265 Interruption

"Buzz buzz!"

The circle blade-shaped Energy Armament began to exhibit bright red flames. The glow brightened as it came closer and closer.

But still, Knight's face was calm, and in his view, the blade flew towards him in slow motion. And just when Dexter and his crew were expecting the blade to cut Knight's head clean off from his shoulder, the Blade was seized by Knight.

"What the?!"

Dexter startled as his eyes widened to see his precious and powerful Energy Armament violently struggling in Knight's hand.

"Pathetic!"

As he was gripping the blade, he snickered and started to put force on the blade's edge. Under Knight's immense force and Battle Energy's power, the blade's shape began to change while making crackling sounds.

"You bastard, Stop!"

Knight's actions were extremely sudden. Thus, it was only when the Blade started to get crushed, did Dexter regain his wits. Immediately, his face turned as black as the bottom of a pan. Previously, when Knight stopped the blade, it wasn't as damaged as this but now, he bent the disc into a cone.

Overwhelmed by rage, Dexter no longer hesitated. With a wave of his hand, he tried to call back the blade but the disc in Knight's hand began to tremble manically.

"Humph!"

When he saw that Dexter still refused to give up, Knight coldly snorted. The Battle Energy in his hand gushed forth, as the Blade disc completely crushed and turned into a cone.

"Kill him!"

Dexter's blood boiled in anger as he barked at his men pointing at Knight.

Without wasting any time, each of them cast quick spells and fired towards Knight. A few of the close combat mages of Dexter's crew on the other hand rushed at Knight with their glowing weapons which were enhanced using the Life Energy.

"Watch out!"

Lia instinctively screamed while Knight calmly walked forward to face the close combat mages.

As her scream echoed through the hall, Knight kept the cone-shaped blade in one hand and waved his other hand as the spell they fired at him swatted away by a giant hand formed of wind. When they saw their spells were swatted away by him, a look of shock surfaced in their eyes.

"That bastard has damaged my Energy Armament. Let's attack and kill him together!" A vicious glint flashed across Dexter's eyes as he suddenly shouted out.

That bunch of Wang Clan members stared at the rather sorry looking crushed Energy Armament of Dexter in Knight's hands, as a shock and fear surfaced in their eyes.

At this thought, the anger in Dexter's eyes intensified.

Dexter evidently held quite a high status among the House Moonwin members' hearts. When they heard his shout, cold lights flickered in their eyes. The House Moonwin were always rather domineering, and its younger generation members were even more proud and arrogant. Hence,

What Knight had done here was nothing but a shame for them.

As he observed the dozen of menacing glazes from the buddies of Dexter, Knight's eyes also turned slightly icy. However, he was not the slightest bit afraid. He tightly gripped onto the cone, as a formidable aura immediately spread out.

"Stop it!"

However, just as Dexter and the rest were about to get slaughtered by Knight, a cold shout suddenly rang out. Quickly, Knight halted his steps and turned his head to see a familiar face, Elder Greg. Yet when he looked closer, he realized that this man is not Elder Greg but he had the resemblance of him.

"Martian"

Dexter coldly said.

When Martian, the youth who had the resemblance of Elder Greg and his buddies arrived, their eyes initially paused on crushed Energy Armament in Knight's hands, as a look of shock and surprise surfaced on their faces. Martian was the only exception. Nonetheless, he was still slightly shocked that Knight could actually crush the blade disc into a cone-shaped metal.

"He is a friend of my Lakewood Academy. He is not someone you can kill just because you want to" Martian turned his head to look at Dexter before he icily declared.

"humph, I have never heard that your academy befriends strangers and nobodies " Upon hearing these words, Dexter's expression slightly sunk as he coldly chuckled.

"First he's not a stranger, and second, nobody can't be a Peak Grandmaster and third, he's a friend of our Lakewood Academy" Martian calmly said.

"Hehe, a friend of the academy? or yours?" When he heard these words, Dexter let out a burst of strange laughter as he replied.

Martian raised his brows and fiercely glared at Dexter as he said in an indifferent tone: "That is none of your concern. If you want to kill him in front of me, then you should ready to face the consequences"

When he spoke, the embroidered logo of a Tree began to glow on his chest showing the words 'Lakewood'. The logo was something that Knight had seen before, it was the same logo that was on Elder Greg as well the girls he saw earlier. Meanwhile, Dexter and his buddies clenched their fists but didn't dare to do anything as they knew that they couldn't afford to mess up the relationship between House Moonwin and Lakewood, especially at this time.

"You!"

As he stared at Martian, his facial expression turned exceedingly grim. He never expected that this unknown youngster is a friend of the famous Lakewood Academy. Right now, he couldn't afford to do anything that might jeopardize the relationship with Lakewood. Furthermore, there was also Knight, whose strength was at the level of Peak Grandmaster and seemed like a freak of nature. Based on the current situation, they were clearly unable to gain any advantage. And even though his precious blade disc was crushed by Knight, he had to swallow his anger and pride if he didn't want to mess up the Elders' plans.

"You bastard, just you wait. I'll deal with you after I put a ring on her finger!"

Since the situation did not favor him, Dexter could only swallow the rage inside his heart, as he thought and glanced viciously at Knight. Then, he waved his sleeve as he turned and walked towards the other side of the giant hall. Behind him, the rest of the House Moonwin members were also somewhat disgruntled as they followed him unhappily.

As he gazed at the leaving figures of Dexter and the rest, in his heart, he was a bit disappointed. With his current strength, it was as easy as raising a finger to kill them but after Martian who he could keep as a valuable ally interfered, he knew that he can't kill Dexter and his group.

Lia slowly walked forward to stand beside him, ignoring MArtian's and the rest's longing gazes. After which, Knight frowned and asked

"I should have killed them and who might you be?"

"Yes we know and I'm Martian, you met my father, Elder Greg" Martian replied to Knight with a gentle smile.

"So you're Elder Greg's son, you can call me David and this is my friend, Mia"

Knight pointed at Lia and shook Martian's hands while holding the crushed Dexter's blade disc in another hand.

"I truly did not expect that you would actually be so powerful, that you could crush Dexter's Energy Armament like an egg. No wonder he seemed like a cat whose tail had been stepped on." Martian chuckled.

"If it wasn't for you, he would have been a dead cat" Knight laughed as he replied. Soon after, he chose not to linger on this topic for too long, instead, he gazed towards another exit of the huge hall. That was the entrance to the deeper parts of the old tomb, and also the direction Dexter and the rest had headed in. Looks like they were still not ready to give up on finding more treasures in this place.

"The elites and the rest have most likely already reached the center of the old tomb. For them, the Energy Armaments here are not of much interest." Martian said.

LIa lightly nodded her head. Given Sterling's, Richard's, and the rest's status in their respective houses, Energy Armament was indeed unable to cause them to pause in their step. After all, there might be even more precious treasures in the deeper parts of the old tomb.

"We plan to rest and reorganize here for a while before entering the later areas. What about you? Do you want to come with us?" Martian asked.

Upon hearing these words, he took a look at this large hall. Due to the fact that the struggle for the Energy Armaments had already ended, most people were already rushing towards the deeper part of the old tomb without skipping a beat. Furthermore, the hearts of those who had arrived after the battle for the weapons had ended, was filled with regret. Since they did not reap any rewards, they naturally were not willing for things to end this way. Thus, without the slightest hesitation, they charged towards the deeper parts of the tomb. For a time, this area seemed to become just another tunnel to pass through.
