182 YOU ARE GOING TO BE AN UNCLE

"Will she be ok? I can not live without her. I love her." The tears started to roll down through his cheeks non-stop. He could not see Dolly's condition more.

"Yes. She will be ok. You don't worry. She is a strong and brave sister of mine. Was she ill recently? Did she say anything?" John asked Charlie.

Charlie thought for some time before reply to John. He could not remember anything important.

"No. She did not say anything to me. But she could not sleep properly last night. She was restless. When I asked her, she said that maybe the changing weather is the reason behind her restlessness. I thought she might be over-excited for today's mission. After some time everything was fine. Apart from this, I observed that her taste buds had changed suddenly. She started to eat a few things recently, which she hated before." Charlie said with much thought.

"What? What did you say? What type of husband are you?" Mrs Smith yelled loudly.

Everyone startled for Mrs Smith's sudden change in behaviour. They had never seen her so angry. Everyone looked at her with wide eyes. John somehow managed to control his surprised look and reached near Mrs Smith. He kept his hand on her shoulder and signalled her to calm down.

"Grandma. Don't get angry Grandma. It is not good for your health. You just recovered from such illness. Please grandma."

Charlie could not understand, where he had done wrong. He only said the truth. Dolly's behaviour and as well as her taste buds were also changed recently. Her mood was changing from time to time. Last night she was crying for no reason at all. Charlie was confused.

'Thank God I have not said, grandma about her changing mood. Otherwise, she would kill me.' Charlie thought.

"G...Grandma.I am telling the truth.S..... she now started to eat Mushroom soup and pasta, which she hated from her childhood." Charlie replied in hesitation.

He completed his sentence and waited for another scolding. But to his surprise, nothing happened this time.

When Mrs Smith heard him, she laughed like a mad person. If she could, she would jump in joy. To Charlie and other's surprise, Alicia too joined her. Both of them started clapping their hands in joy.

"Oh Charlie, you should inform this earlier. Why did you hide all this good news for a long time? As a husband, it is your duty to inform the family about these." Mrs Smith said happily this time.

Charlie shocked to hear her. Is it such a big deal? He was confused about their strange behaviour.

'I can not understand, why everyone is changing their mood in a second these days? Dolly's changing taste is also looked like good news for them. At first Dolly and now Grandma and Mother.Oh, God! Please save me from all these. I am worried already for Dolly. Please don't add more .' Charlie thought.

'Oh my God! Is this means....' She could not think more. She looked at Dolly. She was lying on the bed peacefully. Confused Charlie was sitting near her. 

John looked at Zinu. He could see the glint of joy and happiness in her eyes. He furrowed his brows. He could see that Zinu's behaviour also changed now.

'Oh, God. I would never be able to understand these women in my life. At first Grandma and now Mom and Zinu are also following her, in her craziness.."

"Boss. The doctor has arrived." John relieved to heard Karl's announcement. He sighed in relief and nodded.

"Everyone please leave her alone. Let the doctor check her." John said and left the room.

Everyone except Charlie nodded and followed John. But Charlie did not want to leave Dolly's side. He was too much worried about her.

"Sir, please leave the room, so that we can check her properly." The doctor said politely.

"No. I will stay here. I will not disturb you.Please." Charlie said a firm voice.

The doctor looked at the worried husband. He felt pity for him. He nodded and signalled the nurse to bring his bag near Dolly.

In the outside of that room, everyone was waiting patiently for any news from the doctor. Although Mrs Smith and others were feeling a bit happy, she too worried about Dolly.

"Grandma, Mom. You were behaving so strange inside. What is the reason? Zinu you too looked happy more than sad? Dolly is sick. You should be sad. But I could not see any sadness in your eyes. Are you hiding something from me? Would you like to tell me the reason behind all this?" John asked them in a confused voice. He could not control himself more.

"I will tell you everything." Everyone jumped up, to hear the doctor's sudden voice. He came out with the nurse smiling.

"Oh.Doctor.You have done with your examinations? How is my sister? What happened to her? Will she be ok?"John asked worriedly.

The doctor smiled at him.

" Mr John Smith. You need not worry. Your sister is fine.She is just sleeping. She will wake up within no time. I have a piece of good news for you. You are going to be an uncle very soon."

John shocked to hear the words. He could not believe in his ears. Uncle? That means.....?

"What ....what did you say? D... Dolly is going to be a mother?" John asked again to clear his doubts.

"Yes, Mr John Smith She is three and a half months pregnant. But she is very weak. Maybe she did not get proper rest in her first trimester. She needs a total bed rest for the whole month. Otherwise, the development of the child inside her would not be proper. She needs to visit a gynaecologist as soon as possible to get proper treatment. I already have discussed these with her husband. You must be careful about her health now on." The doctor said and left the house leaving everyone shocked.
