting and even her teammates did not know about it, it was due to Xiao Fen' stealth ability that he was able to go unnoticed.

'What is it?'

'The energy flow of this world is …strange.'

After she heard that, the third question flashed in her mind.

-------------

The persona smiled while she twirled her curls with her fingers. They were on standstill after Chun answered the second question. The woman had been like that while observing her with deep meaningful look in her face.

Chun could not understand what was going on her mind but she waited for the other to talk.

"Interesting."

Chun: ?

But the persona wasn't willing to talk in detail as she changed back to asking.

"Well, this is the final question. Pick one from these choices, responsibility, purpose and love."

....

It shone brightly, more mesmerizing than any other light, even the white space couldn't compete with its brilliance.

'This was the fourth fragement.'

The silver haired young man passed the test of the smiling Pandora while still looking at her with that odd expression on her face.

After receiving the fragment from the silent persona, the white space begun to tremble. It was about to collapse but Chun didn't panic as she knew that she was about to go out but before that the unmoving woman suddenly mouthed with voiceless words.

'The world is changing. Go, my goddess.'

-----------

Chun snapped out from her thoughts while Feron finished with the introductions.

It was the start of the intellective segment.

The amusing gameplay of tower defense was not the thing that caught the attention of all players. They were more focused on the set-up. Each of the ten teams had their own representative and these representatives would be grouped into three teams.

There were ten of them and they would be divided by threes', each member in the group had specific roles - the strategist, the empire and the hero. And roles has certain tasks and functions.

The strategist was incharge of determining the positions of their enemy while taking the role of the leader leading the attack. The empire was one to be protected but it was the only role that could occupy a territory or tower of the enemy. The hero was the one to protect the empire, the player ȧssigned to this role must protect the empire well unless they wouldn't be able to covet any enemy's tower without it.

Each of these teams had their own supplies and soldiers to expend because this would happened in a simulation space. Although, they wouldn't be dealing the matter head-on but they would be using their mental strength in activating their actions.

It wasn't like the usual way of transferring them on a separate space nor using an illusion manipulation array like the last time where they played the mini event because this segment involved a massive creation.

They would be using the energy embedded capsules where the players would lay in and their soul perception would be put in the gameplay environent.

(Just like in a virtual reality game but this one involves the world energy.)

Though, it was a new and interesting set-up for this intellective segment but that wasn't the thing that

caught the attention of the players.

It was the division of the players. If three's in each group then where would the solo player would go?

Although, Feron mentioned that there was a fourth role in passing, he didn't indicate what was it. This was one of the task of the solo player, 'they' need to hide their role. If they would be found out then it was over for them. It was difficult situation for the solo player because they had no teammates and they would be an enemy with those three groups but on the brighter side, they did not need to be involved in the war.

They needed to only maintain their hidden role while doing their task and first and foremost, they should be discreet what their task was because it would be over for them if the enemy had figured out.

The coordinators only said that while they were on the team, their main goal was to occupy their enemy's territory. Nothing more, nothing less.

And it was not up to them to decide their teammates but the selection crystal would. Then they could ȧssign which role they would take.

The first team were Fu Chen (Rose), Zin (Redforth), Righ (Landlord)

Second team were Qin Shi (Blues), Renji (A.M), Li Yu (Fatal)

Third team were Xander (Constellar), Xia Xia (Terrances), Sunshine (LWY)

Looking at those flashing names of each participants, Chun just thinned her lips in a flatline.

She had already a hunch while looking at the smiling coordinator who had a pink scarf tied around his neck.
