201 Charlie sir,did you call me?

Rosa did not regain consciousness even after the three hours of her treatment. Karl waited in the hospital for Rosa, as he wanted to know what actually happened after she and Zinu entered the library. But the doctors advised him not to disturb her at least till the morning, as she had lost a lot of blood already. So, Karl kept two guards there and left the hospital.

Karl returned to the library of the old Smith house to search for the clues. Charlie and the whole team were trying to search for any secret door, by which Zinu was taken out. They knew that there must be some way, by which Lucas used to come into the room. But they did not get any way to the outside of the room yet.

They searched for all the walls for any secret door, but they got nothing there. Charlie called their fingerprint experts to search for the fingerprints. Everyone was very busy. It was almost morning, but they got no clues.

The secret darkroom was not very big, but big enough to be an office room. It had no windows, but two ventilators were there. There was a very low power bulb was glowing there. There was a set of table and chairs kept in the room and a table lamp was also there. On the table, some books were kept. From the look of the room, anyone can guess that somebody used that table to study something.

"I think there were some computers in this room," Charlie said suddenly.

Karl stunned to hear him, as he was also thinking the same thing.

"Yes. I too think the same. Look at the plug points. They at least must have kept three computers here. But there is only one table."Karl said.

"Maybe they had shifted the other tables from here." A guard said.

"But what did they do here? Why did anyone need a secret room?"Karl murmured thoughtfully.

"Call Neil Partick and his wife," Charlie ordered a guard.

Although Neil Partick was the caretaker of the house and was living there for many years, he claimed that he never heard any secret door in the library. Karl wanted to ask Mrs Smith about it, but Charlie stopped him. According to him, if Mrs Smith knew about the secret door or secret room of the house, she would have already mentioned it to them, before sending Zinu here.

"Charlie sir, did you call me?"Neil asked in a low voice.

Neil Partick and his wife were very much frightened after getting the news of Zinu's kidnapping. They could not understand, how Zinu could vanish in the air when all types of precaution were taken by John Smith. It was not that easy to kidnap the wife of ruthless John Smith, without using any dirty tricks.

When Karl and his team started their investigation in the library, nobody except his team was allowed to come near the library. So, Neil Partick and his wife did not know about any progress of their investigation.

"What do you think about this room?"Charlie asked. He thought maybe Neil Partick and his wife had observed something.

"S..... Sir, we never knew about this. But we felt that someone was keeping their eyes on us and also in this house. Mrs Smith knew about it, so she told us to use each and every room daily for some time at least. So that whoever was keeping an eye on us, they could not think that we are the only housekeeper of this house. For the outer world, we are the owner of the house. We never knew that there is another hidden room here. I think Mrs Smith also had no idea about this room."Neil Partick replied.

"How did you knew that someone was keeping an eye on you?"Karl asked.

"Sir, we just felt it. A few years ago, after Mrs Smith had shifted to her new house. Whenever we went to the garden or to the backyard, we observed some footprints there. In this house only I and my wife were living. So it was impossible to get a footprint there. When we informed Mrs Smith about it, she told us not to contact her directly. We only contacted each other through text messages."Neil Partick replied.

"What about your son? Is he aware of all this?"Charlie asked this time.

"No.Mrs Smith told me not to inform him a thing about it, as he may be worried for us. He was sent to a foreign country by Mrs Smith. We never mentioned anything to him. He also never asked us anything."Neil Partick said.

"OK. Now you two can go. We have to search for each and every room in this house, so please bring the keys ."Charlie said with a thought.

"OK."Neil Partick said and after two minutes he handed over the keys of all the rooms to Charlie.

"Bring my laptop from the car," Charlie ordered a security guard. The guard nodded and left.

"I think you should search for the hidden cameras and microphones of each and every room. I will try to check for any cameras in this house, are working now or not. I think this room might be used as the control room for all the bugs they had installed. But I could not understand, how Lucas had got this secret room when the owner of the house had no knowledge about it. Isn't it a bit strange?"Charlie said thoughtfully to Karl.
