The rest of the weekend went by fast, with Fan MeiLi trapped in her apartment. After the banquet, it didn't take the reporters long to find out where Fan MeiLi lived. Instead of feeling pressured by the crowd outside, Fan MeiLi thought of it as a blessing to have some deserved rest. Besides she felt safe knowing that her building had top-notch security in place, probably for situations such as this one.

It was Sunday morning when she got a call from Jenny Young. It made her day knowing that her other bestie will back in China. It also made Fan MeiLi sit down and try to think a plan to convince Jenny to sign with the Hansoo Group. She knew her friend was stubborn when it came to her design work. Letting out a sigh, Fan MeiLi laid on her couch, forgetting all her worries for the rest of the day.

When Fan MeiLi walked into work, she wasn't surprised by the stares and the few glares directed her way. Of course, she didn't cower away, since Fan MeiLi decided to help Li Wei, she would play her role to perfection. Getting on the elevator, people stopped talking and looked at her but she paid no mind and waited for her floor.

"I can't believe she still has the audacity to show up for work." Female A said behind Fan MeiLi. "I know right! How shameless can one person be?" Female B chimed in.

All through the smack talk, Fan MeiLi stayed calm as she watched to get off the elevator. When it dinged for the fifth floor most of the employees got off leaving Fan MeiLi went the other three bad-talking ladies. When the door was closed, female C who kept quite glared at Fan MeiLi.

"You really are something, Miss Fan." She said with a sneer.

Fan MeiLi looked over her shoulder to take a peek at who was speaking. All she saw was a tall beautiful lady in a pencil dress and long wavy hair and hazel eyes glaring back at her. Not finding this lady familiar, Fan MeiLi intended to continue to ignore the three.

Seeing that she was being ignored, female C came over and stood right next to Fan MeiLi. "You didn't waste time, huh? Only been here four months and you went from the mailroom to the CEO's office, to his bed." Female C said loudly, making the other two snickers.

With only one floor left, Fan MeiLi just listened to female C talk and ask questions. "When I saw you during the new hire party, I thought you were too quiet. Turns out you were just waiting for your chance to strike." She said. When female C saw her floor open, she tried to bump into Fan MeiLi but only got air when Fan MeiLi took a step back. She then gave the three mean females a wicked smile as the doors closed, which made the three females erupt in anger.

Finally, on the top floor, she went to her desk and let out a loud sigh. "Is something bothering you, Miss Fan?" A deep voice called out startling her. Seeing CEO Li, Fan MeiLi stood and tried to keep the embarrassing blush off her face. "I'm fine, CEO Li. Is there anything I can do for you?" Fan MeiLi asked getting herself in a calm state once more.

"I have another business dinner about the mall I'm investing in, I need you to get a restaurant reserved and send the information to my partners. Also, my mother mentions lunch with you, I'll give you next Monday off so enjoy yourself and play your part well." Li Wei explained giving Fan MeiLi a serious stare.

Fan MeiLi wrote down the information and looked back up at Li Wei who was still staring her. Tilting her head, "Is there anything else, sir?" Fan MeiLi asked. Walking over with his hand in his pockets, "I didn't get to tell you on Friday, but you really did a good job at the banquet. I have been thinking you should get a reward." Li Wei said.

Shaking her head the instance she heard his words, "No! Sir, I helped you because I felt that you because you might be a cold man, but you do great work for China. Also, I sighed a contract to be your girlfriend and that is the same as my word and I never break my word. So no, I need no reward for my work at the banquet." Fan MeiLi said never breaking eye contact, hoping that her meaning got to Li Wei.

Li Wei didn't say another word, just gave Fan MeiLi a nod and walked back into his office. Fan MeiLi looked at him with confusion but brushed it to the back of her head and started on the task assigned to her.
