14 Gala 1

With a rapid knocking on her apartment door, it woke Fan MeiLi out of her peaceful sleep. She was exhausted from all the work yesterday that she offered to do for her coworkers. Since she was one of the few who did not care about the Hansoo group's gala, so she had no problem helping those who wanted to leave early.

Getting out of bed she sluggishly walked to open her door to see a jumpy Zhang Jing. She walked into her apartment with coffee and bagels and a small suitcase. Fan MeiLi closed the door and face Zhang Jing with a smile and walked over to grab her coffee.

"Do I even want to ask what's in the suitcase?" Fan MeiLi asked sitting down on the sofa.

"This is my baby, it has everything to make you look like you walked off the red carpet." She said putting the case on the coffee table.

Fan MeiLi looked with wide eyes at the huge collection of makeup and spa items packed in the small suitcase. She has known Zhang Jing for eight years and she never ceases to surprise her with the things she comes up with.

"The gala starts at nine, so I was thinking we do facials followed by hair and makeup."

"Is all that really necessary?"

"Of course! It's not every day you can attend a Hansoo group's event. I don't know about you but I plan to make super connections so I find someone to invest in my company."

Fan MeiLi looked at her friend and put down her coffee, "Still not talking with your family?"

"No, I still can't forgive them for the part they played in the incident four years ago." Zhang Jing said with a sigh.

Fan MeiLi could only feel sad, it was her fault that her best friend stops speaking with her family. She was happy that in this world she had such a loyal friend but she wishes never to hurt her.

Zhang Jing jumped up and gave Fan MeiLi a smile, "Let us not talk about these sad things, it's time to prepare."

Fan MeiLi could only let what Zhang Jing wanted to do even if she felt that it was pointless to get ready for such an event. As she watched her friend bring out one item after the next she knew it was going to be a long day.

Grand Hyatt Beijing (Night)

When Fan MeiLi and Zhang Jing pulled up to the hotel that the gala was held and could only look in wow at the huge crowd. It was like a fan meeting, award show, and celebrity sighting all pulled into one with so many people cheering.

Zhang Jing tugged Fan MeiLi to the entrance with a huge smile on her face, "I told you that no one throws events like the Hansoo group."

"It's grand but it still just a party, at the end of the day it will just be a memory."

"I know we are best friends but even I don't understand your thoughts sometimes. No matter, tonight let's just have some fun." Zhang Jing said with a smile.

Fan MeiLi grabbed two glasses of champagne and gave one to Zhang Jing. The two ladies clicked their glasses and walked further into the ballroom while giggling.
