Of course, the system was terrified but it would never admit it. If there was one human it was afraid of, it would be this CEO. Its first encounter with Qie Ranzhe was cordial until he began to nitpick at all the AI's insecurities.
Granted it wasn't on purpose as he was instructing the team to fix a few things but still. It felt an incredible sense of crisis that this boss would erase it if it didn't perform well so the poor system had to put 110% effort to perform twenty years ahead of its time.
"You don't dare do you?" asked Qie Ranzhe looking down at his nails while waiting for the voice to show itself.
Sensing someone's intrusion the system plucked up its courage and said, "Boss, *ahem.... boss one," recalling it also called Wen Qinxi by that name, "you have other things to worry about so prepare yourself."
Just as the system said this, Qie Anzhie appeared in the space wearing that hideous cloak as usual. There was no exchange of pleasantries or a dramatic war on words as they went straight for it beating each other up. Like two siblings fighting over their favourite toy, the two brawled with fists.
Neither of them could use their spiritual power which meant this fight was a test of physical strength. Qie Anzhie was undoubtedly swift in dodging but this couldn't save him from his older half brother's fighting skills. The man was not only stronger than him but he was also smarter than him which meant Qie Anzhie was at a disadvantage.
Qie Ranzhe dodged Qie Anzhie's attack aimed at his face and swept the younger man's legs which brought him to the ground with a loud thud. Qie Ranzhe didn't hold back in the slightest grabbing Qie Anzhie by the collar while throwing two fierce punches on his eye.
Qie Anzhie raised his hand and tried to eye poke Qie Ranzhe attempting to blind him. Qie Ranzhe saw this coming so he grabbed Qie Anzhie's neck and lifted him up before slamming him on the ground performing a perfect chokeslam. If only Wen Qinxi knew these people were wrestling in his mind he would be angered to death.
Qie Ranzhe then proceeded to place his knee on Qie Anzhie's throat making the system jeer in excitement forgetting itself. Only the heavens know the consequences of it revealing itself to Qie Ranzhe.
"Ah hahahaha..... break his leg boss one. Better yet break his third leg that ought to teach him not to lust over Qi-ge," said the system exhilarated but it soon kept its mouth shut when Qie Ranzhe somewhat accurately located its exact position glaring at it with those chilling eyes.
The system had been too stimulated to notice it had said the name Qi-ge instead of Zhi-ge. Qie Ranzhe heard it but he was too focused on his brother to question this thing in the form of a little girl.
Yes, despite the system being invisible Qie Ranzhe could now clearly see it.
His consciousness had already infiltrated Flagship's vast network taking charge which is why Wen Qinxi couldn't get out of the game in the first place neither could he communicate with the outside world for three worlds straight. This meant the system wasn't an exception though this didn't necessarily mean Qie Ranzhe understood what was going on.
Qie Anzhie's face turned red while trying to remove Qie Ranzhe's knee that was choking him which was simply a futile attempt. "Why pick a fight you are obviously going to lose, xiao-didi (little brother)?" asked Qie Ranzhe with his knee almost crashing the man's larynx.
"We haven't seen each other for decades so how about you show your brother what you look like now," said Qie Ranzhe reaching for that hood that never seemed to come off in a fight. It was as though it was being held in place by safety pins or something.
"No, no, get the fuck off me," said an anxious Qie Anzhie who was panicking like a pig off to slaughter. He fought to keep the hood on but he wasn't Qie Ranzhe's match. The older man easily pulled down the hood only to reveal an ashen face with a deep long scar on his cheek.
This was the scar from the day his mother attacked him. He had been hiding it because it made him feel inferior. Feeling vulnerable and exposed in front of his enemy had Qie Anzhie angered to the point of being aggressive.
His older half brother always surpassed him in everything apart from looks where they were somewhat equalled but this scar downgraded him making him lose to his brother in every aspect.
Ignoring his own strengths he spent more time comparing himself to his brother. Such are the consequences of his mother's constant scolding and comparisons affecting his mental health.
It was for this reason he sacrificed everything and wouldn't rest till Qie Ranzhe was six feet under. But who would have thought he would still be losing to Qie Ranzhe till now?
"Why did you have to take things that far? Didn't mother treat you well despite everything so why kill her? Why kill all those servants, uh? Was your conscience eaten by fuckin dogs or something?" said Qie Ranzhe with his voice laced with pained undertones. He couldn't understand why his half brother turned out to be a heartless creature that crawled out of hell.
Sensing Qie Ranzhe's emotional fluctuations, Qie Anzhie's lips quirked up in an eerie smile with blood seeping out of his mouth and nose. Combined with his bruise red-eye, Qie Anzhie looked especially terrifying.
"Dage, of course, it's because I want to destroy everyone and everything you love.... hahaha, it's such a pity that you cheated death back then. Now that you chose to live it means your death will be a hundred times painful. What is my worthless nephew's name again? Ah, Xieling..... I will make sure you watch as I skin him alive before tossing him in a pit of fir-," said Qie Anzhie before he was slapped into an unconscious state by a backhanded slap from Qie Ranzhe.
The moment Qie Anzhie fell unconscious, his form vanished drawn out of Zhao Zhi's mind by the demon Yin Ying. Qie Anzhie opened his eyes and threw the poor demon towards the wall. "AAAAAAHHHHHH!" he screamed in anger with purple veins bulging on his neck, "Haha hahaha..... you might have fuckin won the battle but you will never fuckin win the war brother..... hahaha ha hahaha," he said followed by sinister laughter that had the demon feeling fearful for his life. This human was fuckin crazy.
'Such fuckin terrible luck. I don't even get fuckin paid for this shit,' thought Yin Ying while questioning his life choices.
