Instead of risking then being discovered, Luke decided to retreat to their base in that mountain. Although they found what they were looking for, Amanda and her group looked quite a bit worried after seeing how serious the overlords could be. They only saw four armies, and each of those had at least five thousand monsters on their sides. Considering the number of corpses on the battlefields. It seemed that the overlords summoned around two thousand every day. A number like that with monsters of that level… they easily could destroy any nation back on Earth. As if that wasn't enough, they were leveling up every day. The longer they are left alone, the more troublesome they will become…

"It has been a while since I saw a battlefield that intense…" Shalia said while looking in the distance. "It reminds me of home."

" Fefore or after the monsters' arrival?" Luke asked.

"Before and after…" Shalia replied. "We are quite the competitive bunch. Why do I keep telling you to be ruthless, because some of us don't know when to give up."

"Savage would be a more appropriate word for those who fight against their kin…" Rina said.

"You might be right… but at least that made us stronger," Shalia said. "We lost many, but we aren't on the brink of extinction like you guys."

"Let's change the topic… we will have to deal with those armies and that is already a big problem," Luke said. "Let's not waste time and energy with anything else."

"Against opponents of that level and number, just a clever plan won't do it," Richter said. "Unless we can defeat two thousand of those every day, then we should aim for the overlords."

"The only problem is that they will gang up on us if one of their allies fall, it doesn't matter which size, it is obvious that they will do that," Luke said. "Some of us might be able to face those monsters, but they won't fall that fast…"

Luke could use his skeletons and the elves. While he could make the numbers a bit more equal against a single army, the difference in quality still would be high. Luke had another idea, but right at the moment, it wouldn't work… he will need to wait for a little longer…

"Difficult situations require drastic measures…" Luke said. "We will speed up the training of the elves. We will need them to attack those armies. Our first goal will be to level up at least twice every day in order to out speed the leveling up of the monsters. Those who have coins should also buy low level skills books and then make them level up at least once."

The plan wasn't that elaborate, but it was the only thing they could do right at the moment. Since they were bothering him, Luke decided to use Amanda's group and make them go hunt some monsters and also look for the Crystals in the Northern lands. It would be easy to fight pretty much whenever possible near them. Luke also knew that he could use their red crystal to summon frozen mammoths, but it seemed quite the evil thing to do. To summon a creature just to be killed right after for experience and gold coins. Besides, a lot of mana was necessary for that.

"What are we going to do while these guys are hunting?" Shalia asked.

"I was planning to check all the battlefields and cause some confusion while they fight each other to weaken themselves even more," Luke said. "I also planning to steal the drops and use them to strengthen our side. I saw a group of monsters carrying the loot of the battlefield… I wonder what they were planning to do with that…"

"I find it weird that the overlords would need loot… maybe we can use them alongside the crystals somehow," Rina said.

Luke wasn't so sure of that… the res crystal would have too many functions if that were the case, but they tried it anyway. As Luke had expected, nothing happened. Regardless, he still was planning to put his other plans in action.

After waiting for a few hours and using his mana to recharge the red crystal, Luke, Rina and Shalia left to approach that area again. However, they parked the ice castle even further than before. They couldn't risk losing that tool, after all.

Once that was done, Luke's group began to approach the first battlefield while searching for the enemy base. They assumed that the enemy was also a moving fortress… but there was no sign of it in any direction…

"Something feels off… they couldn't be in the sky, otherwise, they would have found us," Luke said while rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

"Maybe it is underground," Shalia said.

"We will have to wait and see how the monsters will appear, we can't attack them without knowing where their leaders are," Rina said.

It was a pain since it was morning and the battle had just started. Most likely, the next group will only arrive the next day or overnight. Still, Luke couldn't see any other option…

Luke, Rina, and Shalia waited patiently for the entire day, but they didn't notice any changes on the battlefield. They saw a group of arachnid warriors carrying some loot. Still, they stopped and put those items right behind their backlines… night came, and the monsters kept fighting nonstop until around half of both armies had been killed. The smell of smoke and blood was so intense that Luke felt like going dizzy even though he was several kilometers away from them.

That happened around midnight… but groups of monsters stopped fighting and then retreated a little. Then suddenly, Luke began to hear the sound of something massive approaching.. Fortunately, that was a night of the full moon, so he saw an object coming from the sky… it was a moving fortress, but much bigger than his. The monsters jumped toward it while carrying the loot, and then the fortress flew upward…
