Anna and Jason stood outside after school waiting for their dad, who happens to be late already "are you sure he is back?" Asked Anna who seemed tired of standing "who should have joined Josh."
"He told me he is back and if you doubt me, you can call him too. I think he is been delayed somewhere" Jason answered.
Anna sighed while she looked ahead again, hoping their dad would just show up. She looked at Jason who seems to be occupied with his phone again "I'm not stopping you."
Jason looked at her with his brows furrowed together "what are you talking about?"
She bit her lips and sighed again, she is already taking a very hard decision, why is he making it harder? "If you want Courtney to be your girlfriend, you are free too" she licked her lips "it won't be bad if you have a girlfriend at least, I get to be one to console you when you get hurt."
Jason laughed at her words "so you are not asking me to get a girlfriend because I need one, but that I should so that I will get hurt for you to console me, I'm I right?"
"Why are you making it sound like a big deal? Who was the one that told me this morning that I know his room when Cash hurts me? I'm mainly returning the favor."
"You know, I really don't..." He was saying when a black Toyota pulled over in front of them. The window was lowered to reveal a fine man with a dark brown hair and light brown eyes.
"Hey kids, sorry I'm late" Samuel Macaulay said as he smiled to them. Jason got in the passenger's seat and Anna in the back.
"Didn't come back early?" Asked Jason.
"I did, but you know, I had to stop at the workshop to check on things. Your mom left this morning right?"
"Yea. Said she couldn't wait for you since her flight was in the morning" Jason replied.
"I travel once and she can't wait for me to come back where as she travels all the time" he shook his head before looking at Anna through the rear mirror "she is awfully quiet" he said to Jason before looking at Anna again through the mirror "you okay baby girl?"
Anna looked up to see him looking at her through the mirror, there is a loving smile playing on his lips "mm hmm."
"You didn't asks me what I got for you. You are not interested or aren't you happy to see me?" Samuel asked.
Anna sighed, how can she tell him that she is affected because she fears that her brother is going to have a girlfriend soon and she wonders where that will leave her "I'm happy you are back dad, I didn't want Jason and I to be alone."
Jason turned to look at her after her comment "why? You think I can't protect you enough?"
"It's not about protection. It's about having one of our parents at him" so that I won't do anything stupid, she almost added but had to stop herself in time.
"But still..." Jason wanted to argue, he didn't like it that she would choose their dad over him.
"Easy Jason, she is right. She is not saying that you can't protect her but that a parent need to be at home. So how was it with your mom alone yesterday?"
"Cool. She even let Anna go to a party with me last night."
"That's good. Good to know she let you guys have some free time" Samuel said and looked at Anna who was lost in thought again. He glanced at his son "any new boyfriend?"
Jason sighed at that and remembering who she chose this time, he couldn't help but get angry. Not like her being with the other guys don't hurt him but this one is the worst "of cause, and she chose the worst of all."
"Who?"
"Cashmere Donnell."
"Hmm. Do I know him?"
"Possible" he sighed and tried not to think of it while Anna pretended she heard nothing while they discuss about her.
They got home and Samuel walked into the kitchen and seeing the dirty dishes, he called Jason "why didn't you guys do the dishes?"
"Had to hurry to catch up with the bus" he replied.
"You guys know how your mom hates leaving the dishes dirty."
"Yea. I will do them right now."
"Where is Anna?"
"Her room" Jason replied as he walked to the sink to do the dishes.
Samuel sighed and went upstairs to her room. He knocked and entered to see her lying on her bed, facing the ceiling "you okay sugar?"
Anna looked at him at the door and sighed before taking her eyes back to the ceiling "Jason has a girl he likes."
"Whoa" Samuel sighed "I didn't see that coming" he took a step closer to her "and you are worried about that?" He sat beside her on the bed.
"Once she accepts him now, he won't care about me anymore."
Samuel smiled "did he say that to you?"
She took a deep breath and let it out slowly before sitting up to look at him "no, but she will occupy most of his time. He happens to always be there for me because he doesn't have a girlfriend."
"I don't think so" Samuel tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear "your brother loves you and no mystery girl is going to change that and even if there is, you always have my own love and you won't have to worry about me having a girlfriend right? I will be all yours."
Anna smiled and wished it was that simple. Her father loves her, she knows that but it can never be compared to her brother, she wished that she could really tell him why Jason having a girl is affecting her, but she can't. She knows those are words that can never be spoken out loud. She sighed and hugged him while he pats her head "I love you dad."
"I love you my pumpkin" Samuel replied before releasing her from his hold "why don't you freshen up and come downstairs, I will make dinner" she nodded and he kissed her forehead before leaving the room. Anna sighed as she stared at the door that he just walked out from, and wondered why she is feeling so down. Jason hasn't gotten the girlfriend already so why is she already worried?
She got up from her bed and took off her clothes. She stepped into the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror. She knows she has a nice body, her boobs were round and full, her tummy was flat and she has a nice shape and curve.
Staring at her self at the mirror, images from here dream came pouring into her mind. She closed her eyes as she remembers how he will touch her at soft places, his kisses on her neck and how it feels when his lips covers her nipples. Details of how those pink lips kisses every part of her body caused her to shiver. Her hand reached up to caress her neck and she could feel his lips there.
She could remember his flawless body, she didn't know it just from her dream. She had seen him shirtless a lot of times, some when he was swimming at the school pool, some when he was at the gym and that helped her to picture him very well in her dream. She always drool anytime she sees his body and had stopped herself from visiting him at the gym or pool for fear of giving herself away when she stares that much.
She opened her eyes to stare at herself at the mirror again, there was a lot of changes on her body already from her thoughts, she sighed and stepped into the shower, this is only in her dreams is it possible, he is never going to touch her and she can only make do with her dreams.
She walked down the stairs later to see her dad in the kitchen with Jason. They were making chicken salad with avocado dressing, her mom's favorite and she wondered why, since she is not around.
"Need any help?" She asked as she stole a chip.
"No need love, you go rest, we will take care of this" Samuel said.
Jason smiled "you came down to help when we are done. Nice try."
"Jason" Samuel called and he laughed.
"Kidding" he replied and smiled at Anna who rolled her eyes before walking out of the kitchen.
They settled down later to have their dinner and each returned to their own room once done.
The next day, Anna walked down the stairs to see Jason setting the table for breakfast. He looked up at the sound of her approach and was shocked.
"My my, you actually got up without me waking you?" He asked and she rolled her eyes "I was just about to come wake you up but decided to finish this first and here you are, really set for school. Good, I'm impressed" he smiled.
