Chapter 82 - 82. I Beg You

Elena turned her head and smiled a little. A smile that is very hard to see. It was as if she only slightly lifted the corner of her lips without anything shining in her eyes.

"How are you?" Elena asked quietly. She started to get up half-lying on the bed so she could talk more easily with Elise.

"Fine and well. How are you?"

"Much better." Elena looked straight at Elise. Elena is sure there is something that makes Elise come to see her in the middle of the night like this.

"What's the matter? What do you want to talk about?"

"I know all this is hard for you. You must be very sad about Sean's death. I feel the same way. Sean left without ever opening his eyes and seeing the world. And you can't see him one last time."

Hearing the name Sean mentioned by Elise made Elena's eyes fill with tears. Subconsciously her left hand slowly touched her stomach, where Sean, her son used to grow and develop.
