Hansoo Group (Friday)

Tomorrow was the big event for the company and all the employees wherein a joyous mood. Since this was a once in a lifetime chance to make connections with the high society of China, no one wanted to mess anything up. The males didn't feel the pressure since they only to put on a suit, but the females felt they need a spa and makeup day to be ready to appeal. It could be said that all the employees where walking harder than they ever had just to finished the day early.

While everyone was happy it could not be said in the CEO office, as a cold temperature surround the room. Li Wei could care less about the new product because he had no doubt it would be a success he only wanted to catch some rest. Mo Han might have been the only one who was nervous at the risk of the gala failing.

Li Wei worked on some company's paperwork while listening to Mo Han talk about the schedule for the gala. Just as he was about to start on a new stack of documents a knock on the door broke through the room. Looking up he saw his mother enter followed by a young lady with light brown hair.

Putting on a smile he stood up and motion for his mother to sit down and for Mo Han to leave. When he saw that his mother brought this young lady to his office he could tell what she had in mind.

"Mother, why are you here today?" Li Wei said calmly.

"Why do you think? Tomorrow is a big day and here you are hiding in your office."

"I still have a company to run, I can't stop every time because of a new product."

Madam Wei could only sigh while listening to her son, "Fine. If you wish to work go ahead but I wanted to introduce you to Miss Wu."

Li Wei didn't say anything and kept a cold face as he waited for his mother to finish. This wasn't the first time his mother tried to set him up but she always been close to the Wu family.

"Hello CEO Wei, your mother has only told me wonderful things about you. I happy to finally have the chance to meet you." Nancy said while giving Li Wei a sweet smile.

Li Wei didn't respond but gave her a nod of his head, he really just wanted to get to the point so he could go back to work. Madam Wei started to feel as if the mood was diming and tried to bring it back up.

"Son, I was thinking of having Nancy be your date for tomorrow. What do you think?"

"Mother, I will be busy during the gala that is why I decided not to have a companion." Li Wei said as he sighed internally.

"Nancy just returns to China and being around others her age is better than hanging out with me. Someone from her family has to attend and she could at least keep you company, why don't you let her go with you."

Li Wei couldn't take it anymore and decided even if it's harsh but he needed to end this conversation, "Mother, I already made up my mind and it won't change. Now if you will excuse me I need to finish so paperwork."

Madam Wei could only frown when she saw her son walking back to his desk, knowing she wasn't going to get what she wanted she stood up. Letting Nancy walk in front of her she gave her son a cold glare before leaving.

Getting on the elevator, Madam Wei gave Nancy a sad smile, "I'm sorry about my son, it just that he has a lot on his shoulders."

"No, it's fine. I just don't think he is fond of me, but it's okay." Nancy said giving Madam Wei a shy smile.

"Don't worry, dear, he might seem cold but he has a heart. Let me talk to him and I'll get him to see reason."

"I don't want to cause any trouble."

"Nonsense!" Madam Wei said with a smile and walked off the elevator.

When Madam Wei had her back turned Nancy sported a wicked smile before catching up to her. Nancy wasn't a fool when it came to Li Wei but as long as she had Madam Wei on her side he would soon follow. Coming back to China she only had one goal and it was to become the most powerful person in China and Li Wei could make it happen.
