Chapter 319 - Ruby, My Maid

While Lina was taking deep breaths to gather her courage in order to step out of her room, Reuben was already outside.

He had taken his ice-cold shower to calm his burning hot desires and now was seated on the couch.

The couple had refreshed themselves with a shower and once again ventured outside after they had changed into new clothes.

Reuben turned in the direction of the noise of the door opening from the other side of his house, indicating that his Kitten had come out of her hiding place.

He smirked when he noticed the clothes that she was wearing and knew that he had played some part in the choice that she had made.

Lina averted her eyes when she felt his gaze as she walked in the direction of the man who was already present outside.

She would have thought that he had not moved out of that seat if it weren't for the new clothes and the damp hair she had noticed at first sight.

Reuben's eyes narrowed when he saw that she had stepped out of the room barefoot and her hair was dripping wet as well.

'I should get her some slippers so that she won't have to walk barefoot on the cold floor.' He determined and made a mental note to ask his assistant to do the needful.

His assistant was proficient in matters concerning women thanks to the hen-pecked husband he was to Reuben's sworn sister, Olive Kim.

The man rolled his eyes upon remembering that his assistant would soon be going on his paternity leave as the due date for Olive's delivery was at hand.

'I'll be able to handle things just fine without his presence.' Reuben scoffed and was sure that he did not need the assistant as much as the other man had thought he did.

He soon snapped out of his thoughts when he realized that his Kitten had taken her seat next to him on the same couch that they had done the deed earlier.

The mark on her neck was right before his eyes for him to admire and he could not help but marvel at his handiwork.

Reuben was not affected by the fierce glare she had given him, instead, he leaned closer with his brows raised at her.

"You haven't answered me yet." He teased with a devilish smile.

The smile that was only reserved for his Kitten was being used quite often as he was spending more time with her these days.

But the thought that she would soon go into her seclusion period and live that unhealthy lifestyle until she was done creating the designs for the Winter Collection made him frown.

Lina was lost too deep into the bashful blush that had taken over her entire face and had not observed the changes on his face.

Reuben was thinking of ways to stop Lina from following her strange method of closed-door cultivation when he heard her finally speaking up after she found the right words.

"Ruby also had fun, didn't he?" She blurted out in her anxiety but soon realized what she had just said.

The incessant cough that followed made the man rub and pat her back to calm her down.

He pulled away the towel that was hanging over her shoulders and turned her body around so that her back was facing him.

Reuben did not utter a word as he began wiping her hair dry for her.

Lina was impressed with his repeated thoughtful gestures and was thinking of ways on how to do something meaningful for him as well.

Reuben noticed that she was lost in her thoughts and took this chance to kiss the mark that he had made earlier.

"I did like what we did, Kitten. If only we could continue..." He whispered as he bit her earlobe.

Lina shuddered after feeling his actions and shut her eyes when he nibbled on her ear which was one of her sensitive erogenous zones.

'Ruby, my maid.' She giggled when she imagined Reuben dressed as a maid, doing everything that she asked him to do.

Amused at the sudden cheerful giggle that she had let out, the man leaned closer and blew his hot breath onto her ear.

"Lunch? Tomorrow?" He repeated to get her back from her weird thoughts.

"I'll deal with some things in the office then come pick you up for lunch. Sounds good?" She suggested and waited for his reply.

Reuben was more than happy to accommodate her arrangement as all he wanted was to spend more time with his Kitten before she disappeared for a short period of time.

"Alright!" He agreed with her plans and smiled when he observed that her hair was all dry now.

Lina turned around once he had stopped his movements and smiled at the man who was smiling back at her.

"I'll see you tomorrow morning. Good night, Ruby!" She wished and pecked his lips before scurrying back to the room that she had emerged from.

"Haishh…" Reuben sighed as he looked at the towel in his hand and shook his head.

'Sooner or later I will get you to open up to me.' He chuckled and rose from his seat to get back to his room so that he might get his proper sleep.

After all, he would be returning to the office after his long break to recover from his cold.
