48 Saving the Li Family

Fan MeiLi understood that saving the Li family from Sarah's plot was only the beginning, her true purpose was to reaffirm others about the Li family. Sarah Wu was correct about one thing if the Hansoo Group's shareholder doubts the founders than they will withdraw before being dragged into their mess. Looking around the room, Fan MeiLi could see some high society giving the head table trouble looks.

Sarah Wu continued, "You see that Li Wei! You took seconds to destroy my family, but look around, it only took me a moment to take down the great Hansoo Group." Sarah said with a crazy laugh.

Li Wei glared at the crazy lady in front of him, while the rest of the Li family started to fill with rage at Sarah's words. Fan MeiLi took a deep breath and knew exactly what she needed to do fix this problem even knowing it will put more of a spotlight on her. Standing up, "Um, Miss Wu, you're wrong about a few things." She said in a calm and relaxing voice.

Sarah stopped her crazy laughed and glared at Fan MeiLi, "Who are you!" She yelled.

Fan MeiLi just continued to smile, "I really don't think me introducing myself is needed, I just wanted to clear a few wrongs I heard in your little speech."

"Huh!"

With that little outburst, Li Wei and the entire room stared at Fan MeiLi and waited for her to speak.

"You so clearly and might I say boldly confess to stealing the Li family's money, so if someone recorded your words." Fan MeiLi said showing her phone. "Then the police and bank would be happy to return their money, especially if foul play was involved." Fan MeiLi stated.

It looked like Sarah Wu wanted to say something but Fan MeiLi cut her off, "Also, you stated that Li Wei destroyed your family's legacy but he had no play in their downfall."

When Sarah heard Fan MeiLi's words she started to see red, "Liar! You're a liar! He is the only one who could have done such a thing." She yelled trying to come closer to Fan MeiLi.

Letting out a sigh, Fan MeiLi started to walk around but was stopped by Li Wei holding her wrist, she just smiled and shook her head. Coming to stand in front of her, "Miss Wu, the only thing that Li Wei did to the Wu family was not helping them." She said calmly."

"What are you talking about!?" Sarah asked glaring at Fan MeiLi.

Smiling, "You think that all of the scandals and bad information came from thin air. Your Wu family was involved in a lot of illegal dealings, and when caught they asked for help from the Li family. Unlucky for them, Li Wei is a moral guy and didn't want to have anything to do with their dirty doings." She said sternly.

Shaking her head and losing feeling in her legs, Sarah refused to believe Fan MeiLi's words. "You're a liar. There is no way my family was doing corrupt work." Sarah said in a quiet voice.Fan MeiLi could see the crazy in Sarah's eyes leaving and when she stopped feeling pain in her gut she knew her job was done.

Taking Sarah's hand, "I understand you were angry and confused but this doesn't have to be the end of the Wu family. When you make up for the crimes you committed then you can rebuild the Wu family's legacy into something new."

Sarah shook her head and fell to the floor with tears in her eyes, "You're wrong, it's too late." She said in a whimper. "Never. Trust me when I say that there is no end, only beginnings. I'm sure you can remake yourself with hard work and determination, and most importantly honesty." Fan MeiLi said never breaking eye-contact with Sarah Wu.

Fan MeiLi stood up and smile, she knew that it would take time but Sarah will be okay and this experience would help her become a better person. Turning around she looked at Li Wei and gave him a smile and return he gave her a head nod.
